I was really hungry, and I found this place while passing through on a road trip. Great service, great beer, regular food. OK, I'm not saying the food was baaaad in any way, but it's pretty average for a beer and burger joint. Surprisingly, the best thing we had was the coconut shrimp! My husband liked the loaded quesadilla. The garlic fries were average, though it's a little sad that the garlic bits kinda just fall off the fry as you pick them up, even for it being happy hour it seemed expensive for what you get. The tacos were a bit salty, but pretty appetizing. I ate all three, so... Justin C. was our server, he gets an A. He read my mind about which sauces to bring to go with the semi-garlicky fries. He communicated well with us and his co-workers, helped us order right at happy hour, and was lightening fast at bringing our food and drinks. I think we waited less than 7 minutes for food. Stellar. The beer was exceptional, as they serve all their beer at 34 degrees and had a good variety of types that come out in a frosty glass. I started going to Hop Jacks when they first opened. As I understand, due to some copyright name ownership, they had to change their name to Hops and Drops. It didn't change anything else. I just ordered a steak salad and was delivered by doordash. It was terrible. My steak was just a hamburger broken up on iceberg lettuce and romaine. It was supposed to be mixed greens. When I called the restaurant the woman on the phone argued with me that the meat could not have been hamburger. She just would not believe me. So frustrating and I would never eat there again. I've visited Hop Jack's on three separate occasions and I haven't been disappointed. The alcoholic drinks are great and the menu has enough variety to please a wide range of eaters. I would order everything I ate and drank again. Let's start with my most recent order: Mozzarella Sticks - Is there any question as to why I wouldn't choose mozzarella sticks? When I ordered these they had to check to see if they hadn't run out (we ate around 6:30 on a Saturday) and they came back to tell me that they just made a new batch. You can tell when they are homemade and not frozen, and these were definitely homemade. The cheese was gooey and soft, and the breading was light and crispy, but not dry and crunchy. Big Tony's BBQ Mac - This mac and cheese was awesome! It consisted of penne noodles, bbq sauce, cheese sauce, caramelized onions, bacon, mozzarella, parmesan, and topped with their carnitas. This was served with a side of garlic pita bread. The mixture of ingredients tasted great and even though it was rich, it was nice to not just have one flavor all the way through. The carnitas was tender and juicy as well. This is my second time ordering this and I would order it again! Drinks: The Sour Patch was my favorite, but I also tried the blackberry Long Island Iced Tea, mango drop, and raspberry drop. The fresh fruit was nice and all the drinks but the Long Island was served in the icicle cone. I enjoyed the icicle cone because it kept my drink cold the whole time. I took a star off because it was on the pricier side. For one appetizer, two meals, and four drinks it cost 96.50, but the quality of food was there so I will be back. read more

First off we were greeted pretty fast and friendly. We got sat by the gentleman did not catch his name because no one was wearing a name tags. At first our server came and got our drink orders. She asked if we wanted any appetizers and started to name off a few. My wife asked our daughter if she wanted to share mozzarella sticks my daughter was like yeah. Then the waitress was like that is one thing we are out of and that's why I didn't suggest it. (Well I have been an assistant manager and a server that's the first thing I would tell my customers if we were out of something). So we settled on the deep fried cauliflower bites. Then we ordered our food which came out pretty fast after that our server only came and checked on us once she only had three tables and stood at the one for at least five minutes my wife raised her hand to get her attention to no avail so we got up and went to the front to pay and then we left I didn't get our servers name until I looked at the receipt and her name is Tiffany. We've been checking out restaurants in the area since we've moved back to the Tri-Cities and we've eaten here twice so far. The menu has so many items to select from and everything we've tasted so far has been cooked and seasoned perfectly. A must try is the smoked pork rib tips. My husband let me taste his and they were divine. We've tried the rib tips, the triple threat chicken sandwich, the street tacos and the black & bleu burger so far and all of them were great (the chicken sandwich is messy though!) The service is friendly and everyone is quick and efficient. One thing that I especially appreciate about this restaurant is that they are sincerely keeping their diners' health and safety at the forefront. The mask rules are clearing highlighted upon entry and the servers also make it a point to remind customers that while masks can be removed while seated they *must* be worn when walking anywhere in the restaurant. Jalapeño burger wrapped in lettuce was delicious! Had them cook it medium rare and it turned out perfect! Tons of bacon and jalapeños. Loved it! Not a fan of the queso as it has meat in it and tasted like taco seasoning. Bone-in Wings were good.Buffalo sauce was incredibly salty, would get a different sauce next time. Here for a couple days and stayed in a hotel close by. All in all good place to stop in and eat. An eatery, local, people seemed to be enjoying their food around us. Bright, open, super friendly. The menu looked pretty good. I had the veggie burger and it was pretty good! Those can go tow ways. good. or bad. Rarely in between. So this would be like a 3 1/2 stars ish. Im sure there were better things on the menu but we were chatting and trying to eat a little healthier that day. ha. FOOD - Great for what we had. i would order the veggie burger again. I have to be honest and say I had only been to Hops and Drops a few times prior to Covid-19. I always liked the food and drinks. It was decent American food. But I have to say I am SO impressed with their take-out experience. The website makes ordering SO easy (even for very picky and specific orders...ahem...children). The food has always been ready on time, packaged extremely well and still tastes amazing when we get home. I can't say that for many American take-out places. We had a lot of fun at this joint! It is super understated from the exterior, especially next to The Rock pizza place, but it is awesome! From the name, the friendly and fun staff, to the cool beers, it was a great time! Trust me, we hit a lot of Taphouses all over the PNW, and this place was fun. It's got a pseudo sports pub vibe, but the fixtures and motif of the interior is super cool and fun! Food was good, but be aware, soup comes in smaller bowls. Last three times we've been we've had awful service. I've been waiting inside for my food for a little over an hour now. Absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention having not one but two raw hamburgers the last time we were here. We used to LOVE this place & now it's just ridiculous in here. I've eaten here a few times but the last meal was pretty bad. We got fish tacos and buffalo wings. The fish tacos were truly awful. One of the fish pieces had a piece of the tough brown meat along the fish' backbone, which I spit out. I've had a couple of chicken items there where it seems like it's pressed chicken. I ordered two drinks which were mostly juice with no alcohol. If you want to eat here, stick with the burgers as those are really good. read more

We had such a great meal here. My mom, daughter and I came in for some girl time and it was really busy and yet we received really great service. Our food came and it was perfectly cooked, hot and delicious. I had the Ashley burger which was French dip sandwich meets burger! Soo good! My daughter had the chicken fingers and fries and my mom has the Swiss mushroom burger. She wasn't planning on eating the whole thing but couldn't stop. I also love their bottomless lemonades. Huckleberry is my favorite but I also tried the pineapple lemonade for my refill and it was delish too. We will definitely be back here after our experience. read more
