We met some family here for a weekend stay. We are not skiers so we came mostly for the water park. We booked rooms side by side with a joining door, 8 total in our group. The room was pretty much what we expected. The kitchen amenities were nice, bathrooms clean, beds comfortable enough. We enjoyed the water park. (Separate review left on Cascades page) I do think it's a little misleading on the website and when you talk to the desk to schedule. It sounds like the lodge has a pool and hot tub. It does not have a separate one, guests use the one in the water park. So the day of arrival, we thought it would be relaxing to use the hot tub but it was way overcrowded. The hallways are LOUD. I know this is not due to anything the lodge staff are doing but more the other guests. Every night we were there we had kids running up and down the halls yelling late into night. I'm all for kids having fun but not waking up other sleeping littles past midnight. We even were "ding dong ditched" more than once each night. My other somewhat negative is we had a family stay package which included a pizza dinner and hot cocoa. The pizza was better than expected but we got the run around when trying to get the hot cocoa. We were told you had to get it at the Starbucks or the restaurant. The Starbucks was closed when the kids went to get it (8pm) and the restaurant refused, even though that's what the front desk said to do. Overall, if there was more clarity with what you were booking and receiving, someone enforcing some rules in the halls, and maybe longer restaurant and bar hours, this would have been a really great stay. We had a lot of fun. Just a lot of road bumps too. read more

This place is stunning! It really is gorgeous but not worth the price!!!!!! (Only reason I gave the two stars is for how pretty the views and the hotel itself were) We recently stayed there for a youth baseball tournament in cortland. The whole team was going for three nights! The cost was $900.00 (buy two nights get one free!) so of course we said yes because we didn't want our son left out. They also advertised that there is a water park. There sure was a water park, but it is for kids 5-10 years old and cost $44.00 a day and doesn't open until after 4:00 and closes at 7:00..... You could get a weekend pass for $99.00 but like I said the hours were weird. And the water passes are not included in the hotel costs! Maybe throw two passes in with each room- might be a nice jester! Also the website advertises all suites come with a full kitchen!! Lies! False advertising and super illegal- we had the queen suite and it only had two beds. When asked for a fridge we were told it would be an additional $25! What decade are we living in- every hotel has a fridge in the rooms now. The in house kitchen would have saved us some food costs... the sad part is people in our group had the full kitchen rooms and paid the same amount as us. (Of course the hotel said it was third party bs- I mean why not blame someone else instead of trying to fix the problem) Amenity's on site- hmmm there is a pool but you have to go into the waterpark to use it ( so wonky hours and lots of people) Disc golf- but it goes on town land and has a fee of $5.00 a person . Once again nice jester to have that free- I can see renting the discs with a fee but to play something that is normally free everywhere else hmm! There was corn hole boards for you to use and a fire pit. The back patio off the lobby is great but they also use it for different events so there really isn't a sitting area out side for groups. There is spa- prices are steep. Let's talk about the room- beds, pillows, blankets nice and comfy. Bathroom- hmmm sink sprayed all over, toilet kept running and the showers never turned on or off and got super hot- we had to push really hard for the handle of the shower to find a gear to get it on and off- then it would go scalding hot to ice cold and back again- with out even touching the knob. The tub also did not drain. So the question is would I stay here again.... That's a hard one- the place is beautiful but I don't think it is worth the money. So unless it was paid for or there was a wedding at this site- no I would find something that all amenities was included- and rooms had at least a fridge. We did eat at the steakhouse carvers- don't do it! I left a separate review for them. read more

