This has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing service experiences I have ever had with an auto repair shop. The primary issue was not simply the delay in repairs, but the consistent lack of communication and professionalism throughout the entire process. The repair itself was straightforward: replacement of the top piece of the GMC tailgate and the bed cover. I was initially told the work would take three to four days. Instead, the repair took two weeks and four days to complete. During that time, I received no proactive communication from your shop. The only updates I received were when I called after promised completion dates had already passed. I later learned that the same part had been delivered incorrectly twice. Even then, I was not informed directly. Communication only occurred after the regional All-State liaison intervened and threatened to escalate the matter. Until that point, no one from your shop contacted me, despite assurances that updates would be provided. I was also told that the shop had called me previously, which is simply untrue. I did not receive a single call. After a week and a half without updates, All-State contacted me because your shop had not entered any progress into their system. The only communication I received from your team came on the final day, when I was told the part had arrived and the truck would be ready that afternoon. This lack of communication had real consequences. Had I been informed earlier that the bed cover was the only remaining issue, I could have taken my truck back temporarily and avoided approximately $450 in rental car costs. There were additional missed opportunities to provide competent service. I requested that the vehicle be inspected and was later told it could not pass inspection due to an oxygen sensor error. While the truck was already sitting at your facility waiting for the bed cover, the inspection could have been performed and the issue identified earlier, allowing service to be scheduled efficiently. The final interaction when picking up the truck reinforced my concerns about professionalism. I was told wiring to the rear light had been disconnected due to corrosion, which I understood. However, when I went outside to the vehicle alone, I found three wires hanging approximately seven inches below the bumper. When I returned inside to ask about it, I was told they were left hanging so I could see the corrosion. No one offered to walk out with me, explain the issue, or secure the wiring afterward. Instead, I had to secure the wires myself in the middle of winter. A simple explanation, demonstration, or even a photograph would have been more appropriate. My wife and I have purchased two vehicles from Hoselton in the past, which makes this experience especially disappointing. Unfortunately, the lack of communication, accountability, and basic service professionalism means we will not be returning as customers. Recently I bought a nice truck from Van Bortel. The insurance company I deal with wanted a current picture of it. So I had to research around the city. Due to the Pandemic, a few places had closed down. The car agency that was still active was Hoselton in Fairport. I called there and spoke to Therese. She explained that they were booked solid, and had absorbed other places business due to closing. I told her the Insurance company I deal with set a date (July 15th) to complete the inspection. She said she couldn't due it but told me to hang on. She shuffled some papers and appointments around and said the earliest she could do it was the 19th. I contacted my insurance company and applied for an extension, they granted it to me. I was pleased with Therese, she got me in and went through the procedure. Very polite and professional. She also works with a gentlemen by the name of Trevor who I spoke to also prior to my appointment. He was helpful also. The entire office was professional. read more

Edit 4/27/24 Hoselton came through and has refunded my money for the service described below. Thank you for your attention to the matter. I dropped off my 2023 Chevy Tahoe at Hoselton because the battery was dying in my garage. I was informed by Paul in Service that they would check it out, and as the car was only 6 months old, everything would be covered under warranty. After countless diagnostics over 3 weeks, the service department couldn't figure out what the problem was. To cover their tail, Paul blamed the problem on a dealer installed Lojack device, which, of course voided the warranty EVEN THOUGH IT WAS DEALER INSTALLED. So I was suddenly on the hook for $2,300 of diagnostic work as well as a loaner, which at least Paul and one other said would also be covered as well. What could I do? I now had a loaner that was accruing daily charges. And yes, my car battery was still dead and I actually had to jump it to get it off the lot. At least one of the service guys had the decency to help me jump it so I could drive it away. read more

