My daughter has been going to the club since she was 6. She's now 15 and involved in everything…read more Since she was little, the staff and even the older club kids have been mentors and role models to her. The club provides 40 hours of intentional, educational programming every week and the kids can drop in or out as they like. That can mean that the front desk doesn't know exactly where she is at any one moment, but she is ALWAYS in a supervised program and always safe. Safety is the number one concern of all staff. As I know from experience, parents with a concern are encouraged to talk to staff and admin personnel. The executive director is always willing to sit down with anyone to answer questions or concerns. The club is a great place where kids learn to be who they want to be. My daughter was on the dance team for years, she learned to swim at the club, and now she's president of a leadership club and just helped organize a successful college and career fair. She used to be super-shy and would never have taken on such a responsible position if it hadn't been for everyone at the club encouraging her to get involved through the years. I couldn't be happier with the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester.

Over the past year or so we required an eclectic bunch of pieces of furniture for our home from here. Each time we go into the shop, there's always new inventory. We've been very pleased with the quality of pieces and prices at which they are offered. We found that Saturday mornings tend to be a great day to peruse the shop. Bringing a cup of coffee and looking around for pieces we need whether those are chairs, mirrors, desks etc had become one of our favorite weekend activities. Recently, we also learned they sell refurbished paint for super cheap! We use this to paint the interior of our garage, but you're in the whole place new. If you need a few pieces of furniture and are balling on a budget, definitely check out the great pieces and people at Habitat for hHmanity here in Worcester.

So basically a reseller is paying off a delivery driver to get first dibs, and all of it is seemingly a-ok with the store management, I was told "because he's our best driver". This is utter nonsense and complete disservice to the organization and the community it serves, only serving to benefit one specific dealer who's paying off a guy. Shame on habitat for humanity and this restore for allowing this corrupt behavior. I emailed upper management about this issue and await a reply.

I shook that off and worked at an adult daycare ctr for over a year but they only gave nurses 1 or 2 shifts a week so had to move on on good terms. Set up interview, drove 20 miles and she didn't show up for the interview. Near EVERY SH facility near here is asking for nurses and support staff....and now I know why Update Dec 24 Actually did meet someone for the interview and was pretty much hired "on the spot" Was eager to start so took my work physical the next day, signed all the paperwork and attempted to get my fingerprinting done and low and behold, I got sent an ID number one NEEDS to register to get it done thats provided by DDS (Dept. of Social Services) and they sent me another applicants number so that number didn't match the DOB associated with the candidate and now I am unable to go any further in the process. This company strikes me as VERY unprofessional and I am in the process of retracting my job acceptance

Another annoying occurrence is that it takes weeks/if not months for something to be fixed (example the sensors in the sauna) There is a group of older gentlemen who continuously talk about the saunas/stream baths in their original country of origin. They continuously mess around with the heat sensors at the YMCA claiming the sauna here isn't "hot enough" as it is in their country of origin. They in turn mess up the sauna and put it out of commission for weeks/if not months.