Supposed to do 3 days here honestly I don't think there is enough to do, water park arcade and dining all pretty underwhelming. WARNING!! The Hope Lake Lodge is in the habit of taking your reservation AND your money and then canceling your reservation because they knowing OVERBOOKED!!!! I booked a room on August 30th through hotels.com and received a confirmation of the stay not only from hotels.com but from Hope Lake Lodge. Then on Sept.21st I received an email that my reservation would not be honored. Thinking this had to be a mistake, I called the hotel and was told that my reservation was indeed being cancelled because they were not only fully booked, but OVERBOOKED!! And after claiming they would issue the refund, I contacted both my credit card company and hotels.com and both saw no initiation of a refund. Luckily hotels.com handled the situation and I will actually be getting a full refund. My credit card company told me that even if it did take 10 days to show the refund, they would have been able to see the credit initiated. Hope Lake Lodge clearly never issued my refund. And from a voicemail they left me it was clear that I was not the only one this happened too. The voicemail makes reference to "everybody who was unable to get a room due to overbooking" getting a refund. I just hope everyone else stays on top of this and gets their refund. And to add salt in the wound, just today I received another message from Hope Lake Lodge making sure I have booked my reservation for their Halloween spooky night during "my stay"! We were so excited to visit the lodge. Until we got there. Let's start off with... The water park opens at 4pm!!! I booked it for my kids!!! Are you kidding me? Next, the restaurant was closed 2.5 of our 3.5 day stay. If you don't know-it's the ONLY restaurant on the property which is located in the middle of nowhere! We showed up to the bar to order from the limited menu but they were 5 minutes from shutting down , and the cook had left! It was 8:55pm on vacation. Then, the lady told us they open back up at 10p for a couple hours but guess what? That late night menu has like 6 gross things on it. The next day we booked a spa appointment online. Then, when we showed up, they told us that they didn't know anybody scheduled anything and so they sent everyone home!! To top it off we drive to Cortland. They literally close all the restaurants at 9pm! We barely made it in into a pizza place that closed at 10p for them to tell us that most of the menu is not available because it's in the freezer. They are stuck in 2020 and refuse to change. The only good thing about the trip was some hiking in Ithaca. The city of Skaneateles was so cute but FULL of pride flags. No thank you. It felt gross there. Especially to see a Pride flag in front of an Episcopal Church. I thank God we live in the beautiful state of Florida. This entire area doesn't care about your business. The mountain coaster that's across the street is closed half the week and some of the excursions aren't open either... just ...this was an unbelievably horrible vacation. I stayed here for 2 nights for a family wedding. The price for the suite was quite reasonable and the amenities were what you'd expect. Plenty of towels and washcloths, plus shampoo and body soap in the shower. The shower ran hot/cold which wasn't great and the water pressure was not the best. Not everyone would love the whole woodsy Adirondack vibe but being from Upstate New York I loved it. I loved the wooden vaulted beams in the lobby and to a lesser extent the taxidermy (hey, it's traditional) The bed was super comfortable and I am very picky about my mattress and pillow. I slept well. Some family members had a delayed flight and the manager was very accommodating, extending the midnight cancellation policy. Very professional. The wedding was phenomenal! Stayed for 2 nights while visiting friends and family for the holidays. Room decor is mountain themed and was very clean. we enjoyed the arcade, water park (outdoor pool and hot tub free to guests, upgraded to the full water park one day), and also Carver's steakhouse- great food. They have many thoughtful touches like a kids play space, smore packages for outdoor fires, etc etc. Kids had a blast and can't wait to go back- nothing comparable in the area! read more

This review will be in two parts. First I will talk about the room and then the Cascades WaterPark. Hotel room: The room is decorated nicely and you have all the things you could need. There's a stove, microwave and even dishwasher all in the room. They also provide soap, shampoo and conditioner, dish soap and a dishwasher tab. The fireplace was also a nice added touch. The shower was fine although a bit water jet like. The worst things about the room would have to the be the beds. On both the pull out bed and the regular bed you can feel the springs and we all had a terrible nights sleep. Cascades Water Park: The starlight arcade was nice but most of the games are out of order due to social distancing and they close even more when the waterpark is open due to the waterpark registration taking up part of the arcade. The wave pool was nice and the outdoor pool was as well. The slides where apparently fun but a bit scary so not the best for smaller guest. Overall a pretty alright experience read more

We booked a suite for the weekend. unfortunately the night before our trip we all became sick with the flu. The hotel would not let us move our reservation to another date or work with us at all. Instead we will forfeit $1700. They have a very strict cancellation policy, which is noted, but being a resort geared towards kids you would think they would understand that sudden sicknesses happened and work with customers. We paid $350 per night last weekend for Room 516. it was an upstairs and down 'suite'. The beds were terrible. My back is still killing me. The upstairs bed wasn't great but the Murphy bed was horrid! For $350, I was expecting a visually pleasing room. It was dreary and dark. Trying to be lodge-like but it could use some brightening up. Needs a new couch, new carpeting, and lighter coat of paint, better lighting. On Saturday night, a bad storm went through. When we got back to the lodge, the power was out. Apparently they have no generator. It was Over 90 degrees that day. We were told we could walk up 5 flights (no elevators working) and they were pretty sure that our room key would work! Um, no A/C, no elevator. We left and went back later. Fortunately the electric was back on By 10 pm Very disappointing $750!!! read more

