My fiancé surprised me with a date night at Hopscotch this weekend and it was the perfect start to our San Antonio weekend. We arrived at our designated ticket time and walked in through the gift shop. There a staff member showed us to the ticket check in desk. After checking in we stopped at the bar for a little drink to accommodate our interactive gallery. We went with the seasonal adult capri sun and the year round capri sun. The bartender was very friendly and made delicious drinks. Upon arrival I was a little nervous about the experience as some have noted that there aren't many rooms to explore and that it didn't take long for them to go through the gallery. After we finished we can say with confidence that it's worth it. We spend about 55min- 1 hour within the gallery. The staff was friendly, the rooms were fun and interactive, and overall we were really pleased with the atmosphere. read more

This was a really cool interactive exhibit. It was all fun and games til we got to the Secret room. A word of caution to empaths : that room is HEAVY. I pick up the phone and tears started welling in my eyes. The other rooms were very fun though! One of my favorites was the happiness room and the VRdancing room. Definitely worth the visit if visiting the area. Really would have liked to pick up some swag but I can't justify $180 on a hoodie. We ended up getting beanie was $30+ (still too expensive imo) and a magnet well priced at $8. Don't leave your wallet in the car if you plan to have a drink. They WILL card you. PS - They validate the first two hours if you park in the garage next door. Parking will come out to $5 but if you park in the public surface lot it's $15 for 2 hrs. read more

Recommend: No. I checked out Hopscotch with a group of people. There are several different rooms and exhibits to walk through. Some were really cool, while others I probably could have skipped. I do think it helps going with friends because it makes the experience more fun and interactive. My favorite was the secret room where you pick up phones and listen to anonymous secrets from other people. That one was pretty unique. I also liked the room with all the changing lights--it looked really cool and was fun to walk through. There's also an area filled with balls that reminded me a bit of Chuck E. Cheese, and another section that's basically a maze made out of clear plexiglass panels. When you first walk in there's a bar, and they also have a gift shop. The bar was really backed up as a think there was only one bartender but she was very friendly. The entry process was easy since I bought my tickets online. Overall, if you go by yourself you could probably get through everything in about 35-40 minutes. It was a fun outing with a group, but personally I'd probably save my money and try something else next time. read more

I love interactive, weirdo museums, so this was fun! Good for adults and kids! Took us about 2 hours walking at a normal pace to get through the entire thing. Highly recommend for something to do in downtown San Antonio. Make sure to make your reservation online in advance! I was able to come and try out this incredible in immersive art lounge, and bar When you first come in, they do have their own dedicated parking area. It is about $15 for only two hours I believe and if you go down to blocks, it'll be five dollars for 12 hours so I would recommend doing that instead. The lounge itself was incredibly beautiful super spacious inside. It's kind of deceptive how big it is gonna be as soon as you come in you can purchase tickets to go see the art or you could relax in the lounge and bar area. They also allow you to take your drinks to the art so I think that's really nice. There were a lot of rooms to try out and we honestly got each room to ourselves each time. Everyone was really courteous to let you have your space in the rooms. Would love to visit here again that ball pit was insane read more

Hopscotch is a cute little interactive museum located in downtown San Antonio just off of Travis Park. I was already in the area so did not need parking but recall seeing reduced rate / partnership parking options nearby for Hopscotch. You check in right when you enter, and although we had to reserve a time slot when booking, we were about 10 minutes late and it didn't seem like a big issue. The museum is self-service so there's no mandatory time slot adherence and I think the time booking is to help the staff manage demand. At least on a Saturday evening, the museum did not seem close to capacity or uncomfortable in any way. There's also a full bar right when you walk in and you can take the drinks with you as explore the museum. Most of the exhibits are downstairs and range from lighthearted and playful to some pretty (mentally) intense exhibits (secrets room?!). Everything was very accessible so we were able to enjoy every exhibit in the museum. In total we spent just under an hour and think we took a pretty leisurely pace through every piece. I don't really know if this experience warrants coming back more than once unless they significantly change the exhibits on a regular basis, but definitely a ton of fun for a family or date night. Booked on Viator and prices seemed very reasonable ($25 pp) read more

