It is not that this firm is absolutely terrible, but it has very real shortcomings for the price. I will give concrete examples. Most law firms go over the paperwork with you, and they help you fill out the questionnaires and what not. This firm WILL NOT do that. If you are latino and have poor English, you're on your own! You have to fill everything out yourself. I had gone to a firm in Atlanta before, and they went over every single line with you. You didn't do anything home alone. Second, when you call them on the phone, GOOD LUCK! You will be put on an answering machine. You can't speak to a human. You have to leave a message and they "get back to you" in some time. This is horrible! The other firm I mentioned which I used, in Atlanta, has a human being ACTUALLY answer the phone! How crazy! And they are knowledgeable with the law and help you! Not here. Pretty much the ONLY reason anyone should ever go here is if it is close to them and they have no other choice. If you can afford the drive, go somewhere else. This is important for you after all. On a last note, I heard the staff MOCKING a "customer" after they hung up the phone, because they expected that they were going to receive aid in filling out the forms! They were talking behind their back and laughing and mockingly saying how of course they are not going to go over every little line with them and "fill it out for them"... but this is what a good law firm does! They're there to hold your hand. I've got many more gripes, but I thought I'd just write out the concrete ones. How disappointing. I wish I knew this before I dropped multiple grand $$$ here. Oh yeah, and just take a look how the other "review" on here with 5 stars is OBVIOUSLY FAKE.... it reads like a freaking ad! It is so obviously not an actual review, probably the owners buddy. Not only did they do the barest minimum in helping to push my case along, but they also disregarded much of the information I had provided them. I heard on repeat that my case wasn't filed with all the proper documents in an attempt to scare me. They also attempted to overcharge me every step of the way by adding flat fees to my bill without prior notice as stipulated in their retainer agreement. The lawyer assigned to my case also made sure to make herself as inaccessible as possible as I was unable to ever reach her over the phone to discuss my case. Left up to them, my immigration case would have failed and they would just point me to their disclaimer which says they cannot guarantee a result either way. At one point the lawyer in charge of my case threatened to withdraw their services because I was communicating with the immigration service myself. I understand now that communicating by myself meant they couldn't charge me a flat fee for a 'service' rendered. They were clearly more interested in my money than rendering me great service. I am thankful I did my due diligence in ensuring I received a favourable immigration result by doing my own research and advocating for myself throughout the process. Saying I was disappointed by the service I received is an understatement. I will not recommend anyone use this law firm if they value their money.

My journey for citizenship was a long, stressful process filled with a lot of frustrations and anger on my end because of the attorney and clerks who were involved in my case and included incorrect/missing information on my application. I've consulted numerous law firms about the firm's actions (hypothetically without names mentioned) and have been told constantly that there is an issue of incompetency. Two immigration officers have reaffirmed this and confirmed that these errors in my and my mother's application are unacceptable. They have yet to sincerely apologize (after review has been updated they have acknowledged the issue) While there were times I was not clear as the client or there were miscommunication or alternatively was not asked about the right information, not one clerk or lawyer asked me for clarification, the right information or double check important details of my application and instead chose to damage my application by leaving parts blank that should have otherwise been filled out (work occupation details, etc) or blatantly making up (what they refer to as "minor clerical errors") cities/states and how my name would look like, risking my citizenship and hurting my first impression at the interview with the officer. I had to review and fix everything again and again. Over the past 2 years, it was constant back and forth, me fixing mistakes, me reviewing drafts, and a lot of work on my end to review my dad's, mother's, brother's and sister's application to make sure clerks did their job. For this particular deal, I went from list to close in three weeks. It would've been even faster if the court didn't hold up the title search. At least, that's what Liu & Associates told me. I hadn't heard of Liu & Associates until this deal. However, my agent had worked with them before. The buyer and their agent chose Liu & Associates to be the closing attorney. Specifically, Nancy Liu was supposed to be our closing attorney, but she was so busy at the time of our closing that her partner, Warren Wen, conducted the closing instead. Warren had us in and out in less than an hour. All documents seemed to be in order and Warren knew what he was doing. It was boom, boom, boom. Sign, sign, sign. The number of documents to sign seemed significantly less than the last closing I experienced with one difference being this was a cash closing. I felt significantly more comfortable at this closing than I did at my last closing which was at Trey Inman & Associates, PC in Buckhead. Simply put, the folks at Liu & Associates were much friendlier and way more down-to-earth. I felt like I could trust them more. Warren was a funny guy and kind of a goofball. Warren, if you're reading this, I mean it in a good way. I'm a goofball too. During closing, Warren would lighten things up by throwing in jokes, some of which could be quite corny. For example, when I had to give Warren my photo ID, he said it would be $10,000 to get it back. But seriously, everything went through without a hitch. Warren explained each document in plain English and even admitted that a particular document was difficult for even lawyers to understand (I believe it may have been poorly written). All three parties (buyer party, seller party, closing attorney) left the closing feeling happy, which I think really says it all. In the days leading up to closing, I worked with pre-closer Diane Chang. She was tasked with getting everything in order so we could close on the closing date written in the contract. Diane worked around the clock, during business hours, after business hours, emailing me, answering my emails, and returning my phone call promptly. I appreciated the work she put in. The only fee I had to pay Liu & Associates outside of anything captured in the settlement/closing was a $350 "Rush Closing Letter Package (3 Business Days)" for the HOA (homeowner association) closing letter and associated documents. The 5-day package cost $250 and the 1-day package cost $375. In our situation and because I wanted to close as fast as possible, Diane recommended the 3-day package. I received a receipt for the HOA closing letter fee from Lydia Lee. Since I travel often and work remote these days, I considered doing a mail-away closing. Liu & Associates told me in order to prevent title fraud, the title company required me (the seller) to sign at an attorney's office or a title company office in my area. Also, the cost to do a mail-away closing would have been $250. I happened to be in Atlanta on the date of the closing so I decided to show up in-person at Liu & Associates' office in Roswell/Alpharetta. One big advantage this office has over others is they are bilingual. The staff writes and speaks fluent English and Chinese Mandarin. I'm not sure if they know Chinese Cantonese, other Chinese dialects, or other languages. I don't speak Chinese and I understood Diane and Warren's English well, whether it was an email, document, phone call, or face-to-face conversation in person. I believe this firm caters to primarily a Chinese and Taiwanese clientele.
