The purchase included a 10-year parts warranty and a 2-year labor warranty, which was a primary reason I chose them. Our heating system failed completely within just 1.5 years, well within the warranty period. What followed was an unacceptable experience. Despite numerous calls and text messages, the contractor has been almost entirely unresponsive. After the initial breakdown left my family--including young children--in a very cold house, after many calls and text he came to check the issue once but provided no fix and no follow-up plan. My wife said he said he found the issue and will come back in the morning to replace the bad part. Since that visit, he has completely ignored all subsequent communication. This isn't just poor service; it's a breach of contract and a dereliction of his warranty obligation. He took our money for a premium system and installation, then abandoned us the moment his work proved faulty. We were left to suffer in a freezing home during cold weather, which is an absolute failure of a basic HVAC contractor's duty. Do not be misled by advertised warranties. This contractor does not stand behind his work. The lack of communication, professionalism, and basic concern for a family with small children is appalling. I am now forced to hire another company at significant additional expense to diagnose and repair what should have been a covered warranty claim. Hornet's Heating and Cooling replaced and installed a new outside unit 7 years ago and replaced the…read moreevaporator coils on the unit in my attic. This weekend my ac stopped working and I had another HVAC company come out to diagnosis. I provided paperwork from Hornets that I have a 10 year manufacturing warranty and a 5 year warranty on certain parts. After their diagnosis, they informed me the evaporator coils were damaged and that old parts were used. The outside unit was a 2018 model, but the parts were from 2014. Not only were old parts used, Hornets did not register the parts, therefore voiding the warranty, as well as the installation of the outside unit was of poor work. Now I'm having to pay another HVAC company to replace a unit that typically should have a usefulness of at least 10 years. I would give them 0 stars, but I have to give 1 in order to post this review.

Drew from Hornet HVA in…read moreConcord, NC came to install a new Hvac system in our home in April of this year.  When he left he told us, and we thought we had a good unit we could depend on.  Three day after he installed the unit, it wasn't cooling properly.  He said his guys didn't fill the unit with coolant  when it was installed and he topped it off.  We only used the ac sporadically until the week of June 12th.  Four days after we started using the unit daily, a water leak developed that damaged the sheet rock below it and the floor.  Thank God it was only a storage closet.  I called Drew and asked him to come out and check it.  He said he would be out that afternoon.   After waiting til 8pm, I called back and he wouldn't answer my call. I also sent him a text  with no response.   We had to call a plumber and another hvac company to fix the problems. The new hvac company said it was leaking coolant and oil.  He said if Drew had done the proper diagnostic upon installation,  he would have found the unit was DAMAGED.  It cost us another $3000 dollars to correct the problem.   I didn't see the post from a year ago that had the same experience until today.  After he gets your money, don't expect to hear from him again.  His failure up becomes your problem not his.  Please DO NOT allow Drew to do any installation work at your home.

They have always been very honest and trustworthy about the condition of our units. We thought we needed to call every season change to make sure systems were running efficiently, however, Allen/Ethan said we didn't need to do that, just to call when something goes wrong. We only call if we have a problem and if it's in the evening, they are here the next morning. Just to show how honest they are, in 26 years, we have only replaced 1 AC unit. One of our neighbors that moved into their home maybe 4-6 months later than we did uses another HVAC provider. They have replaced at least 2 HVAC units and they have the provider out every season change and it seems there's always some issue.

After the usual introductions, I started to show Karsten where all the equipment was. He said he was first going to check our thermostat. I had contacted Integrity about a month ago regarding what I thought might have been a problem with the thermostat. He checked it and said it needed a slight recalibration, which he did. He upgraded the A/C condensate drain tube and we had him install a second drain pan float switch. We felt he did a great job in checking over the A/C and was very knowledgable in any qustions we had. We fell comfortable we'll survive another Charlotte summer.

The problem was water sitting in the exhaust pipe and they told us we were basically on our own to fix it and the company they recommended to do the work was lost about having to break our ceiling up to get at the pipe and basically a nightmare conversation with them, Integrity charged us twice for the two visits and said they would reimburse us the 200 dollars which they then said they never told us that we would get any money back. They reimbursed us $1.41 after all was said and done, We paid alot of money for the new unit and after it was installed Integrity just basically washed their hands of us after it was done. They are not people of their word and I would never recommend them to anyone.
