Beautiful place. Tried a little bit of everything and wasnt impressed by the food. Great service (besides giving you bread)! Sadly the food wasnt as good as youd hope. To start there is complimetary bread but they give you one tiny piece at a time and take forever to come back. There is also no oil or butter on the table for it. Meats and olive appetizer: seemed like cured meat i can get at festival. The olive brine they added didnt taste good. Margarita Pizza: dry, sauce was good Cacio e pepe: finished table side. This was a big dissapointment. No flavor at all. They really need to put salt on the table if theyre gonna serve this. Manila clam pasta: truly flavorless and the clams were very chewy. Inedible. Fantastic experience. We made the decision to eat here based on a number of people's recommendation. It was last minute so we ended up with a 5PM reservation, which was kind of early but ended up working out. Service was impeccable from the host who seated us up through the GM who spent several minutes catch up with us. Tried a few different wines that were all terrific. Had a pizza and a pasta dish, both good but the pasta really stood out. Tirramsu for dessert was light and fluffy but next time will try something else. Perfect setting for a special meal. Che figata! I've been to Italy twice, but that's all the Italian you're going to get from me here. Our family of 9 celebrated our Christmas early and chose Truffle Pig as our official Christmas Dinner. My parents live in the area and have been here twice already and raved about it. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. Pastas, sea bass, calamari...delicious with perfect seasoning. The only thing that was not perfect was the lentil salad-the rather large globs of gorgonzola made eating it difficult. It still was delicious. The decor is gorgeous. Even the women's bathroom is stunning. One small issue for our party was the couch/bench was rather low so the shorter people were uncomfortable. Regarding some reviews about the slow service. Try not to think of it as slow. Think of it as how Europeans experience a meal. It's an event, a time to enjoy conversation and linger over the meal. read more

I brought my daughter to Truffle Pig for her birthday dinner. I was excited to bring her after having a wonderful dinner there last spring. Our waiter, Cameron C, was fantastic. He was informative and attentive. The ambiance is romantic and decor is beautiful. The disappointment came with the entrees. Both were overly salted, to the point where I chose to not eat mine. I didn't send it back because I didn't want to embarrass my daughter. I found out on the way home, her dinner was way too salty also. I read other reviews stating there was a lack of salt. Unfortunately, it seems to have went in the other direction. My daughter ordered the Maltagliati. The portion size was appropriate for the price, but the presentation was not appealing. Green pasta in a chunky brown sauce. I had the Ravioli Truffle pig. As cute as the pig shapes were, the very small portion size and lack of filling, did not justify the $38.00 price tag. I knew that this was not your average Oshkosh restaurant and my past experience confirmed that. I was looking forward to having a place to go for special occasions, but now might have to keep looking. read more

I really wanted to give this five stars and if there was a half option I would have went with 4.5. My friend and I were here visiting from out of town. It was a last minute decision to stop by and we didn't have a reservation. They were able to squeeze us in and we only waited about 15 minutes which was great. The place was packed. We started at the bar. The bartender was a bit overwhelmed and must of been training someone because it did take a bit to get our wine. We both ordered the rose. It was good. Our waitress Norah was excellent. Told us about the menu and how it just switched to the Autumn menu. Pointed out some new items. We started with the baked burrata. Unfortunately it left a lot to be desired. My picture of it wasn't the best but you'll see it's more like tomato soup. We weren't even sure how to eat it. It also needed a little salt or seasoning. The bread that came with it was delicious. It would have been better if it was not fully baked soupy. I ordered tableside spaghetti cacio. The whole experience of them bringing the cheese wheel and mixing the pasta in is so much fun. It was really good but I had to have our waitress bring more pepper for it. My friend ordered dolce vita pizza with the pear. It was good but like everything else needed a little more spice or something. Lastly we ordered the crème brule. It was fantastic. Out of everything we had that was the best. My only complaint is the lack of salt and pepper shakers on the tables. We agreed that everything we had needed just a little more salt or pepper. Incredibly exceptional from start to finish. The food is out of this world delicious. The attentive waitress we had 6/18/26 was top notch and classy. The entire atmosphere felt like I was transported off to Italy. It felt like I was at the Epcot Italy pavilion for who authentic it felt. I absolutely adored the bread and three choices of waters. It was my birthday and I even got a candle in a dessert free of charge. The staff is so sweet and smiling. Their positive energy really made a huge difference too. Black summer truffle shaved table side was the highlight of the meal. The Insalata Truffle Pig was so fresh, the artichoke is cooked perfectly and its' nuttiness helped balance out the tartness from the lemon vinaigrette. The tiramisu was so light yet so flavorful, it complemented the espresso martini wonderfully (also one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had). This establishment has a fantastic atmosphere, and the staff are exceptional and care about all the little details that really make you feel special. Went here for valentines day with my fiance and we're already going back for more on our anniversary. The ambiance was beautiful and romantic, the service was very attentive and everyone was nice. The food was absolutely incredible. We got the salmon carpaccio Valentine's Day special which was amazing, the lamb chops were the best I've ever had and the hand made pasta was to die for. We also got the pistachio cake with raspberry frosting - my fiance and I aren't big cake eaters but we were scraping the plate. My fiance also ordered the godfather drink and he LOVED it (he's typically pretty picky with his cocktails). I am so excited to celebrate our five year anniversary here! Fine Dining done right. The food is absolutely delicious and it feels as though you are walking in the doors to a place that doesn't belong where it is. In the very best way. Authentic Italian food and great service. I'm writing this as they are just in the first days of being open and while the staff are still getting warmed up - they were great. Asked for recommendations on nearly everything and was given great descriptions and took every recommendation. The ambiance?? Not a single detail was skimped. They really did a fabulous job of ensuring every little things was done well...not just done but done with the upmost care and attention to detail. Even the restrooms are beautiful and you can tell they took care into how they decorated and picked out colors and lighting to make it immersive. I had the Casoncelli and it was perfect! The taste was on point and the portion was exactly right. My dining friend ordered the Veal and it was very tender and the housemade chips were excellent. Though...maybe it's midwestern of me, I would have enjoyed a bit of sour cream with it but that's a personal preference. We had the Tiramisu and Creme Brule for dessert. You can absolutely tell that it was made super fresh because they were both so creamy. We even had decaf coffee to end the evening and that coffee was pleasantly smooth. In regards to price point - I don't think it's any more than what you'd expect to see at a steakhouse or similar place so I think it's fair but for this area, definitely a place for special occasions or just nice date nights or girls nights. Would also be great for corporate dinners. Cannot wait to go back again and to share with as many as I can. read more