Good location for Ski. Literally across the street. The place needs maintenance and refurbishing to make it better (carpets, elevator, better louging areas for groups). My main piece of feedback is the service quality is inconsistent. Some staff members are friendly (Robyn at Coffee shop and Tammy at restaurant) while others are very dry. This is a vacation place, so please train the staff to make them serve better. Not asking for much, but... adding thank yous, have a nice days, let me see what we can do, etc. Also, charging 65 cents for an extra stick for smores, after spending a week in a suite with multiple meals per day for 5 seems penny foolish. My family and I made an impromptu trip up to Ithaca and were scrambling to find a place to stay due to it being graduation weekend. We were relieved to find the Hope Lake Lodge because all the hotels in Ithaca were fully booked. My boyfriend and I stayed in a room with a kitchenette and King bed for $260 a night, with additional amenities fees. Our room was extremely spacious, comfortable, clean, and cozy. It had an outdoor patio with seating, a kitchenette, a dining table, closet, nook area with a bench and hooks, and a large sofa facing a TV and fireplace. We loved that we were able to relax on the plush couch and chat facing the fireplace at the end of the night. The microwave, fridge, and full length mirror in the bathroom were nice touches as well. The room was a deluxe suite with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and luxurious stay. There were plenty of towels, sheets, extra blankets, dining ware, cups, and even a mini dishwashing liquid for you to use. The arrangement of the room was designed for maximal comfort, down to the soft, yet firm mattresses and plush pillows we slept on. The lodge itself also has great aesthetics. The decor follows a winter cabin/lodge theme and the lobby is impressive with high ceilings, a big fireplace, and mounted animals on the walls. There is a Starbucks right by the lobby where you can get your caffeine fix, and a cool Starbucks machine that makes excellent drinks as well. They also have plenty of family friendly amenities, including a pool, arcade, gym, spa, ski lift, outdoor ropes and ziplining course, and an indoor water park. Keep in mind that each of these incur additional fees for entry separate from the amenities fee. The only one we visited was the sad attempt of an arcade. So many of the machines were shut down due to social distancing (ironic, because they dropped the mask requirement here) so the selection of games was meager. The most exciting games for us were skee ball and basketball. The spa was tempting but the services were expensive. I can definitely see this being a great option for a family vacation! As I try to fall asleep I am awoke by springs in the awful thing this place calls a bed. This is by far the most uncomfortable bed I've ever had to sleep in. To be honest sleeping on the floor is looking pretty great right now. This is night number 2 of this! Ugh! Also my room was never cleaned! Is this because of covid? I was never given notice that my room wouldn't be cleaned. The water park is very small. 1/2 of the items closed for social distance reasons. Don't bother coming here if you have teens. This place is more for the little kids. Food inside of water park was awful, hamburger was gross and reminded me of a school lunch. Also the wait for this so called fast food was crazy long. Was up charged because I didn't want to use the pop machine that everyone was touching and got pop in a bottle! Silly the machine shouldn't be open for public use with covid going on!! If you can't clean rooms because of covid. What is the pop machine doing open for the public to use? It's sad that the bed here is so awful. The room itself is nice, with a nice little kitchen. Please look into getting some new beds. read more

I stayed there from 2/3-2/5, and it was beautiful. I have no problems with the room or accommodations. Room was beautiful, spacious and clean. Pool was closed, due to cold weather, but hot tub was nice. My issue is with guest services. I am from a non-profit organization, and was informed on check-out that 1 of my rooms was charged tax. I have been calling them since 2/6/23 to get a refund. I've been told their computer system is down (for 3 weeks?????), a manager will call me back (no calls). I called again today (2/24/23) and was told manager was in her office and expecting my transferred call. Well, guess what???? yep, no answer. It was her voicemail. This place has been NO help with resolving issues, and you can't get anyone on the phone who can do anything. If this isn't resolved soon, I will have to resort to going to the authorities to get my money. read more

On arrival there were SEVERAL young children. all over the lobby and all the floor lobbies with no supervision. We ran out of paper towels 5 minutes after arriving. There were no extra garbage bags. The fire place was broken. The mattress in the pull out couch was horrible. The communication on the shuttle running on Sunday evening was wrong, we called to see if it was running back to Traxx and they told us yes they were at the lodge and would be over. We waited 15 minutes called back and a separate person told us they stopped running and had no way to come get us. We had to walk in a snowstorm, some us didn't ski so were not dressed for those conditions. I expected a much better experience for the money we spent. read more

