I am not a gambler. Slot machines, card tables, spinning roulette wheels are fun to look at and appreciate but I'm not at all drawn in to risk money. It just isn't something that interests me. Instead, I was here for the Brew Brothers restaurant where I hoped to sit for a bit with my laptop, some air conditioning and a beer or two to pass the time. The casino definitely has curb appeal. They have a huge parking deck which is attached to the hotel and casino. There is also a large surface lot which is where I parked my sprinter van as it would not fit in the deck. Inside, a quick security check followed by shiny bright lights, ringing slot machine bells and some signage pointing the way to the restaurants. I found Brew Brothers easily after walking through the not completely unsmoky casino. People smoke, and the casino does what they can to purify the air. It wasn't working well this afternoon. I did my time at the restaurant and then departed. On the way out, I found the men's room which has good signage directing the way. It was clean and properly stocked. Pro tip: If you leave the casino and turn right onto Michigan Avenue, it's a looooooong way - 6+ miles - on this service road before you can access I-74. Turn left out of the parking lot! My wife and I visited this property 21 July 2026 my first impression was it was quite large and clean. I went to the cage to get money out of an account and they charged me $46 to do so I've never had a Caesars property as a seven star charged me money to get out of my own account. I had a problem with a slot machine and pushed my service light and after 30 minutes of nobody coming I got up and went somewhere else. I went back to reward Services four times to have my card reprogrammed. My two new cards never worked the entire night. I'm assuming they don't want you to get any points or free play. My wife enjoyed herself in the Poker Room and had a pretty decent time. We did eat at brew Brothers and the food was pretty decent. Nice clean facility but don't plan on anybody coming to help you for anything. read more

I was here for an event and not to gamble, so take that into account. They hosted the event well. The food was decent, and the service was flawless. I was told that this is one of the most profitable locations for Caesars, so I am not sure if that is good news or bad news if you are a gambler. I stopped in here yesterday. I have been coming to this casino for years, since the day it opened. It has changed hands a couple of times and it has definitely been worse. I like the restaurants in here. The high-end Jack Binion's Steak is super good but the price is pretty high. Although if you play enough and your player's card status is high enough they give you a $100 gift card to use once a year and that is when I eat at the steak house. Today I ate at JJ Brew Brothers and had the burnt ends with bbq sauce app and a Malibu and cranberry. The bartender was friendly and attentive without being overly so. The food was pretty good, maybe a bit too much sauce and I like my burnt ends a little more done but overall good. If you play often they also offer gifts and this was one of those days. I picked up a new air fryer. Costly little thing in the end I don't win all that often in this place and prefer to travel to their location in Anderson. We went to Horseshoe to see Eclipse 2024. It was my first time there. It was opening day, and they tried to make it a memorable event. They gave out Eclipse glasses and a limited number of collapsible chairs. Horseshoe is not an attractive track. There's a casino, a bar, no restaurant to speak of, other than upstairs where there were also some seating behind glass to watch racing. We planned to meet friends and watch horse races and have dinner the other day. The clubhouse looked nice and inviting and our server was attentive and friendly. I was a little disappointed when we were seated and given a limited list of items on the menu. I'm not sure why the kitchen was down but hope it's only that way for a short while. I have used their full menu in the past and really enjoyed those items but today I settled on pulled pork and chips. It was ok but not much flavor and no sauce at all. They did still provide bar services. For people who use the machines for betting it seemed that there were several although the machine in our seating area always seemed to have a line. I still like to use a live cashier area so I can stretch a bit during the races but today there was only one cashier line. She was helpful and friendly but there was always a long line and in one race I had to wait so long that the window closed and I couldn't place a bet at all. I win! I won. I won't return because I don't like to gamble. However, I had an amazing time with my friend who does like to gamble. There was a live DJ and complimentary coffee, water and pop. However, I was disappointed that the coffee machine was out of order. I asked an employee but they were not able to give me a cup for some reason. I went in the steak house but the host seemed bothered by my arrival. I asked to view a menu after she glared at me without greeting me. I left. I circled the casino and played machines for about an hour before heading upstairs with my winnings. It is very comfortable in the sitting stress and it allowed me some solitude away from the hustle and bustle of the busy casino before friend got a drink, music and socializing with strangers. It has been quite awhile since we have attended a horse race at the old INDIANA GRAND RACINO. But after a friend invited to join her party of seven we enjoyed the excitement of four of the last races. Our friend had reserved a table at the finish line in the Clubhouse. Betting on long shots, we walked out dead even. In addition to the great company, we enjoyed an early dinner while watching the races. The food was normal pub food but the portions were huge. I would call them"family size". Soft drinks, tea or adult beverages are available tableside. WHAT WAS EXCEPTIONAL WAS THE SERVICE FROM GRACE, our server. She was quick, friendly and supplied refills before you had time to ask. Serving a table of nine seniors can be somewhat grueling, but Grace was on point in every way. We let the Clubhouse Manager know and he was very gracious and sincere in thanking us. HORSESHOE INDIANAPOLIS had a very rough transition, in my opinion, when Caesar's purchased the property and began the upgrade. Great late-night getaway. There's no hotel attached to it though, so plan accordingly. The crab cakes were great! Half the machines were out of order so hopefully that's resolved. The recent buy out and remodel done by Cesar's was definitely a much needed up grade. This property has seen it's different share of owners over the years and so far the Horseshoe Indianapolis by Cesar's is the best. A wide variety of both slot and table games with plenty of space make it easy to play without feeling crowded or rushed. There are plenty of video poker and keno machines to play from along with multiple different dine in options to grab something to eat when needing a quick pick me up ranging from more expensive fine dining to fast, quick, and cheap. The smoke in here is unbelievable! Not sure if the ventilation system isn't working correctly, or what. The non smoking area is a joke - have to walk through the smoke to get to it, and there are very few games. Should be like casinos not in Indiana and set up a closed off area for smokers!! My daughter is a Diamond Status Caesars Rewards Member. She flew in on Thanksgiving and took ride share to this casino to play table games. At the door they refused to check her luggage so she was unable to play and had to pay for two rideshare trips to here and to her hotel. Terrible management and policy. read more
