She asked us some questions about budget and credit. We misunderstood one of the questions she asked and had to correct an answer. This all seemed a bit invasive, but not weird. But, I guess she thought like we looked like we didn't have the money to buy this camper (even though we said our budget was fairly unlimited) and kept trying to tell us (weirdly) that she didn't want us to fall in love with a camper we couldn't afford. She kept insisting that it's harder to qualify for a loan for a camper than a car and she didn't want us to be disappointed. Then when we insisted again that we were good and would not be dependent on their financing... she went and got the sales manager, Victoria, who did the same thing. I kept saying how weird this was, and that we just wanted to look at a range of campers that fit our preferences, she told us that we were the ones that made it weird. Needless to say, we left, disappointed at how we were treated.

However, I must give this Camping World location a solid five-star rating based on my experience with them earlier this month. I began having issues with the 12-volt battery on our RV and knew it needed to be replaced. We were traveling South on Interstate 75 and near our destination for the night with a few hours before check-in time. Since Camping World had easy access and parking at the Lake Park, GA exit, I decided to stop and check on a new battery. Not expecting much, I was surprised when I walked in and was greeted at the door and then again at the service counter. The gentleman who assisted me knew what he was doing and was very helpful. He walked out to the parking lot, verified the type and size of battery I needed, and even offered to loan me tools to replace it. He brought the new battery out in a shopping cart to my RV and told me to return once I had it installed to bring the old battery in to avoid the Core charge. When I checked out, he noticed my Good Sam Membership was due to expire soon and offered to add it to my order. I checked out and we were in and out in very quick order. I wish all Camping World locations had this level of customer service.

All are pull through and pretty level 30 & 50 amp service plus sewer hook up. The general store is well stocked. Bathrooms were fairly modern and very clean. Has a pool but it was too cold to swim. Pool is pretty small. There is probably one of the best laundry rooms I've ever seen at a campground. Four washers and four dryers. $2.00 foe a washer and the same for the dryers. Did a great job washing and you get 40 minutes on the dryer! Plus it was super clean. They have a pretty cool little book exchange located in the laundry area. The books are free to take, but if you have one to exchange they welcome that. I left a few books I had read while on vacation. Pretty cool. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the area and things to do here. The grounds are still suffering from the affects of Hurricane Helene. They have moved all the downed trees toward the lake so it blocks the view of the lake. There are what appears to be some permanent campers on the back of the property by the water. I probably wouldn't stay here for a week again, but if I needed an overnight stay or a couple days I wouldn't hesitate to choose Eagles Roost. There is a huge Flea market at the north end of the property. Seems like it's only open on the weekends. We were not able to check it out.

However, we were coming thru and I called a few parks and they were actually rude. When I called this place the customer service the girl provided was impeccable. I brought both my truck and RV in for service. While there were multiple issues including…read moreunauthorized charges and a significant price discrepancy, my primary concern is that this shop sent my family down the road in an RV with dangerously weak trailer brakes due to incomplete work. The original quote was $3,000. The final bill was over $5,000. While I understood a ~$350 increase for upgraded RV tires (load range E vs G), the remaining ~$1,850 in additional charges was never discussed or approved. On my truck, I agreed to brake replacement and an inspection. When my wife picked it up, she was told I had also authorized an oil change, fuel filter, and engine oil filter replacement. I had not. We had recently had all of that done and were nowhere near due for it again. Those charges were added without my consent. For the RV (leaf spring replacement, bearing repack, and new tires), we specifically scheduled in advance so that the shop could complete the job in one day as they promised. When we picked up the RV, the trailer brakes were dangerously weak. I alerted the employees before we even left the lot, but was told to test them on the road and that they would likely improve. They didn't. As it was already past business hours, I decided to call first thing the next morning. The owner sent the same workers to my location, but they only inspected one brake, then left without finishing or notifying us even though my wife was outside the entire time. The owner became defensive, incorrectly insisted that checking one brake was enough to diagnose all of them, and stated he couldn't spare his workers to return. I was left to perform the diagnostic troubleshooting myself and confirmed that the brakes had not been properly adjusted after the hub service, a standard required step explicitly listed on my invoice as part of the job. The owner never returned my follow-up calls. The safety of my family was put at risk due to incomplete work. Use this shop with caution.

Needless to say, I was in a mood, and I turned to my roadside assistance for help and was directed to Certified. Originally, roadside assistance set my car's destination to a Chevrolet dealership, but it's a Toyota, so after I called Kyle to check the status of my tow, he recommended that I have my car towed directly to Certified instead since there's a mechanic there as well. Tow and mechanic? I'm all for it! William was dispatched to our location, and he contacted me when he was on the way and arrived so quickly! He also patiently waited for our ride to arrive before getting the car on the truck. I was amazed at how smoothly everything went considering it was late on New Year's Evening. My car was diagnosed and fixed the very next day. My fiancé was able to pick up the car the following day. The part, labor, and tow totaled to $400. How awesome is that? You guys saved my life! Thanks so much!