Our room was just ok. Dirty rug and most of dishes were cracked and or broken. Definitely hasn't been kept up like it should be. The mattress was one of the worst we have ever slept on! The beds are more comfortable at a motel. We could feel the springs and we both sunk into the middle. Water park is just ok. The water park staff don't seem to care what's going on around them. Only plus side is you can bring drinks into water and hot tub. Will not ever be staying at this outdated, over priced lodge ever again. They don't even offer any sort of breakfast for the absurd amount of money we paid . read more

We got a great deal on this place through Groupon. It's a beautiful facility, my family really took advantage of the outdoor pool/spa which was so fun when it was snowing. The hospitality was wonderful, we asked for a few extra blankets and they brought them up within 10 minutes. If you love winter activities, this is perfect for you since the lift is right across the street. read more

Find somewhere else. We have come every year since 2018; it used to be great. Now it's horrible. Booked a 3 day 2 night trip. Paid for two days of water park passes; specialist never mentioned that the Waterpark was closed on one of the days of my trip. On the day that it is open...its only open from 4pm-7pm. On the 3rd day, we would have to check out by 11 but wait until 4pm just to use the passes. Arcade is absolute trash. Most games don't even work. It's supposed to close at 8pm. When we walked in...worker who was doing absolutely nothing told me she was closing in 25 mins....it was only 7pm. Bed is small is folding up like wallet. Im no tv snob but jesus...we may as well watch TV on our phones with the size of these tvs. Looks like a ghost town here....if i had to guess...its probably because nobody can actually use the Waterpark that they came here for. Maybe they were hit hard by covid but definitely won't be coming back. read more

I am trying my best not to be too critical. We used to love coming here. We have been mini vacationing around the state this summer and compared with other similarly priced hotels in equally remote areas....during Covid shortages....this place is struggling way more than most. Firstly as others have mentioned they have limited hours for pool and water park access and the opening and closing of these amenities (as well as the outdoor activities across the street) are not consistent with their posted hours. This is vital because this is what they are....not a hotel....but Waterpark/outdoor adventure resort. On top of this....even though they are a 20 minute drive to any grocery or restaurants....they have opted to close all food services other than weekends without alerting people when they book. They have a gift shop that offers a super-limited Starbucks menu ....but it has very limited hours and is manned by one employee trying her best to serve breakfast to the entire hotel...one hand crafted sandwich at a time. There is difficulty with morning coffee....a small thing the hotel could remedy by offering free service to keep customers.....the lines at the gift shop run 20-30 min so the hotel has offered vending machine coffee at 2.50 per cup ( albeit Starbucks)...free coffee pods in the rooms were designed for one cup makers ( cost cutting) which resulted in watery coffee. The resort should make some effort at offering free coffee and tea and cocoa given the unannounced closing of the restaurants . It would go a long way in making guests happier with the un disclosed issues of limited amenities There were a number of maintainence issues...small like broken faucets and large ones like potentially lethal room patios and decks that patrons are required not to use. For emergencies...they seemed likewise ill equipped....my child cut herself during the stay at 7pm and the hotel had no band aides or emergency supplies available. Fortunately an employee dug a bunch of band aides from her own purse and helped us out. But what really pissed me off about all this.....was that the resort is busily constructing a huge wedding barn venue at the rear of its property as well as renovating its main restaurant. Given this, I think it's warranted to be especially pissed off about dangerous balconies, no emergency first aid supplies, and no free damn coffee. read more

Cascade indoor Waterpark appears to need better management. Only one operator for two levels of the only slides in the place. When she wasn't at the top level no adults could slide. Each level shuts down when the other is running. Beware you are paying a pretty price for an indoor park that might not be totally up and running. read more

My family booked this place the week after Christmas. I stayed in the hotel and the rest of the family stayed in one of the condos. We all were very disappointed. Each room in the lodge had a kitchen. So walking down the hallway was like staying in a Harlem tenement... the scents of people cooking everything from frozen pizza to curried goat... In our room 2 light bulbs were burnt out. They skipped cleaning our room 2 days and we had to call for fresh towels. At almost 300 a night very disappointing. The pillows were very small... almost half the size of a regular pillow and very stiff... couldn't sleep on them... ended up having to use my coat. The hot water was tough to regulate... either scorching hot or ice cold. The heat couldn't be regulated.... we needed to open the windows to get the room close to comfortable... Everywhere you went was mud... the driveway the parking lot everywhere was just one big mud hole. The bar had 8 stools which were all taken by off duty hotel workers. Very small... no hot drinks... only "good thing" was if you could get the bartender's attention he only charged you for one out of every 4 drinks... The restaurant was small and dismal... I have had better at elementary school cafeterias. The lodge had 2 couches! No where to hang out... The mountain didn't make snow and almost 80% of the mountain was closed... The condo was awful... the refrigerator and hot tub we're broken... the kitchen and bathrooms were filthy... the shades on the windows were broken...there was trash all over... watermelon rinds and trash thrown on the lawn... the bathrooms were flooding from leaking shower walls... The area the resort was in is very depressed economically. People looked down out and desperate... every worker told you some sort of sob story... There is nothing close by. I needed to drive 6 miles to get a pack of cigarettes... This place was a one and done... I wouldn't go back if they paid me to do it! read more

