Point being, I sat for 4 hours, received no medical care during that time, and was charged an insane amount of money for it. The billing team was rude, refusing to give me a proper itemized bill AND telling me that it "wasn't that bad" for an ER bill, so I should just pay it. And when I was finally directed to the patient experience team, I was met with a complete lack of empathy or understanding from people who refused to listen to me. Despite placing a grievance on the basis of NO CARE, a bill adjustment was refused because "the care received was appropriate". So, this hospital finds it appropriate to not give their patients any real care, charge them for it, then have their billing staff belittle them for struggling financially like many Americans are right now.