The dealer (salesman) working with me was knowledgeable & simply the best when it came to helping me try to buy a truck!! We looked up the value of my trade, found all discounts I qualify for & found me the truck I need for my business. He provided me with all of the information about the truck I needed to know... that was the truck for me! Once we test drove the new vehicle we began to finalize my purchase. Mgmt at this dealership offered me the lowest trade value for my vehicle out of any dealer (ALL other dealers have offered me several thousand dollars more for my trade). Their attempt to not just maximize their profit but jam me on the deal was beyond not fair & that's why I'm taking the time to help others when thinking they'll get a fair deal from this dealership. The decision makers knew 1) That I was serious & wanted to buy the new truck 2) That I only buy Chevrolet (which they couldn't get me loyalty discount at all) & 3) That I actually had the funds to buy the new truck that day. Undervalue of my trade was to be expected by any dealer (a bit) but there was 0 attempt to be remotely fair whatsoever. I'll continue to buy Chevrolet & once I'm loyal to a dealer, I buy all my vehicles from that dealer! My next dealer I become a loyal customer to in order to buy all of my work trucks & track cars to race will never, ever be from this dealership... not due to the hardworking salesman that tried so hard to make the deal work. I was looking to purchase a truck when I stopped in and talked to the used car sales department this past October. I was trading in my Mustang that I honestly was on the fence about trading in. I was looking for a Silverado, V8, 4x4. They said they had one so I took a look and was on the fence still. I took it for a test drive and it seemed fine, however there was a bunch of dog hair all over the interior and 2000 more miles than advertised. When I got back, I told the sales person about the dog hair to which I was assured the entire truck would be gone through inside and out if I made the trade and purchased it. We started talking numbers and vehicle history. My first question being "Has this truck been in any type of accidents?" I was assured that it had not, he even took a few moments on the computer to make it seem as though he was looking up the Carfax, something I should have done myself. Taking the word of the sales person I was told that with my trade in I could get the truck at the very top of the monthly payment that I was looking to make. Not being terribly discouraged due to assurance of no accident history, decent milage, payments that I could manage, and assurance of an interior and exterior detail I decided to pull the trigger. What a mistake... When I came and dropped my car off the day I was supposed to trade it in and pick up the truck, I was told it wasn't ready yet. Not a huge deal, I knew it needed to be cleaned up. When I went do to do the paperwork, the guy was able to snake in another $6000+ in fees which cranked my payment up nearly $150 more per month. Well above what I was trying to pay, but still manageable. I finally got notified to come pick up the truck after a few days, and I arrived to the truck looking exactly as I had last seen it, full of dog hair and covered in dust, mud, dirt outside the truck. After hunting down the sales person, I asked him what was up. He said he guessed that they must not have done a very good job, and I would have to set up an appointment to have the truck cleaned and detailed. Also that I would have to take the truck myself for rustproofing. I set up the appointment which ended up being nearly a week away. When I brought the truck in, I ended up having to explain myself what was happening and then ended up waiting in their abysmal waiting room for somewhere around 5 hours give or take. When they brought the truck out, the outside was still filthy and there was STILL dog hair all over the interior. I brought out the desk clerk and manager and showed them and was assured that they would make it better, but I would have to schedule another appointment. Another week later I bring the truck in, this time having to wait nearly 6 hours for them to do the work. The interior was finally cleaner, but whomever washed or cleaned the outside had burnt away a bunch of paint on a fender, and scratched/chipped my door, as well as the cab. I again showed the manager and was again told I would have to come back again and they would fix it. Again, another week later I ended up waiting another 5-ish hours for them to buff the truck. They couldn't fix the fender and actually had taken more paint off, and they totally ruined the entire drivers side with swirl marks. At this point I got confused because I know that only happens with either new paint jobs, or someone burning a few spots. Being that it was the entire drivers side, I paid myself to get the Carfax for the truck. And this is where the even bigger nightmare began. The truck had been in a wreck that had caused "Functional Damage" to the vehicle that they claimed on the dealership's insurance. It was later revealed to me that it had been wrecked right on their own car lot!!! They lied flat out to me from the very beginning. At this point I decided I needed to talk to someone higher up. I called the head of used car sales and explained the entire situation, and explained that had I of known this I would never have bought the truck and that I was lied to from the start. Even though he agreed that he would feel the same as I do, there was nothing he was going to do at this point and he was washing his hands of the entire situation because "it's a good truck". In the end I paid over $42,000 for a used 2020 Silverado that had been in a wreck and was hidden from me. I am a disabled 40 year old on a fixed income and can not afford a lawyer or I would have hired one for Dealer Fraud. Please learn from