2nd half of my Club Sandwich!
    John F.

Good old Friar Tucks. Has been around for a long time, and always comes through with good service, good food and an excellent 2 for 1 Happy Hour! Large menu with plenty to choose from. Something for everyone, as long as you are in the mood for a sandwich or a fish fry. They have a lot of sides available and at least a couple of soups every day. All good!

My wife and I came here for lunch. This place has rustic decor. It is not brightly lit making for an intimate ambiance. We were seated immediately despite being nearly full. Our waitress was prompt and brought our drinks before we were ready to order. We decided to split the Submarine sandwich and get side orders of French fries and chili. The Submarine sandwich consists of a combination of ham, turkey, salami, and cheese on French bread. Served with tomatoes and our special dressing (Served hot or cold). The dressing is an Italian vinaigrette. It also comes with a sour cream and dill spread. This sandwich is perfect to share or for 2 meals. The sandwich is of good quality. It is heaped with meat and cheese, topped with fresh lettuce and tomato. The fries were lightly seasoned and deep fried to a crispy texture. The chili was good and hearty. It was flavorful but not spicy. This chili is unique as they add macaroni to it. It was topped with shredded cheese and came with Texas toast. This will be my new go-to sandwich shop.

The lady staff behind the bar are great! This place has a nice local feel. Drinks, food, and conversation with the bartenders was great. The place was busy on a Thursday. Stop in and enjoy.

Double cheese burger with bacon and grilled onions. Car with sliced pickles and condiments on the side

Ordered a double cheeseburger with bacon and grilled onions. It was hot and delicious and medium just like I asked. Would def go back for other burgers there. For normal people the regular cheese burger would be fine. It was a total of 1pound for the meat and was good through the whole thing. Would def recommend this place to anyone for the $13 price tag.

Cute little place. Typical bar fare but the servers are dressed out of Robin Hood with frocks on. Place was quiet so we got our food quickly. By the time we left, the parking lot was full. The onion rings and chicken wings were good. The wings aren't sauced buy you can get one on the side to dip. The creamy buffalo was good and not too spicy (if at all). Drinks were well poured. Happy we stopped by!

This place caught my eye as we drove down the street, I think it was the sign. Im a sucker for unique signage. If it's different it's probably pretty good. Well it indeed was. We love dark cozy places and this place has it. I walked outside after leaving and could barely see from my eyes trying to adjust. All good tho. I started with a bloody mary which was very good, the waitress asked me what I wanted my garnishments to be. Really? AWESOME! All of them!!! ha! Ordered the french onion soup and the 1/2 submarine sandwich and the hubby ordered a bacon cheeseburger. I must say this was probably one of the best bacon cheeseburgers I have tried in a very long time. My sub sandwich was good. But I will try something else next time. The bacon cheeseburger tasted very fresh and had juicy original flavor. Most impressed. We will definitely venture back.

I recently had dinner at KC's with my father, and after thinking about my first experience there, I…read morerealized I may have been a little too hard on the restaurant in my initial review. I allowed one or two things that weren't necessarily to my personal taste to weigh too heavily on my overall impression--especially when I hadn't really given myself the opportunity to explore much of their menu. So, rather than writing KC's off, I'm actually excited to go back! This was my first visit and my dad's second. He had already spoken very highly of KC's and encouraged me to give it a try. My father and I share a love of good food, but like anyone else, we have our own individual tastes and preferences. Part of the fun of trying a new restaurant is discovering what works for you--and sometimes that takes more than one visit. First, KC's deserves a lot of credit for its atmosphere. I found it extremely welcoming and comfortable, with décor that blends a classic feel with a more modern touch. We chose a booth inside, and the seating was very comfortable. They also have a really nice outdoor dining area. Personally, the one thing that would keep me from choosing the patio is that smoking is allowed outside. That's simply a preference of mine. When I eat outdoors, I really enjoy the fresh air and would rather not have cigarette smoke nearby. I'd love to see KC's reconsider that policy someday, but I also understand that restaurants have to make decisions based on what works for their establishment and customers. It wasn't overly busy during our visit, and we were greeted and seated quickly. Our server, who was also tending the bar, was friendly, welcoming, and took good care of us. Now, about my burger--and this is where I have to own my mistake! I ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger knowing full well that I'm not particularly fond of cremini mushrooms. I decided I was going to give them another chance, and, well... apparently my taste buds haven't changed their minds! That isn't KC's fault. I ordered something containing an ingredient I already knew wasn't really for me. What I absolutely appreciated was that KC's uses quality, fresh hamburger rather than frozen patties. That makes a difference. For my own taste, I might go a little lighter on the seasoning, but again, that comes down to personal preference. I also sampled several tacos, and this is where things got interesting! The Ch-Ching Chicken Taco was fantastic. That one was easily a winner for me. It was flavorful, delicious, and I absolutely loved the sweet Thai chili sauce. I will DEFINITELY be ordering those again. I also tried the Alta Fish Taco, which I thought was good, although it had a little more heat than my taste buds are accustomed to. The Steak Fajita Taco was good as well, but once again had a bit of a kick for me. Someone who enjoys spicier food may absolutely love them. My dad ordered the veggie burger, which he had been raving about before we even arrived. It lived up to his expectations, and he loved it. He also tried the Brusslin Taco and really enjoyed that as well. At the end of the day, my father and I had a genuinely nice evening together at KC's. Looking back, I don't think it was entirely fair for me to let one burger that didn't suit my personal tastes influence my opinion of an entire restaurant--especially when there were other things I tried that I really enjoyed. Restaurants have menus for a reason: not everything is going to appeal to everyone, and sometimes you simply have to find your dish. That's why I'm looking forward to giving KC's another visit and exploring more of the menu. I already have my eye on the Rodeo Burger for next time! And those Ch-Ching Chicken Tacos? Oh, I'm definitely coming back for more of those.

Sad to say we had a bad experience yesterday afternoon (5/30/2026). The Cheese Curds, Veggie Burger and Bacon in the Chicken Wrap were all overcooked. Had to ask for silverware (can't eat soup without it ) ! And the Lavender Lemonade just tasted like regular Lemonade. Not sure what was going on but whoever the cook was needs to keep more of an eye on what's being cooked !

This place is advertised as gastropub food, which is intended and designed to be quick food to make. My inclination is that they wanted us to wait there as long as possible to keep ordering more drinks. It took so long I thought the chef had quit mid shift. Food: underwhelming and average. Nothing you couldn't make at home with minimal effort. Tasted greasy. Even if it was good, I couldn't have appreciated it because the wait was SO long I was starving and dizzy from low blood sugar by the time it arrived. Unacceptable. Will not go back and would not recommend. I'd only recommend in the event you're practicing intermittent fasting or on an intense diet.

The ambience is charming yet fresh and modern. Very clean. I would suggest to dress resort casual or nicer for an evening meal. The service was attentive and welcoming. There is room for a large group. Outside seating is available, but I wouldn't recommend because it is near a busy traffic light which would detract from the experience.