The restaurant is gorgeous, with comfortable seating, soft lighting, and a beautiful mural of Italy. The specialty cocktails were exceptional. The calamari appetizer was really good, and the shrimp included in it was the best part. The minestrone soup was tasteless- mostly just a watery broth with scarce white beans and cabbage (probably frozen and thawed), with fresh green peas oddly added to it. I was surprised they served it, honestly. It definitely needs to be upgraded or replaced. The steak dinner was very good- tender, and the truffle dipping oil added good flavor. The pasta was also good, but the portions were very small. They should also have garlic bread- was only given small slices of Italian bread, dry (no oil or butter). Didn't see any garlic bread on the menu. Tiramisu was good for dessert, but not very sweet. Overall, it was decent. The service was quite slow with bringing out the entrees. Worth trying again at a later date to see if it improves. read more

I just finished dinner with my family and had a bizarre experience. We were celebrating a family member's retirement, for which he received a gift card from his co-workers. When we paid, we also sent back a separate credit card to cover the amount over and above what was on the gift card. This is pretty standard with gift cards - if the amount on the card doesn't cover the meal, you simply put the overage on the credit card. Our waiter returned the gift card and said that there was still an amount left over on the card and that the credit card wasn't needed. We signed for our bill and lingered for another 20-30 minutes to finish our conversation. On the way home, the general manager called me and said that there was an excess balance on our account that needed to be paid. He requested that I pay over the phone for the amount still owed on our bill. He proceeded to blame our waitress (who was wonderful) for the mistake. He then insisted that I wait on the phone for 10 minutes while he ran my credit card information. I felt like I was being accused of dining and dashing, when this should've been resolved internally before we even left the building. Especially when we anticipated the issue and sent a card back to specifically avoid a situation like this. If this were any other restaurant, I would normally chalk it up to a simple mistake but this is a fine dining restaurant that cannot achieve a task as simple as processing payment. I am embarrassed for them to have to call and beg for something that never should have happened. And I am appalled that the general manager tried to throw our waitress under the bus for his own failings. I'm a regular at the other T.J. Rodgers restaurants, and this is by far the worst experience I've had at one of them. I won't be returning to Truffle Pig, and I strongly encourage you to take your money elsewhere if you do not wish to be shaken down on the phone after your dinner. FOOD: Excellent quality, small portions. SERVICE: Our waitress was excellent, but the other servers (water, bread, etc.) seemed confused and preoccupied when servicing the table. ATMOSPHERE: We enjoyed the ambiance and our table, but the decor (specifically the faux-vaulted ceilings) felt out of place with the beautiful floor and historic building. read more

The food and service were impeccable . Everything we ordered was excellent . They come around with a basket of bread, cut into smaller rectangles and they give you two pieces. I ordered the chicken And it was very bland and oily. All in all the food at the Truffle Pig was very underwhelming considering the difficulty getting reservations, fancy entrance and beautiful interior design. Our first time here, we tried two different appetizers, pasta entrees and desserts along with wine and coffee. None of it was extraordinary to us.