my mistake and stay as far as possible away from this dealership. They have figured out how to hustle people and get away with some very dirty business tactics. None of my family or friends will be doing any business with these shysters and I will warn anyone and everyone I know looking for a vehicle to stay as far away as possible. I'm not sure where to leave this review, but technically I bought the used 2013 Nissan Pathfinder from the Chevy store. I had an AMAZING experience at Hoselton Toyota a few years ago, so when I totaled my Camry, I honestly didn't even think to go anywhere else! When I had such a great experience, I talked it up, and even got my parents to lease 2! brand new Nissans from Hoselton! This time way terrible! I have a budget that wasn't even CLOSELY followed when handed over to finance team. no one ever called to tell me what the payment was prior to when I was supposed to pick up car. My husband and I waited over 45 minutes for someone to come do our paperwork, which was $50 more than we wanted a month, and for a year longer than our desired budget. NO ONE EVER CALLED TO TELL ME WHAT THE INTEREST RATE OR PAYMENTS WERE PRIOR TO PICK UP!!!!! probably because I would have refused, and they care more about selling than if I can make the payment. I was honestly pissed and wished I had walked away. THEN, two days later, someone from finance called and they messed up all the paperwork, so I had to come in again and re sign everything. I will never return to Hoselton. Thankfully, I recently received a great raise and will be able to pay off the car early. But I will never forget that no one called to discuss financing when it was SO far off from our budget. The dealership acted like they got me a great deal, when the deal was absolute garbage. They are notorious for terrible trade-in values. We dealt with them 4 years ago and bought a used Nissan Rogue from their used car center. We paid $23k and change for it, we were trading in my ext cab truck for a vehicle that would be more suitable for our first child. Our first family car. A year and a half later we went back as we were expecting another child and knew the rogue wasn't going to cut it. We looked at a Pacifica and went to their used car center and they came back with our trade in value for the rogue at $12k!!! It depreciated half its value in 18 months!! When I brought this to the General Manager's attention he noted that I did come in to the Nissan loan with $2k negative equity from my truck, and said he could do $13k. Wow! Another $1,000!! Yippeeeee! We still owed $18k on it!! I told them in an email my kindest regards and said we will be going elsewhere and would never be doing business with them again. Fast forward to today, needless to say I should've stuck to my word. Saw a used truck on the lot, wanted to trade in my existing truck towards it and even went as far as trying the KBB instant cash offer route and received an email from Hoselton saying they were running a promotion of, guess what, $1,000 more than your KBB price!! Come on down!!!! My KBB was $14,601. Another $1000 I was thinking to myself "this is a pretty good deal". Came in for my appointment to see the truck, the salesman went to get the truck and I told him I want to talk numbers first before we get carried away. Wanted to confirm this "KBB instant cash offer" deal before we went any further. They took my keys, made us wait an extended amount of time, to come back and tell me my KBB offer is disqualified because of the minor surface rust on my wheel Wells. Hahaha of course it is! I was told they could run it again but it would be $4k less than what I came in with. We exchanged some friendly conversation on what the differences were for "minor cosmetic" damage on KBB's good condition rating. I said thanks but no thanks. I just have to share these experiences in hopes that whoever else gets sucked in to the used car deal scams, hopefully this will save them the wasted time they put us through and the even more time it took for me to write this review. Didn't feel over pressured even when I decided to purchase a different vehicle elsewhere. A little different story with used car center, which is a smaller building on the property. Like most dealerships, most profit is from used cars, leading to more aggressive sales tactics. Of course the manager had to "intervene" when I showed reluctance to purchase. read more

I left this message for Hoselton Chevy on June 19, 2021. My service advisor, Brian Disanto, called and said I would receive a full refund because I was not satisfied with my experience at Hoselton. Its now July 25, 2021 and nothing but crickets from Hoselton. I wrote the owner, Drew Hoselton a letter and mailed it yesterday. Maybe the ownership of Hoselton will take my concerns seriously and address the lack of action from the Service Department. Over the last five years, I've done about $20,000 of business with the service department of Hoselton. My most recent visit will likely be my last. Hoselton replaced my brake rotors about 10,000 miles ago and during my inspection visit, they told me that the rotors were rusted out and delaminating. I requested that the parts be kept so I could look at them. Suspiciously, the parts were discarded so I could not look at the condition of the parts. I contacted the service director and got no response. I hope the $500 you got from me is worth the loss of the future business. read more

