I have been here a couple times in a group setting with friends. The cocktails are very creative and delicious and I feel like that's why I have given Hops N Drops a couple more chances. Although, every single time my boyfriend and I have been here we have not been impressed by the food. Or portion sizes compared to price... Visited Hops n Drops today for lunch right as they opened. I was greeted by their staff with a double door entry to begin and the experience only improved from there. We were seated immediately and our drink orders were taken. I had heard only fantastic things about their lemonades but was nervous to try one and reassured that if I did not, it would be taken off the bill. There was no need! We started with appetizers of mozzarella sticks and potato chip nachos with cheddar. Our appetizers were brought out in just a few minutes and fresh made. I've had several types of mozzarella sticks and these were clearly the freshest I'd ever had. I also had their macaroni and cheese. Again! Delicious! Fresh, homemade macaroni and cheese that was delicious. There was so much food that I brought half of it home to enjoy again! This is a unique space. There is not a bad seat in the restaurant. Lots of light. Interesting angles. Good views. The food was good. I had the california turkey sandwich. The nine grain bread was good but not great. It had plenty of turkey and good avocado. Bacon was cooked well (done but not burned). I'd have it again. The side salad was a little strange. It is a great point to gather for Brunch or lunch. The service is very nice, the food is also very good. They understand food allergies and try to have educated recommendations (also a Gluten Free menu). BEST happy hour in town!! My boyfriend and i frequently dine here and love it. If you enjoy spicy their Buffalo sauce is AMAZING! Literally every Buffalo dish, wings, wrap, Mac and cheese... just amazing. The BBQ chicken salad is to die for as well!! Refreshing drinks from lemonades to lemon drops! I have been here twice that I can remember. Both times myself and the people I have gone with have had a bad experience. The first time, I felt so sick I napped for four hours woke up, and still felt sick. Thinking this was maybe a coincidence, I went back today. My boyfriend actually threw up everything he ate at hops and drops prior to feeling fine today. Specifically, a Caesar salad that when I took a few bites noticed it was warmer than room temperature. My other friend and I had the chicken strips and both felt sick for hours afterwards. Definitely will not be eating here again. Y'ALL WANT TO READ THIS REVIEW As we scored a parking spot front and center of the restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised that a hostess was already holding open the HopJacks door, greeting us with a smile and wholesome conversation. We asked for a booth and got seated promptly on a busy Saturday night. The hostess and manager worked to turn one of the televisions by our table, to the NBA finals game as soon as we politely asked. Throughout our meal I also noticed how quick and efficient the staff was at bussing tables in a timely manner and not letting them sit. We were greeted within 3-5 minutes of being seated and Marco was just lovely. We ordered waters and there was no pushy ness to up-sell other drinks, which I appreciate. Marco was able to help me with my delicious food and figure out the best way to get what I want for the best price. I ended up ordering a Guacamole Bacon Burger and added on caramelized onions, and mushrooms for a extra few dollars. As well as exchanging the guacamole for fresh avocado. Oh my gawddd that was the BEST burger I have ever had....hands down. Without hesitation. The patty had to have been hand made that day, not frozen like at most burger joints. Which is why I love hop jacks initially. Marco again, kept checking in on us to make sure everything tasted good. But obviously by the smile on our faces full of food, we didn't need to respond. It was about $13-15 and so worth it. Drinks were always full as well as our tummies. This is probably one of my favorite spots in town for family dining. Can't go wrong with their burgers, tots, or salads. I'm not sure what their special ingredient is in their ranch dressing but I'm pretty sure I could drink it lol. The restaurant itself is pretty typical of a chain styled type of restaurant. I had a flavored Long Island and wow I was feeling it ! This drink tastes like juice it's so yummy and flavorful that I didn't even realize it had alcohol in it . They use a flavored vodka so you are getting your moneys worth so don't think just because it tastes sweet that it's not good or has too much syrup which it does not!!! It was happy hour which was an awesome deal ! So I always have to try the house margarita, that's like a tester for me and wow !!! This too was amazing!