Came for one night with my husband and two kids (2 y.o. And infant). We needed a stop on our long trip home from vacation, so for that it was fine. We had to pay a $10 resort fee when we arrived, but considering all of the amenities they offer I expected that. The rooms are pretty nice, clean although not updated much. The mattresses and linens are a bit worse for wear but I can see that everything is clean and that the staff are doing their best. My main complaint is that I picked this hotel because of the pool. We needed an activity that we could do in the morning to tire our little ones out for the long ride home and I was happy to pay for a nicer hotel because of that- however when we got here they told us the pool will be closed all the next day. Maybe they are short staffed due to covid or something but they should have told me that when I booked! I would have stayed at a much cheaper hotel if I knew there would be no pool available. I called down to the front desk to ask if there was anything else to do with a toddler since the pool is closed (maybe a playground?) she told me that there is a bounce house but I'd have to pay EXTRA to use it. That is really irritating to me. I'm already paying for a hotel with a pool, and paying additional resort fees, the pool is closed and they want me to pay an ADDITIONAL charge to use the bounce house? I'm not in hospitality so maybe I have unrealistic views but it seems to me that that should be comped. All in all pretty dissatisfied with the customer service here, and I would think twice before booking if you have littles because there might not be any available amenities when you stay. EDIT: I spoke with the front desk and she spoke with the manager and they refunded my $10 resort fee. Apparently it is a staffing issue - there are no pools open at all until 4-7 pm each day. read more

I have everything good to say about this hotel. Very family oriented (for 2 adults and a 3 and 6 year old). Everything is in great shape and in a beautiful setting. The room was very nice. We had a loft room (master bedroom upstairs, fold out couch, kitchen, additional bathroom downstairs). We ate in the hotel resto, it was unremarkable, but fine for what we needed. They utlize a waterprood wristband which serves as the door key and allows access to waterpark- great idea! Next time we will probably just bring our own food since the kitchen had everything we would need for cooking. We will definitely visit again. We are also planning to visit with an all adult group to ski. read more

We love this place. The water park is not as big as great wolf or six flags great escape but it does have a big outside pool and a size able fairly deep hot tub that extends from inside to outside. I love the hot tub it is the hottest one I've seen. Also about three feet deep with plenty of seating. The wave pool is nice. My only complaint and the reason it gets four stars not five is the section with the basketball hoops was closed. I was told there was not enough life guards. I feel there was plenty. The one that paces back and forth near the wave pool has a clear view of it. Also there were life guards walking around everywhere. Plus it was on both days it was closed. read more

Hope lake lodge is a really great place to stay near Ithica. Rooms are quite comfortable and clean. Beds felt good. Bathroom: no gross factor. Having a kitchen in the room was a plus for our family with 3 kids. Accommodations gets 5*****. Good service Pool/waterpark: The lifeguards are definitely attentive to the water. The slides were fun. Some were fast. Pool and hot tub are both indoors and outside! The "con" would be that sometimes they run out of towels. Also, some of the features in the "water-tower" station didn't work. Pool gets 4****. This place is best for a family with kids, even with tiny ones. Not ideal for a bachelor's party. read more

Staff incl front desk VERY friendly. Liked the Starbucks in Lobby. Close to finger lakes area. Close to other areas to go things like Ithaca & Cornell as well as wine tasting. Beach & lake Area very nice. Paddle boats were fun! Pool too crowded for my comfort with COVID. Also, a wedding on the weekend with guests getting on elevators with no masks. Had to call front desk at least 2 nights out of 8 for noise. Mattresses need to be replaced. Very nice lodge if owner did some sprucing up. Grill was sub par. Invest in a few gas grills or a charcoal one that isn't about to fall over. Overall 3 stars. read more

We stayed here for 2 nights and I have never been more disappointed. The mattresses were horrible, we had a room right next to the door where hotel guest enter and leave, listening to it slam 24hrs. The Acorn Grill has no clean plates at the buffet, the food was out and the wait staff couldn't keep up with customers. I will never stay here again! Hot tub was cold ! read more

