At SEC Baseball tournament for the week. Very well organized. Very friendly and helpful staff. Only suggestion is to upgrade quality and selection of food items. Cold hot dogs on falling apart buns with only mustard and ketchup for condiments. Surely in the South we could also have a more varied selection with a couple of signature items. read more

It's a crying shame that the park does not accept cash for payment. My family turned around and didn't attend the games. So, maybe in the near future like next year bring back cash for acceptable payments, or your attendance numbers will go downhill. read more

Because my kids are athletes, I'm here quite a bit. I had the pleasure of sitting up in the boxes and they were nice. There's adequate seating, enough bathrooms, and the concessions are decent. The parking lot lines are not great, but I believe they're working on that soon. I know I'll be back here soon. read more

A very nice complex, but one person was allowed to be disruptive. There is a rule about disruptive noise but they don't enforce it. They allow the Vanderbilt Whistler which is very distressing to those who are not neurotypical. To some, it's actually painful. A family had to leave because their two autistic children were distressed and employees would do nothing. All people should be able to enjoy this great facility. read more

The five star review is for the event. I came here for this year's A Taste of Louisiana event and I really enjoyed the ease of being able to get into the facility. There is ample parking available; a plus in my book! This facility is well kept and the restrooms were nice and large. I was really impressed with how clean the grounds were. A Taste of Louisiana was a great event and the "Met" was an ideal location to host it at because of all the open ground space. Due to their being so much space, it made it comfortable for all the participants and patrons to not feel like they were on top of one another. It was really hot at this event but there were some shaded spots within the stadium. This was my first time attending an event here and I really enjoyed sampling food and interacting with the LSU alumni association. Roll Tide! read more

This is a decent size stadium to host any events that's happening. From sports to cook off festival, you're likely have a good time celebrating any occasion. Plenty of parking spaces which you'll never have to worry about finding one unless you come out early for a much better spot. I can't say how the seats are in the stadium since everything was happening up at the entrance, but the men's restroom was clean without any issues so that's good in my book. read more

We attended 14 baseball games during SEC week, so I've spent a lot of time at The Met this past week. I honestly have no negative things to say! The event staff was so friendly and were working so hard!! The bathrooms were clean every single time I used them. They had to be cleaning them constantly! They also had extra staff on site to spruce up the bleacher areas between games! The entry process was quick and easy with plenty of entry terminals (bag check, metal detectors, and ticket check). They also had a easy stamp process for re-entry so you could leave a session and come back into the stadium if you wanted to. Plenty of parking onsite as well! They offer stadium seats and bleacher seating (as well as box seating). The bleachers have a backrest which is really nice to have a little added support. Yes, the food prices are ball park prices (so not cheap), but for a sports complex, I didn't think they were super high, $5 nachos, $4 32oz drinks. They offer pizza, hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken fingers, fries, turkey wraps, peanuts, popcorn, candy, sodas (fountain or bottle), body armor sports drinks, bottled water. They also have carts set up with Dippin Dots ($5) and frozen lemonades, as well as a fresh lemonade stand ($7), and of course funnel cakes ($7). We had a great week and were impressed with The Met! We had a company holiday party here, what a neat place to have a get together. All of the tables were set up really nicely. They did not provide the food, as Jim n nicks catered it for us. But the space was very neat and clean. Only 2 floors and we were on the second. All in all if you are looking for a great place to host a company event I would go or this place your first look. read more

The Hoover Met has been the site of the SEC baseball tournament since 1998. I am biased because I live in Hoover, but I can't image a better location for this annual event. Good weather (average temperture for May between 60 and 82), centrally located from the SEC schools, and a first class venue that was a AA minor league park. There is not a bad seat in the stadium, and the capacity (around 11,000) is ideal for this event. The field is beautiful, and the gounds keepers do a fantastic job of getting it ready for each game. The city of Hoover continues to invest in improvements to the park. Some recent changes have included new signage, a new sound system, and moving the bull pens to beyond the outfield walls. After the 2016 tournament is completed, the Met will be expanded to become a multi-purpose sports complex. The changes will include: an indoor facility, updates to the adjacent RV park, and improved parking and traffic flow. If you are a fan of college baseball, the SEC Tournament at the Hoover Met is the next best thing to the College World Series in Omaha. read more

I love the Hoover Met! They have all kinds of games and events here. The parking is HUGE. It's like everyone in the stadium can get their own spot almost. Something Region's Field could probably never have. I've been here for two events, to watch their Fourth of July fireworks and to judge the Taste of Louisiana event. Their fireworks were beautiful for the 4th, but it did take maybe an hour or more to get out of the parking lot here. The Taste of Louisiana event was fine parking wise since it was a smaller event. As our Community Manager said, some things seemed a bit dated, but that's nothing a renovation can't fix! read more

Here for the SEC Baseball Tournament (maybe for the last time) Overall the stadium is pretty nice but a little dated. Hoover has maintained it well but the concourse not being open and restroom facilities are not in line with more contemporary stadiums. Effort was made to improve the parking and traffic situation over previous years but there was still some room for improvement. However it was much better than some other municipal stadiums I have attended sporting events at. I hope the tournament remains here if only for selfish convenience reasons. read more

Best football stadium I've been to! Would recommend! Watch a few games if you have the time.

The Hoover Met back in its prime was probably an incredible space. But after losing their most consistent client, I don't know how long it can stick around with updates. There are plenty of things with this stadium that have become dated. And although the city is doing the upkeep and adding some big elements to the area, I don't know the future of the Met. The biggest thing that the Met has over many other complexes of this magnitude is the amount of parking they have. You can not only park enough cars to fill the stadium. But you can also have enough room for RV parking for the rabid fans of SEC Baseball (primarily the reason I come out here). I have a lot of great memories at this stadium and hope for the best. But I will be interested to see where the Met stands in 10 years. read more

This is a nice gem in Hoover Alabama. Since the Birmingham Barons moved out it doesn't get used as much but it hosts the SEC baseball tournament. It has hosted the NCAA soccer championships. Hoover highschool's football team has played here often. Plenty of parking. Good facilities. Wish they could secure more events like maybe concerts. read more
