This bagel shop is right next to the Metro north station so it can get busy especially during the morning rush hour. I like seeing a line and a busy place as that to me means the food is fresh and it's a popular spot! I was so excited to order my toasted everything bagel with plain cream cheese. I was never greeted upon arrival and the lady threw my bagel in a brown paper bag and threw it on the counter. I was shocked at her lack of customer service and rudeness. I took my bagel and drove home. I drove all the way home to the Bronx and when I opened up the bag it was a PLAIN bagel with cream cheese. A thirty minute drive home and it wasn't what I ordered. The employees clearly don't care about customer service or the food presentation. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

Sophia's bagels of Larchmont is not a bagel shop that I would never patronize again. I ordered a toasted bagel with scallion cream cheese, and what I received was a stark white bagel with a glop of cream cheese with an entire bunch of unchopped scallions. When I asked why my bagel was untoasted I was told that this is toasted and there's nothing she could do about it. The fact that the person behind the counter thought it was ok to speak to ANY customer in a disrespectful and rude manner was enough for me to never return. read more

This bagel store is next to the Metro north larchmont station which is a plus for sure. They also have a sandwich I think it is named the metro north. I got there before a rush of people came in. Line does move fast but it is a bit confusing as there is a sign that says order here but really you go to the front to order. Staff were ok. There really is nothing like a NYC bagel though. I got a sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese. It was ok but I have had better bagels. They have some tables and chairs inside and out too. As I said before it is conveniently located where they get alot of foot traffic due to the train station being right there. read more

Our food was fine so I'm leaving 2 stars. My problem with this place is the staff. My kids and I stopped by to get some bagels for brekkie/lunch. When we entered, two of the employees were having a conversation with each other and it was almost as if they expected to ask to be helped. We were not greeted. We stood there for some time and then were given dead stares. It was odd. They acted as though we were interrupting them. It felt as though they did not want to assist us and perhaps that's true. In any case, the place looked clean and all the food is prepared in plain view and since I had no intention of looking for any other place to grab a bite to eat, we sucked it up and ordered our food, much to my son's disdain. He would have preferred we left right then and there. The employees seemed genuinely unhappy with their jobs and considering that they're face to face with the patrons, they might want to seek alternative employment. Our food was prepared fresh in front of us, and we took our items to go. The food was OK. We all had bagel sandos. When we left, I noticed many other shops that I wished I would have gone to try instead, just because of the experience. Whomever owns this place may want to speak to the staff about hospitality. Incredible! This new bagel spot has the best bagels in Westchester. They start making the bagels at 4am in the shop, and keep making them all day until sold out. They make them ol' fashioned style, kettle-boiled, and so fresh. We got a toasted everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, and it was epic! All at once, doughy, crispy, fluffy, and flavorful. I used to love this place. Part of me still does however I am shocked by this email from the management team. I ordered online for pickup (like I've done many times) and received confirmation of pickup for 9:03. I got there at 9:10 and saw a few other online orders for pick up at the side. I waited until about 9:20 and asked about my order. It seems they missed it off the computer. The guys were in a blitz so I understood. But then it took another 20 mins for them to complete my order - if I had missed someone's order I would have does whatever it took to get it out ASAP. It was so busy, and my family was now very late, so it was not the time to ask for any discount or refund. I contacted chow now (the platform I ordered through) for a refund and Bagels by Sofia issued a very small % back. I wrote to Bagels by Sofia and got this response back. Wow. The bagels are ok but not good enough to go back for with a response like this. Could I have left? Sure. (And we would have had to go elsewhere for food as this was breakfast for the kids) But I'm sure if I had I would have had no breakfast and would have been charged the full amount. Also, I've never seen a Starbucks order late by 40 mins... anyone? read more

Food is usually ok. Went to get latest bagels and they had mat fiber in the bagels. When to shop to tell them about it and they didn't make much of it and just said to me that sometimes this happens lol so check your bagels when you get them from them :) also one of the staff went to cashier and steaks give him the money back so you can get him (me) out of here lol. This is a nice bagel place. The servers are fast and efficient and the place is clean for take out only. My only complaint is that they don't carry any ham. I can speculate it may be religious observance. However they feature bacon so I'm a bit confused. Otherwise a decent deli that has reopened after a fire. read more

For a small place that has 4-5 employees behind the counter their service SUCKS. I have been there twice and will never go back ! First time I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese with pepper and ketchup and bacon well down with a large coffee, with cream and sugar. I paid for my order and got on the train, to find a black coffee with no sugar, and a sandwich with almost rare bacon and no pepper and ketchup, not even ketchup packets. Then I tried a second time with a very simple order..... a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese and again, when I got home the bagel was burnt ! Again, for a small place with sooo many employees behind the counter, I can't understand how they constantly mess things up? I have gone twice now in the morning and bagels do not taste or feel fresh. The portions of cream cheese are very light and you feel like you only are eating a bagel. I do think they should be wearing two gloves during covid to prepare food. In addition, I found a large hair in my bagel. read more
