Everyone enjoyed their meals. I will say though, the cannoli were the most disappointing. They are tiny mini cannoli with a small dollop of whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup. That is not a $12 dessert. There are photos that I posted last year that show 3 larger cannoli that were more substantial. I think if a dessert is $12, it would be more than one bite per person. Overall, very cozy eatery, but I did notice lots of customers turned away on a Wednesday night without a reservation. They usually have some bar seating, but even that fills up. With that being said, make a reservation to secure a table. Food is very good, and most likely you will take some to go and eat the next day. That is always a treat. Nice having great Italian by my favorite beach. We don't get to Freddie's often, but it is a nice place for a special occasion or a date night. 4 stars.

It's pretty small, so I don't suggest going with a large group of friends. Our waitress, Allison, was friendly and attentive. There's lots to choose from on the menu, including lunch specials. But I ended up ordering the buddha bowl, which had grilled pork. I asked for the Thai peanut dressing on the side. I never know how drenched a dish could be with the dressing. The bowl included rice noodles, cucumbers, other veggies. It also had sliced jalapeno peppers, which added a little kick, but still mild. One friend ordered the dumplings and a Caesar salad, while my other friend ordered the lemongrass curry with chickpeas. She wished she had it with chicken. Everything was delicious and flavorful, although the sliced cucumbers could have been seasoned or pickled. I brought home my leftovers, which I had for dinner. There was plenty of grilled pork, but unfortunately, four pieces were just fat and gristle . The chef needs to trim the pork properly and keep the chunks of fat/gristle out of the dish. That was disappointing. There are other items on the menu I would like to try. Overall, a very good lunch.
