Imo it's basically the same concept as chop house burger across the street. They have different "types" of burgers and fries to choose from all for a hefty price. Chop house burger is 5.00 less total for the same type of burger and truffle fries. 15.00 for 1 person for LUNCH? Waaaaay expensive for what you get. I get it's not dollar menu meat, but don't eat here if your looking for a quick cheap meal. Tried to eat here yesterday and they couldn't seat us for a table of 5. We absolutely did not mind waiting, we just wanted to know what our options were. They offered to split our party into two booths that were next to each other, which we agreed to and we were shown the two booths we were going to be sitting at. There was another party who already had their number at one of the booths and I guess the hostess didn't realize that, so when we tried to sit there, we awkwardly got told by the other party that they already had their number card at the booth. With no more options, we asked if it would be possible to wait for two other parties to leave to we could push two tables together or sit next to each other with booths, to which the hostess told us she didn't know when people were going to leave to be able to do that. I was totally fine with waiting and asked if she had an estimated wait time and we got a pretty snippy response of "I have no idea when people are going to leave". So we just left. Currently using pre-cooked, very thin patties and still charging $12 for a burger. Usually their patties are thick, delicious, and cooked medium or to-order. Did not disclose when I was ordering that it would not be their usual quality. When I called to ask, they said it was due to the beef shortage and told me I was still getting the same amount of beef because I was getting two of the thin patties. Looked around and EVERY single table was dirty with waiters just wondering around doing nothing. Salad choices suck, burgers are all pretty much the same. Maybe my wife and I are just not hip enough to enjoy the concept of HopDoddy. Self service with sit down prices. Extremely loud music, order station is right next to the kitchen which makes it very difficult to hear the cashier taking the order. Food was ok at best, nothing special. Fries were a big disappointment as several were burnt and very tiny pieces. Its like they are unsure if they want to be a bar that serves food or a restaurant with a bar. Today I had the worst restaurant experience of my life. We used to love this place, but after our experience today, we will never be going back. We love the impossible burger and since it costs $14 if you make it vegan (recently reduced, it used to be $15), we would regularly spend $75 or more to get some burgers and fries. This is a ridiculous cost, but the impossible burger is really good and we will miss it. Today We decided to try their other vegan burger the "LaBandita" ($9.25 each) for the first time. We ordered 3 burgers and some fries at 1:01pm. The restaurant was not busy when we ordered but a flood of people came in after us. We patiently waited, noticing it was taking longer than normal. We folded our receipt into a paper airplane to try to amuse our 1 year old and 6 year old sons, then waited some more. After all the other tables around us who came in much later than us got their burgers, I unfolded our paper airplane to see how long it had been since we ordered. It was 1:34pm. We had been WAITING FOR 33 MINUTES!!! I flagged down our waitress who had only checked on us once in the 30 minutes we had been waiting. I said "I just wanted to check on our food...." That is all I could get out before she said yes and ran away. I could see her checking on our food, bringing another table their burgers then checking again. Ten minutes later she came to our table and asked, "What did you order?" Completely blown away by this question, I handed her our receipt and she took it to the front counter where she talked with other employees. I realized, they don't have our food and it has now been 40 minutes since we ordered, so we went to the counter, demanded a refund and walked out empty handed and still hungry but with no time left to eat anything else before my husband had to return to work. They claimed that our obviously vegan burgers were delivered to a different table and no one said anything. This does not make sense to me though since surely the waitress would have then noticed that she delivered two orders to the same people. Also why didn't our waitress check on our food earlier when we were sitting at her table for 33 minutes empty handed. Plus if I ordered any other burger on their menu, I would be upset if I got the la bandita, an obviously vegan burger made with black beans and corn. It just doesn't make sense, plus I saw the waitress look behind the counter where the cooks are and show the other employees a ticket for our food that was still back there. I couldn't hear what they said though. I included a picture of our receipt. You can see the order was placed at 1:01pm today and I took the picture as soon as I got in the car at 1:44pm, empty handed and still hungry with nothing but a "I'm sorry" to show for the 43 minutes I wasted. As far as quality is concerned, amazing burgers and fries! Their drink selection is also strong and relatively inexpensive. But it is SO SO SO SLOW. There's nothing that bothers me more at a restaurant than waiting until AFTER your food arrives to get your first drink. So painful. They encourage you to get your drink with a server, but it takes 20 minutes, whereas if you just go to the bar it takes 3. Great food, but definitely good to know these things to avoid frustrations. read more

