I recently had dinner at KC's with my father, and after thinking about my first experience there, I…read morerealized I may have been a little too hard on the restaurant in my initial review. I allowed one or two things that weren't necessarily to my personal taste to weigh too heavily on my overall impression--especially when I hadn't really given myself the opportunity to explore much of their menu. So, rather than writing KC's off, I'm actually excited to go back! This was my first visit and my dad's second. He had already spoken very highly of KC's and encouraged me to give it a try. My father and I share a love of good food, but like anyone else, we have our own individual tastes and preferences. Part of the fun of trying a new restaurant is discovering what works for you--and sometimes that takes more than one visit. First, KC's deserves a lot of credit for its atmosphere. I found it extremely welcoming and comfortable, with décor that blends a classic feel with a more modern touch. We chose a booth inside, and the seating was very comfortable. They also have a really nice outdoor dining area. Personally, the one thing that would keep me from choosing the patio is that smoking is allowed outside. That's simply a preference of mine. When I eat outdoors, I really enjoy the fresh air and would rather not have cigarette smoke nearby. I'd love to see KC's reconsider that policy someday, but I also understand that restaurants have to make decisions based on what works for their establishment and customers. It wasn't overly busy during our visit, and we were greeted and seated quickly. Our server, who was also tending the bar, was friendly, welcoming, and took good care of us. Now, about my burger--and this is where I have to own my mistake! I ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger knowing full well that I'm not particularly fond of cremini mushrooms. I decided I was going to give them another chance, and, well... apparently my taste buds haven't changed their minds! That isn't KC's fault. I ordered something containing an ingredient I already knew wasn't really for me. What I absolutely appreciated was that KC's uses quality, fresh hamburger rather than frozen patties. That makes a difference. For my own taste, I might go a little lighter on the seasoning, but again, that comes down to personal preference. I also sampled several tacos, and this is where things got interesting! The Ch-Ching Chicken Taco was fantastic. That one was easily a winner for me. It was flavorful, delicious, and I absolutely loved the sweet Thai chili sauce. I will DEFINITELY be ordering those again. I also tried the Alta Fish Taco, which I thought was good, although it had a little more heat than my taste buds are accustomed to. The Steak Fajita Taco was good as well, but once again had a bit of a kick for me. Someone who enjoys spicier food may absolutely love them. My dad ordered the veggie burger, which he had been raving about before we even arrived. It lived up to his expectations, and he loved it. He also tried the Brusslin Taco and really enjoyed that as well. At the end of the day, my father and I had a genuinely nice evening together at KC's. Looking back, I don't think it was entirely fair for me to let one burger that didn't suit my personal tastes influence my opinion of an entire restaurant--especially when there were other things I tried that I really enjoyed. Restaurants have menus for a reason: not everything is going to appeal to everyone, and sometimes you simply have to find your dish. That's why I'm looking forward to giving KC's another visit and exploring more of the menu. I already have my eye on the Rodeo Burger for next time! And those Ch-Ching Chicken Tacos? Oh, I'm definitely coming back for more of those.

Well we have been to KC's Kitchen & Cocktails about 5 times now (3-4 people)…read more Always enjoyed the selection of food items. Very good and tasty. Different then your average bar. Sad to say we had a bad experience yesterday afternoon (5/30/2026). The Cheese Curds, Veggie Burger and Bacon in the Chicken Wrap were all overcooked. Had to ask for silverware (can't eat soup without it ) ! And the Lavender Lemonade just tasted like regular Lemonade. Not sure what was going on but whoever the cook was needs to keep more of an eye on what's being cooked !

The hostesses were not friendly, not smiling. They get an F-. They didn't check in with the few groups who were waiting to update them. We also weren't allowed in the bar area for a drink before dinner either. We would have loved to sit at their pizza bar and have an appetizer and drink if we knew it would be that long of a wait. We were starving by the time we got to sit down. The service was amazing. The server was very friendly and knew the menu well. The drink menu is a bit overwhelming for sure. They also only bring one per table and then came back two minutes later asking for our drink orders. The drink menu is like 9 pages long so for three of us to read the drink menu wasn't feasible. I just went with her suggested Cabernet. My friend tried ordering their truffle pig pizza but we got their truffle pig salad. We said something to both our server and the person who delivered our pizza and they both just kind of chuckled along with us. We didn't have access to the menu then to go back and see if it was our mistake or theirs. The salad was delicious though and the Margherita pizza was delicious but it was soggy in the middle so the cook put too much sauce on for the delicate dough. But great flavor. The wine was okay but for $20 a glass I have had better. Maybe it wasn't the wine for me. They only had one selection of truffles that evening. No salt on the tables but they offer you fresh ground black pepper and Parmesan. My lamb chops needed no salt they were seasoned perfectly. I'm a salt lover too. The tiramisu was okay I've had better. Their affogato is by far the way to go for a nice light dessert. Overall it was a great experience and I will try them again. You are paying for the experience as well. Just know you can't be in a rush-plan several hours. I'm also really upset they made us wait so long and didn't let us into the bar. I understand, not wanting to have an overcrowded restaurant and not wanting to rush the people who are there so I'm not really sure what happened because other reviewers talked about being able to get a drink beforehand. I felt like we weren't cool enough for the hostesses so we got set on the back burner.

The service was fantastic all night. And the food. You get what you pay for, truly. This is a nice spot and the food is drool worthy. It's plated so nicely, everything was cooked to perfection, and they did a great job of complimenting sides with entrees. The cheese curds were also unique and fantastic. If you're in the area and want a dinner you know will be good, this is the spot.

We had the cheese curds for the appetizer and my husband had the pork tenderloin and I had the crusted chicken. All of our food was absolutely delicious- served hot, and perfectly seasoned. My husband commented that it tasted like a chef was in the kitchen. Think metropolitan, high-end restaurant quality food! Prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality. The ambience is charming yet fresh and modern. Very clean. I would suggest to dress resort casual or nicer for an evening meal. The service was attentive and welcoming. There is room for a large group. Outside seating is available, but I wouldn't recommend because it is near a busy traffic light which would detract from the experience. Don't hesitate to try the Courthouse Pub for a delicious, memorable meal.
