We were seated very quickly and it wasn't super busy but the servers were disorganized and rather than having all their tables together they were all over the place and everyone in our dining room was having issues with slow/disruptive service because of this. We got our drinks from the bartender about the time our entrees were coming out. The carrots and radish melt were just WET with the amount of oil used. The bacon and cheese fries were a little soggy but actually tasted pretty good. Drove 45 minutes to try this place after seeing the praise in the Smile Politely article on Facebook, but frankly, they must have paid someone to write this article because it was very underwhelming.

My parents and I were big fans of the Bayern Stube and eager to give its replacement Horsch Radish a try - it did not disappoint! The food menu is a bit more limited in comparison, but what it may lack in variety it more than makes up for in flavor! We will be back!

    Bangers and Mash

I've always wanted to try this place, and finally made time to do so. We went fairly early (4:30pm) and the waitress we had was fantastic and super attentive. I ordered the bangers and mash, and was pleasantly surprised that the bangers are made in house. Sounds like they source a lot of their meat locally, which is super cool! I'll definitely be back to try more!

Rahmschnitzel with the sauce on the side. Look at how inviting the sauce is! Look at those potatoes!

We got to experience Horsch Radish for lunch today! It was fantastic! The menu is super-enticing, and the service was wonderful!! Can't wait to return. I didn't get a picture of the bread basket, but the bread was so dreamy! Homemade pretzel, and another tasty bread. And that butter! A soft compound butter with chives (I think?) and garlic. I wanted a gallon of it!

Great service and wonderful German restaurant food. Always a favorite! We love to take company to share a good beer and Schnitzel.

Great atmosphere and great food! Upscale German farm to table food. Service is great as well. I love the German beer options and cozy bar.

Food is not as good as they think it is and it's very very expensive for what it is!! Not worth it! Don't waste your time or money!

After stopping by the Abraham Lincoln House and library, we came across this microbrewery and had…read moreto go in! They also have a cidery, but it wasn't open during this season. Thankfully we still were able to get one cider, and they had a selection of other beers. The cider was tart and refreshing, and I really like the berry mocktail, which had ginger beer, and a mix of berries in it. As for food, the Nashville hot chicken sandwich came with a lot of heat which was great. I got the dry rub version, which is spicer than the saucy version. The horseshoe sandwich is a local favorite, which is an open faced sandwich with sliced bread topped with meat (we got the angus beef), fries, and cheese sauce. It was quite heavy and creamy because of all the sauce. Overall we enjoyed our meal and our server was very friendly, although service was on the slower side.

This brewery shares an outdoor beer garden with the cider shop next door. Rustic picnic tables…read moreoutside, tables and chairs under the canopy. There's a limited menu at the brewery, order drinks and food at counter and pager sounds to let you know when your order is ready. There's several outdoor games, jumbo Connect Four, beanbags, etc. to keep patrons amused and occupied. My chicken Caesar wrap was fresh and tasty, quesadillas reported as good. Not a bad way to spend a warm evening. I'd like to see an alternative floor outside, mini gravel not comfy when it gets into your sandals!
