I called JF Air on a Saturday because my a/c unit was blowing air that was not cold. I recognized that the outside unit was the problem - the fan was not turning. So I called and left a message. Jason called me right back but informed me that he does not service Rock Hill. Even though he could not come, he walked me through possible problems and solutions. I identified the faulty part, and then I was able to find the correct capacitor and replace it. So, while he did not come and service my unit, he was very kind and helpful to me and helped me solve my problem and turn the a/c back on! While I can't use his services, I recommend him as a good and helpful person. read more

JF Air and Heat, My geothermal heat pump was struggling to keep us cool. I did a search for the best heat and air companies. JF was on the list, and as I prefer to support the local small businessmen, I gave him a call. I did need to leave a message, but Jason promptly responded. He came out and did a thorough diagnosis. He is old school and does what's needed to figure out the issue. In my case, I needed a new evaporator coil. My unit was still under warranty, so I contacted the manufacturer. No problem there, they would send out a new one... in a month (ended up being 6 weeks), we were lucky as the weather wasn't too bad. But there was a cold snap. Jason even offered to loan me some space heaters... (Who does that these days? ). Once my part arrived, Jason fit me into his schedule and showed up on time, even alerting me to being stuck in traffic. Once he arrived, he jumped into action. (As you can tell, i tend to ramble and ask many many questions and offer my own advice) Jason took this all in stride, always happy and smiling. Now, the part that I was sent was NOT exactly what was needed. No mounting holes, pipes run in the opposite direction as needed, and a few other problems with it. Still, smiles and a "don't worry, I got this " attitude. This fix was no small fix. He had to evacyate all the old freon, tear it all apart, cut the old pipes, unsolder them, get the old out, and put the new back in. Re-evacuate , load new freon, pressure test the system. And then get the pressures correct (all without any information from the manufacture) he had to base this on his vast experience. AND, he did this in 3 hours. Amazing to me, 3 HOURS !!! I can do a lot of DIY stuff, and this would have taken me a whole day, if not longer. My unit now runs better than it did when it was new. I am so pleased that I selected Jason from JF Air and Heat to do my repair. The good lord must have directed my choice. I could not have chosen better ! read more

A repair technician/company that actually repairs the equipment you have: I had the best experience with JF Air and Heat. My response time was excellent and the job was completed within 24 hours. Jason was very knowledgeable about my air conditioner and knew exactly what was needed to repair it. My old 15 year old unit had lost all of it's refrigerant through the electrical interface in the compressor, he was proactive in suggesting to upgrade it to the modern environmentally friendly coolant. He scheduled the appointment, called while en-route and arrived within 30 minutes that he had stated. He replaced my compressor and capacitor in about 2 hours. My AC ran out of 410A frion. I called many companies to come service my carrier unit on a Saturday and no luck....until Jason. He came within a few hours and went above and beyond. Call JF Air and heat before you call ANYONE else. Truly HONEST and is extremely reasonable. Was quoted insane amounts from larger "big name" HVAC companies, only to find out it was a much smaller fix for only a portion of the price. We have rental properties we service and we will NEVER call anyone else again. My brother was quoted an insane price from another company of $7200 for a new system that they claimed needed to be replaced due to his system being 7 years old and under sized for his home. Called JF Air and heat and found out the system in the home was actually less than two years old. The other company had LIED. Wound up being a much much smaller fix.
