Normally, this would be a huge issue for me; I don't like companies incentivizing reviews. I've broken relationships with companies in the past just for asking (Hargrove should be careful about this) but I honestly have had a lot of trouble with businesses in Augusta being professional, and Hargrove was a really positive experience, so I'll break my rule this time. The big plus from them is attention to detail and the customer. From the receptionist to the tech at the house, everyone was really friendly and personable. Add in that they know what they're talking about, and are flexible (I had to change my appointment and they moved it with no issue) and you have the makings of a great business. It's just obvious from the start that they are good at what they do. I didn't have a single gripe with Hargrove after calling a few other pest services and feeling like I was asking a lot to pay someone for a service. Frankly, I've been really baffled in Augusta with how hard it is to find technicians or services from decent companies. Thanks Hargrove for being the exception to this. And thanks for getting rid or the spiders!

I called Northwestern Exterminating about a bed bug inspection. I was covered in mysterious bites…read moreand could not determine whether or not I had bed bugs. I chose Northwestern for the inspection because of their friendly receptionist, free inspections and free followups. The exterminator Rocco was incredibly helpful and professional. He looked at pictures of my bites. Inspected my sheets, mattress, couch and cat bed for both bed bugs and fleas. After a thorough inspection he determined that it was highly unlikely that I have bed bugs and that encouraged me to call back if I have similar bites so he could take another look at my mattress and bedding. Overall the staff at Northwestern was thorough but not pushy. The company seems very customer friendly and helpful. Needless to say they will be my go to exterminator in the future. I highly recommend them.

The sales rep, Deanna, was confusing, overly pushy, and sent multiple contracts before I even confirmed interest. Her excessive calls and emails were off-putting, and I seriously considered not using the company because of her. If this is her sales style, she needs training. If the company allows it, shame on them. Then Josh Klein showed up at my house (part of my builder contract), and he completely turned things around. He was professional, knowledgeable, and the only reason I decided to subscribe. The service itself is great--non-toxic and quick. Their website isn't very user-friendly on mobile, and they only accept card or ACH, which isn't ideal. Four stars because of Josh and the service. Minus one for Deanna.

We were referred by friends near us who use this company for termite protection. The initial…read moreinspection was done quickly but not what I expected from what I've read about on the internet...they only checked around the crawl space and outside. Guess if there's damage elsewhere then we're covered if they didn't bother to inspect those areas more closely. We signed the contract but they never contacted us for a date to come install, we had to call them back a week and a half later asking if they still wanted our business, they sent someone out the next day. Maybe that was a preliminary sign to me to not use them when they don't bother to reach out to you? Now after the install I'm going to have to get someone to come back out because they put one of the trappers in my flower bed where I planted expensive iris bulbs. So far, not impressed. I guess we will see how this goes and cancel if this kind of service continues ...I'll update if anything changes!

I am writing this review because of the experience with this company. I thought that they would…read moretreat us well because of being used by the builders of our home. I am sharing this because of my disappointment. We were unlucky. At first we had the appointed employee come faithfully. We were happy for a while, however, we always saw various pests in between. My husband convinced me that you can't get them all. However, I felt that it could get better. I called the office to request the appointed employee to spray inside. He had usually sprayed outside. He came inside once. We have had this service since April, 23. The one time he came in, we discovered only one ant that was seen. We were happy, however, during the next visit, I asked the appointed employee to come inside, however, he stated that he didn't need to and he was spraying something outside that should help. However, about a week or so later, all-----broke loose. We had ants everywhere. The bathroom, baseboard, etc. They agreed to return again for $91 charge for October. By then, the ants had moved to the kitchen area. We discovered that they were in the sink, some cabinets, behind the stove and even in the Refrigerator! We were in trouble. We cancelled our service and because of that we paid for October and they stated that the pest control and termite control were connected. We had to pay $300 also. Unfortunately, we kept the termite service. I am terribly upset with our results for the pest control. I hope we don't feel the same about the termite control. I have not experienced this even in older homes. I don't understand what happened.......?