My husband and I had a blast!!! Even watching the other families in there, the kids were having a great time. I appreciate that they give you an appointed time to go in. So it's not overly crowded. You do have to make a reservation, and sign waivers. But it's definitely worth going for the price you pay. It had so many different rooms with different experiences. I heard about this place through Instagram. I could see its part of the growing trend of interactive art spots around the country. I bought a ticket and experienced it. While it was fun and curious I thought it was pretty small. I experienced the whole thing at a slow place in less than an hour and a half. This is the 2nd time we have visited Hopscotch and I still can't believe how amazing it was. We took our 19yr old for the 1st time and she loved it. It was definitely interactive and it wasn't crowded at all. My favorite was the Unknown Atmosphere and I can't wait to see what they change up next time. The employees were very helpful and friendly. Cute art installations! But I think it's good for just one visit. They have things to see upstairs and downstairs. I wish they were more clear about where they want you to start looking as all the groups are supposed to move in one direction. My boyfriend and I accidentally went downstairs first because we saw an arrow but we were told by staff to go up as that part was the last section. Besides the hopscotch on the floor, I don't think the art installations have a clear theme to hopscotch. I like the plastic bag cave room the best! It looks really cool. Be sure to buy tickets in advance as they typically sell out. If you park in the garage, they validate at the gift shop so you pay $7 for a 3 hour stay. read more

Hopscotch is great. In comparison to a place like Wonderspaces, I'd say Hopscotch exhibits are on the whole a bit more immersive and admit more interaction. Upon entering Hopscotch, you'll be placed into the nifty, well-lit foyer where you can check-in and where the bar area sits. The staff encourage you to grab a drink, one which you can carry with you throughout the exhibits. Whether you've decided to quench your thirst with a beverage or not, you'll head downstairs. There are plenty of exhibits: an illuminated ball pit, several illusions, rooms full of light, audio exhibits, and also a several where you can be the artist, digitally rendered. The hanging lights one is especially fun, since it is enclosed behind blackout curtains. That one, and the last exhibit were a blast. For the drink, I obtained a Starlit Friends, which had a nice jelly bean finish. Would I consider coming back in the future? Absolutely. read more

Hopscotch Art Immersive was an incredible experience. I wish they have this in my city, and they change exhibits from time to time. They curate local and international artists to make this happen. You can either get your tickets online or onsite, with several options to go in the evening. It's about 5 minutes by walk away from the Riverwalk and you'll notice a glass structure with a bar of a couple fun drink options you can enjoy. The check-in process was really easy. I bought my ticket online, so I just showed them the ticket and went inside. I think the pricing is a bit more expensive than what it is worth as I had anticipated more exhibits. My favorite art display was the rabbit hole, which is a glass structure of a rabbit jumping down. It's the first thing you see in this exhibit. Flash is not allowed inside. The maze was pretty cool. I think the crystal cave was a bit of a letdown as it was an illusion from plastic bags. Everything else looked amazing though, and is great to go with a group of friends. Their gift shop had fun items and postcards you can buy when you finish the exhibit. If you have the chance, try out their drinks. I had the crystal unicorn rainbow one. It was so sour and so good. It was refreshing after that tipsy tirvy of an exhibit. What topped it off the most was the kind and welcoming nature of the people here. If they had it in San Francisco, I would definitely go again. read more

Maybe i would've have more fun here if my standards weren't so high from the other place but this one only had a couple decent rooms at best? It could be much better than it is... it is sufficient for whatever is offered in San Antonio. They could improve it in so many ways specially with the price! This was our first experience with an immersive/ interactive art exhibit and it impressed my wife and I. My favorite part was the Quantum Trampoline, a large interactive video projection you can influence by moving around in the trampoline area. Another was 11,000 bulbs set to flash to music and you can wander through it, the music in all the exhibits was amazing. I'll have to look for something similar closer to home and drag our grandkids through it when they get a little older. read more

They also have food in the main lobby and there's a great bar there as well. The service and selection are really good. And for the price we paid it was well worth it. This was a really cool place to go, especially for a Sunday Funday spent out of the heat and indoors :) ! I specifically chose the 10 am slot so I could get in before the majority of the crowd would come. It only took me an hour to get through everything because I came early. It definitely helped to come early to take photos and enjoy the art installations before an influx of people came. But everyone was very respectful of eachother, and both the employees and other guests were very friendly and offered to take photos :D ! Guests are asked to respect and not to touch the carefully set up art installations. Some displays had very funky and quirky music, whereas others were more toned down. My favorite was the Quantum Trampoline :D ! I loved running around and jumping on what seemed like a huge jumping playground just for me :) ! Haha :D ! A super nice employee took photos and videos for me since I came solo :) ! I purchased my ticket through Groupon, which saved a few dollars. But overall, the general ticket prices through the Hopscotch website itself are pretty reasonable. For adults, it was about $27 per person. After the Quantum Trampoline section, you exit through a gift shop and into a lounge. I ordered a non-alcoholic Celestial Unicorn drink, and it was very refreshing ;) ! However, they also have cocktails and alcoholic beverages for guests who would like those instead ;) ! I would highly recommend this for singles, couples and families :D ! There is a little something for everyone :) ! Be sure to wear socks since you'll need to wear these for art installations like the Quantum Trampoline and the color-changing balls :) ! You'll have to remove your shoes, but you'll still need to wear your socks to participate in these activities :) ! read more
