Right when I walked in I was met with a fun atmosphere full of people both at tables and the bar laughing and just having fun. There is no host stand or designated waiters so just grab an open seat and someone will be with you shortly. I sat at the bar and was greeted within 30 seconds by one of the bartenders, asked what I would like to drink, and was offered a food menu. I ordered a Spotted Cow and Diet Coke to drink then placed a food order of the Combo Fish Fry Plate. The plate included generous pieces of fish (5 total) of Walleye and Perch, slaw, rye bread/butter, fries, and sauces. WOW was the food delicious, I loved the perch and rye bread...I would be very happy with just that! Beyond the food and drink, the people working and eating/drinking were just so nice and fun. Sitting at the bar, I struck up a conversation with a couple different people and to my surprise was met with great conversation. I was visiting Manitowoc for work and found everyone I talked to at the Fat Seagull was so happy to have visitors and welcomed me with open arm.