I wish I could give this place 5 stars.... but it is impossible. First of all, all I hear around town is how grossly mis-managed the hotel and water park complex are and unfortunately, it is true. When you call up the main # rarely do you ever reach a human being. You get routed all over the place and often reach someone in a crazy area like maintenance who has no idea how to direct you. If you reach a human at the front desk they immediately ask you for your name which is off-putting at best. Oh, and if you listen to their hold message it says something about being a Trip Advisor top pick in 2012! It happens to be 2019 so if that is the best you've got it is better leaving that off the message! What has been happening in the ensuing 7 years? We have been to Cascades Water Park a few times now and that is why we are usually calling for updated information. This is another challenge; their identity crisis. They are listed as Hope Lake Lodge and Waterpark and Cascades. Which is it? This is a marketing 101 fail. I happened to catch their ad in the local paper while I was there and it cannot be read! The message is completely off and the colors are all wrong so you cannot read the days and times that they are open. We did go to the water park, which my kids usually enjoy this past weekend and much to our surprise, on a lovely, warm, sunny day, the OUTDOOR pool was heated to at least 90 degrees! It was disgusting and really unsafe, not to mention what a waste of money heating the outdoor pool to that level. It was packed with kids running all over the deck--accidents waiting to happen--and very chaotic. The indoor water park was pretty well managed that day but I never heard one guard caution anyone about running and kids were climbing up the slide steps in groups in a very dangerous manner. The overall tone here feels like the management has given up, sold out. It is akin to running a place with a skeleton staff. It was definitely better in the past. It is also never a good idea to skimp on marketing; being on groupon forever sends a really bad message. I remain hopeful, as the area really needs a resort like this to survive and thrive but right now it just seems like corners are cut the guest experience is compromised. read more

My family of 5 and a family of 3 decided to book a suite for a night for a mini vacation. It is only about a 2 hour drive from Rochester. Pros: Our suite was plenty big for 8 of us. We had a great balcony, pretty views, clean rooms and bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen, friendly staff, Starbucks on site, Spa, Gym, restaurant, water park. I thought they had some great amenities. You really didn't need to leave the hotel. We ventured across the street to the Adventure Center where we went on the Mountain Coaster - very cool, very fun. Would love to do that again. My kids loved it! We didn't hear any kids running up and down the halls all night so that was pretty great. They did keep running out of towels at the park but we had brought our own and they were really good about trying to stay on top of rotating the towels. Cons: A lifeguard wasn't paying attention and my daughter almost drowned. I did speak with her regarding the incident and even though my daughter was only about 5 feet from the lifeguard she claims she didn't see her. I witnessed the same lifeguard staring off into space while kids were shooting out the water slides. I was not impressed with this particular girl. She clearly didn't care to pay too much attention to what she was supposed to. The beds were very uncomfortable; all 4 adults in the morning were complaining about not getting a great nights sleep due to the pillows and beds. The outdoor pool could use a cleaning, there were gobs of hair that would attack your leg when you least expected it. It was gross. The Water Park itself is good for younger kids. Our kids are 6, 3, and 1 and they had a blast. I would not bring older teenagers here. Overall we all had a good time, we would consider coming back in the future for a weekend. read more

This was our first stay at Hope Lake Lodge. I made reservations in April for an overnight in August. The room we had was on the second floor but actually on ground level next to an exit door and the indoor water park. The noise from the door opening and closing until at least 1:00 A.M. was enough to drive a person out of their mind, and our view was of the parking lot. Not to mention there was a fight in the hallway. I complained right away to the manager who gave me a spiel about the place being booked 100%. I asked if we could have another room with a balcony and he said he would see what he could do which was actually nothing. In the morning when we checked out, I was asked about our stay. I told the clerk it was the worst room in the hotel, and the reasons why it was so disappointing. I asked if they could reduce the bill. All she said was, "would you like your receipt? They don't seem to care about keeping a customer. Needless to say, we will never go back. read more

This place is terrible. The whole lodge is infested with bed bugs, the water park has huge cockroaches, nobody at front desk knows what they are doing, none of the house keepers properly clean the rooms (no proper training either), the hotel manager Brian is a complete idiot! He has no idea what he's doing and was only hired because of the people he knows. Did I mention that most of the house keepers barely change the bed sheets they just pull the wrinkles out so they look new and saves them time. Everything is way overpriced.
