TW - ABUSE AND NEGLIGENCE…read more DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILD IN LITTLE ROCKSTARS DAYCARE My kids had been going to little rockstar for about a year. In the beginning it was great, my kids loved going. In the beginning my son was there full time, up until this past august when he went to pre k then once he was in pre k they would pick them both up after school and they were there for an hour before we'd pick up. My son isn't the easiest to deal with, he was tested at his school and is now considered special needs. But he bonded so well with one of the teachers. I was very happy about that, she seemed to love what she did and that's very important to these kiddos. They fired a handful of teachers, one being the one that was best with my son, and a drastic amount of kids left after that. This is when things went down hill, I started looking for a new daycare for my children. The new teachers never introduced themselves and I still don't know who any of them are. Everyday when I'd pick my kids up I was told that something was wrong with my son mentally, because the teacher was "reading a psychology book" and she felt educated enough to label my son as whatever her book said. Between the few weeks of finding a new daycare, they called me twice on false accusations that my son did, and said they needed to kick him out. (my daughter confirmed this didn't happen) so I pulled my son out. After my son left, my daughter told me she was uncomfortable being there without him because he would stick up for her, which makes a lot of sense why he was getting in trouble so much, because he was defending his sister. From that day forward, my daughter was being bullied DAILY by children old enough to know better. She told me she would tell the teachers and nothing was ever done. There was one instance where a girl (no longer attending) that was being picked up by a highschool, physically assaulted my daughter and MY DAUGHTER was told to stop being a crybaby.... My daughter is 6... 2 days ago I picked her up and heard 2 pre teen siblings that she's been constantly complaining about bullying her. Unsure why kids that old are allowed in the same room as small children if they aren't being watched but I guess that's how they've gotten away with running their business. When I pick my daughter up there is 2-3 teachers to 5 remaining kids, there is no reason for an adult not to intervene. Months ago, I was "notified" that someone filed a complaint (which DID happen and is on yelp from 3 months ago) about negligence on their part and it was dismissed, how? I have no idea. Everything my children went through SCREAMS negligence. Once I found a new daycare, my daughter started telling me even more horrific things about this place. How a teacher would FLICK HER when my daughter would do something to irritate her. I am not the type to drag a company through the mud but enough is enough. I wish I hadn't found out everything after they'd been there for this long. As a parent, we are the only advocates for our children. Had my kids been non-verbal I can't imagine what else they could have done to them. Do not enroll your kids here. They do not care for your child's well being, they see your kids and see dollar signs.

My daughter was not given the adequate care that daycares should be giving to babies. There were several times staff members would act clueless when I would bring up concerns that's definitely got pushed under the rug. I picked my daughter up one time and her ear was bleeding. Not once did the daycare notify me of this. My final breaking point was when my daughter developed the worst diaper rash I have ever seen in my life!!!!! She never had one before and apparently there was a teacher change in her room. My daughter was literally sitting in dirty diapers for prolonged periods of time here. This is truly unacceptable. Furthermore, staff members tried to lie on me and say she never had supplies which is bs. I packed plenty of diapers,clothes, etc for my daughter. This place should be shut down. I feel bad that I put my daughter here. I have worked in daycares in my past and I know how children should be treated. This is not the way. Please take head to this review.

They are full of excuses no matter what you bring to the assistant director and or directors attention. They are more worried about their enrollment. I was fully open and honest about my daughter's diagnosis and they stressed to me not to worry and her needs to be accommodated. You have to jump through so much for just get basic accommodations for your child, even after being open and honest about your child's diagnosis. You have to deal with horrible food options for your children. Example: breakfast being hostess danishes and constant fried items for lunch. Nothing is fresh. To add on top of this, you have to worry about if teachers are even present in the classroom with your children. This occurred twice, that I am aware of. Who knows if there were more times my daughter and other children were left on attended. Once specific time I walked in with no teacher in the classroom and my daughter, along with other children were standing on top of a table. On a separate occasion, same teacher, was not present. She later came into the room after a minute of me standing there looking for a teacher. Finally, the teacher came back. I brought this up to the director and assistant and they viewed video footage and second she was gone from the classroom for a few seconds. Meanwhile, I was in the classroom looking for the teacher for at least a minute. They called me that evening after the incident and said they are letting the teacher go as this is the second time this has happened, the next day the same teacher is there. Not that I wanted anyone to lose their job, but how are you going to continue to let that happen? They also can't get their stories straight. An incident occurred and my daughter had a horrible scratch on her face. I got three different stories. I refused to sign the incident form until I got the truth. After viewing the tape, they couldn't really tell due to the spot she was standing was out of view of camera. I then brought up the fact they need another camera to fill the void, it still hasn't been done. I even emailed the owner to no avail there is still no camera. My daughter would come home with many bites marks from children biting her. At least 5 incidents. I brought this up to everyone's attention and how unacceptable this is and how they need to take action, nothing was done. I've had enough excuses from the whole staff. Don't waste your time and go somewhere else! My daughter was at the facility for less than a year and all of this occurred on there watch. To make it worse, on her last day, I picked her up with a huge scratch on her face. No incident report was written so I don't know how she got it.

The director Ms. Jean is great, she really cares about how your kids are doing and how well they are adjusting. My son has autism and my daughter has ADHD and they are never made to feel bad about meltdowns or behavior concerns, unlike other daycares we have been too. It's a bit pricier than the daycare they went to previously but it's well worth it in my opinion. I will keep my kids here as long as possible.

The teachers care about the kids, they teach them just like they would in public pre-k, the coolest giant backyard with awesome stuff for the kiddos and the inside has been completely remodeled. The owner, Mr. Robert, is the most amazing person you will ever meet. He's a great role model, my kids love him and he even helped me with my teenager when he was going through pre-teen stuff a couple of years ago. I can keep going on about how great this place is. I don't have anything negative to say as any small issues that may have occurred (kid's jackets ended up in another kid's backpack or simple things like that) were fixed immediately. They keep my kids and the other kids safe so I feel blessed for that. My kid's last experience at their first daycare when they were just babies was heartbreaking. My son who was one hears old at the time was being bitten by numerous kids every day. Nothing was being done to correct this so I had to involve the director. Things were fixed after she stepped in but all of the teachers started being rude to me, called me a SNITCH (for protecting my child's health and safety, I don't think so!), strayed treating my kids differently and my kids started crying every day I would drop them off. I had to take them out and was nervous about my kids starting at a new daycare because of our bad experience. Discovery was aware of what happened and they helped ease all of our worries. Years later my kids beg me to go here all the time!

The teachers are wonderful and thoughtful of each person who comes in. Each time I had a request they followed through with it. I recommend this establishment to any new mom (or parents). Having my son somewhere, not home and being loved is priceless. They have an air machine to help with germs in the infant rooms. Being that my son was in the NICU for his lungs, this helped me be comfortable with how much they care about their students.

He still has a lot of growing to do as being on the spectrum has its moments but he is very smart and willingness to learn. They are patient with him and understanding when it comes to being neurodivergent. The care they give to all their students is outstanding. I'm a mother who calls a lot checking in how his day is going and they always take the time out to assure me he is doing good or it's just one of his days.
