When the Medicare GLP-1 bridge program started I hoped to participate but that didn't work out. I could have then been covered by Part D but the doctor (NP) would have had to work with me. Their website promises "compassionate care." But if the doctor cutting into you and the nurse giving you meds can't have a respectful attitude at work towards minorities and the pain they experience- even if they can't relate to it-that's not compassion. Even if they've never experienced heart disease, they should have compassion for the daily pain of having heart disease. It's no different for the pain experienced by people of color.