Five stars for the sparkling pamplemouse (Deep Eddy grapefruit and Rose wine)! I don't drink liquor but could not resist trying it. It must be very light on alcohol because it just tasted like a fruity no alcohol drink with no effects. We have been twice and both times my burger was very unevenly cooked (half well done, half medium rare). Worst though is that the fries were hard (not crispy, but so hard that we couldn't bite them). I was harassed and discriminated by Hopdoddy mgr yesterday. My family ate there and I was to pick up the kids. I wanted a drink before pucking up family. I waited 5 mins, not waited on when Mgmt told me I could not sit where they already served my family. It took 15 mins to get my drink. I was never waited after getting 1 drink when I decided to eat. 5 was told by another man I had to move when we were about to leave. I was only there 24 mins and realized I was targeted, harassed, discriminated against. This place has a lot of explaining. I may contact the US EEOC for advise. I am very disappointed since I wad going to make this place my weekly visit to drink and or eat. read more

I love that they have the Impossible burger here! I always get really excited when I see it on the menu. Kudos for having vegan and vegetarian options. The only issue I had was that my Impossible burger was insanely salty. I looked at the burger and there was this thick layer of salt on the bottom. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was a one time error. If it hadn't been so salty, I think it would have been a great burger and for an Impossible burger, it was reasonably priced. Our fries and drinks were good and I really like their chipotle ketchup and honey mustard. My family's burgers were all good. We went to the S. Congress location in Austin a couple years ago and remembered having a top 5 burger (sorry, nothing will ever equal Club Schmitz of old). Our first trip to this Euless location was odd. It was as an off time and they seemed to be apologetic that we didn't have to wait in line, like it was a part of the experience -- It was like they are proud of the fact that you generally have to wait in line to get into the place. Well, here's the deal. Instead of a waiting area, like most restaurants, they have none. Second, they have only 2 people taking your orders for food and drink. If they used their waiters to take your order -- and they have plenty of servers there -- this would eliminate standing uncomfortably in line while you wait just to place your order -- where you are also obliged to pay AND tip before you have even been seated or served!!! Now, to the food. The burgers, buns, and fries are great. There are burgers just as good around though.....say....Twisted Root, for example. The two of us had burgers, one order of fries, and a couple of beers. $60 later, we were on our way. Bottom line, this place is mostly hype. You definitely get a good burger, but you will pay for the experience -- and wait STANDING in line for the privilege. If they will just train their myriad of servers to be waiters, voila, lines and empty tables will disappear!!!! Then I will give 4 stars. read more

The burgers at the 121 Location are always very dry for me. Combined with the facts the line is always long and two people can easily cost 40 dollars I just cannot recommend this place anymore. This is a really good burger bar with great decor and food. Their Primetime Burger with Kobe beef is to DIE for, and their truffle fries are amazing. They have a great selection of beer and their shakes are delicious too! The I had heard good things about Hop Doddy, but did not find the experience leaving me with the desire to need to return. The layout is odd and feels awkward. If this was taken to a larger facility that might help, but it feels cramped and overwhelming. The quality of the meat is good and you can see that is where they put emphasis by watching a person make the patties in a cooled room with windows. The over all burgers I have had have been good, but have not left me longing to return to have another. The staff were nice, but nothing that stands out. The Quality was good but it is overpriced and they do basically a single file line from a point inside the restaurant if you happen to be at the door or at a certain point that line you have to wait outside not happy with the system of how they do things but the quality of the food is good it's just relatively expensive for what you get. I haven't been to many restaurants that have a strict rule on how the line is to be formed as this place does well I understand fire code I think that their maximum occupancy limit is higher than they are allowing. I would advise to management and owners that they re-think that policy because that is enough to cause someone to decide to go somewhere else because they don't want to stand outside in the weather. read more
