I enjoy working with kiddos and making a positive impact in their lives! I first joined hope builders construction program in july 2024. While i was attending i learned the common construction skills like measuring, cutting, blueprints, math that correlates to construction and overall working as a team. We also learned interview skills which was my favorite part, We learned how to sit correctly , talk and be respectful. We also took a employment readiness class that helped us be professional when looking for a job. The schedule for these classes were M/F, Tuesday/Thursday were soft skills & employment readiness , and Monday&Friday hardskills which was hands on construction. The schedule would change in the middle of the 3 months. The staff were very helpful and understanding to your situation's,the program has a-lot to offer if you ask, the people you meet during the program are a journey where you grow together. I never missed a day of hope builders program i graduated in October. and im forever thankful for them. I landed a job in the fields with good pay and they showed me to not give up and keep trying, kept the job for more then six months and graduated as a hope builders alumni. I was part of their first BT program when the pandemic started, before that my boyfriend and I were lost in what direction we wanted our life to be.. he found hope builders general construction class, and later told me all about it and helped me sign up. I've never been a go getter, but this was my only chance and everyone at Hope builders was rooting for me. So I did it, all within just a couple of months, got my license, got my own car, got help with my mental health, and before I knew it I was out on the field, going from home to home working in ABA then began working in a school setting as a SPED Paraprofessional I began helping so many kids. Almost 6 years later, I am now married to the same person who showed me Hope Builders, he is an electrician and he is just near the finish line with his apprenticeship. I have now become a stay at home mom but none of this would be possible if it wasn't for hope builders. My husband and I wouldn't be living the beautiful life we live if it wasn't for them. With that being said, if anyone comes across this, DO IT. THIS IS YOUR SIGN. I promise you, it will change your life. We were two 20 year olds who had no motivation to go to college, we were working at a grocery store and a restaurant, smoking, drinking, and both with lots of trauma that we couldn't let go of. read more

I am currently enrolled in Hope Builders certified medical assisting program for Summer 2025. At Hope Builders, they teach you skills needed for the job that are not only essential, but will make you a stand out employee. I learned how to take vital signs, administer injections, and how to draw blood. The program also taught me how to create a professional résumé, important interview skills, and how to communicate effectively in a professional workplace. The staff here is absolutely amazing! Each of them truly want to see you succeed, and are there to help you as much as they can. They not only offered educational support, but the program also offered biweekly stipends and childcare stipends. The course is fast pace and intense, but extremely worth it! I started off scared and unsure, but I am now in my final week of class before heading off to externship! I feel so much more confident and ready to go out into the workplace and put my skills to use. I am extremely and forever thankful to Ms. Diaz and Ms. Blanca for helping me get ready for this career. This program was from Monday-Friday it was a full time commitment. I gained hands on experience I was able to learn the different principles of child development and reinforce positive behaviors. I started the Hope Builders child development program in August of 2025. It is only a month long program but I learned so much in the short period of time. I learned about behaviors, why they happen, how to prevent and react to them, and how to take data on it. It was an intense program with classes at 9am-4pm Monday-Friday but I got support and tutoring from the teachers so I never fell behind. I didn't think I would have a chance to start a career with children based on my financial situation, but Hope Builders made that possible. They helped me gain confidence in myself and my career. Without Hope Builders I wouldn't have had the opportunity to go into this field but now I'm not only certified, I'm confident in my knowledge and I know I will be an amazing RBT all thanks to this program! read more

I completed the CDC program at Hope Builders, from the time of July to August. I've learned so many skills and things about myself that have helped me better prepare myself for the workforce and I feel more confident in myself because of the instructors and constructive feedback I had received while in the program. I learned the roles and duty of being a behavior technician, as well as the terminology and knowledge I will need going into the field. I've learned skills such as Anecdotal Note taking, how to find to motivations for a client, how to interact with the client and how to reward or extinguish behaviors. I can't thank this program enough for what it did for me. I went into the medical assistant program with no knowledge or skill but I had an amazing teacher Miss.McCob that showed me the way. If it wasn't for her and my other amazing teachers I wouldn't be were I'm at today. Because of them I work in a great doctors office with amazing people and since working as a medical assistant I want to further my education to becoming a registered nurse to continue helping people. hope builders came into my life at a time where I needed a change of direction the most. Were it not for them I would have likely still been stuck at my previous job. They helped point me in the right direction as a graduate from their IT program I was able to get a job on my own just by sharing that I attended this program and the classes at Santa Ana college. The staff was very kind and helpful in answering questions related to improving oneself to be a great candidate in a professional workspace.