Approximately 12 months ago I purchased a 2009 Cadillac CTS from Hoselton. I commute from Chicago every other week and simply needed a reliable used vehicle to travel back and forth to my work location in Bloomfield. I had only driven the vehicle 4,000 miles when the following issues developed. 1. The driver's side door handle would not operate, 2. the check engine light was coming on / off intermittently, 3. the ABS / Traction Control / All-Wheel Drive service light was on. Additionally, I requested an oil change and tire rotation. I had to sign an agreement to charge $480 for diagnostics, which would go towards the repair in the event I elected to repair the vehicle. Two hours after dropping the vehicle off at the dealership the problems had been diagnosed and I was quoted $1,680 to repair the vehicle. I agreed to the repair and the cost. However, after picking up the vehicle and evaluating to specific charges, I began to question the service and the charges. Here are the facts... 1. A single service tech worked on the vehicle 2. From the drop off time to the call to me communicating the service was done was 8hrs 45min. I was charged 8.3 hours in labor, or $1,100. Therefore, the service tech did not take a break the entire day! 3. I was charged 3.5hrs in labor to change the microswitch in the driver's side front door. There are three screws that hold on the door panel that grants access to the handle and switch. The total charge to repair the door was approximately $600! 4. The mass air flow sensor, which is easily accessible and held on by two bolts took 1.5hrs of labor. Additionally, I can buy the sensor for $60 directly from GM, yet I was charged $146 for the sensor or 143% more than the direct purchase cost. 5. A front wheel bearing had gone bad, causing the ABS / Traction Control / All-Wheel Drive service lights to come on. Approximately $200 for a new bearing and 2.6hrs in labor. 6. I was changed approximately $100 for the oil change and tire rotation. My conclusion is this...I was grossly overcharged for the repairs. I sought out the sales manager who connected me to Drew Hoselton who ultimately had the service manager, Wayne, contact me to let me know I was charged flat rates and that the dealership was unwilling to make any concessions. Hoselton's mission statement claims they are a fair and ethical company with integrity as one of the key pillars in their core values. I bought a car from Hoselton in good faith...yes, a USED car. After driving the vehicle only 4,000 miles, I thought it best to take the vehicle back to the dealership from where it was purchased, as I believed doing so maximized the PROBABILITY of fair treatment. Instead, the dealership has elected to hide behind the "non-published" flat rate labor guide and charge me for virtually EVERY SINGLE second that the car was in their possession while marking up the parts 150%. I'm only a single customer and my decision to never return will not damage their business. However, with today's means of communicating (blogs, social media, Yelp, etc...) these practices will eventually catch up with Hoselton and I will play my part in sharing my experience. read more

So I had the first problem ever with my 2017 Volt (I previously had a 2014 Volt). In five years of driving I've spent money on tires, electricity from Fairport electric, and maybe a couple hundred per year on gas while driving 15000 miles per year. Love the car. Anyway, I dropped it off here Saturday since it was the closest dealership, when the remote diagnosis via onstar reported it having an electrical issue and it wasn't operating properly. CAUTION -long winded sidetrack followed by long winded complaint... I didn't lease it from hoselton because they tried to rip me off on an advertised lease deal. One of those "that's only good on that stock number" offers, but I had gone the night before, located that stock number and went in asking for that car. They said it was sold and tried to get me in one of the same cars with no additional options for 250 more per month. So I would NEVER go back for any sale or lease. Back to the service. I'm still under warranty. They say they can't look at it until Monday and then don't bother calling Monday, but I finally reach them after a couple of tries in the mid afternoon and after arguing with the receptionist who said she couldn't find me in the system, then asking what day my appointment was. I told her I didn't have an appointment, I drove in. She said "well you have to have an appointment or I can't find you." I told her I didn't want to argue, can you just put me through to Dino. Dino says the car won't be ready until Tuesday, maybe Wednesday. I told him I thought my lease covered a loaner and he said he'd get me a rental. I get there, I get the rental. All is good. The next day I go to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity (great organization) and pop the tire on the rental, which had no spare and no jack. Disturbingly common these days. I spend most of the next few hours figuring out whether the dealership or I handles the emergency Roadside. The receptionist argued with me again when I told her I needed to talk to service about my loaner. She says they don't have loaners. I said, well you have my car and I have one of yours. She says well we do have rentals... I just about lost it. They finally tell me to use onstar, so I do and get on hold for 15 minutes and she patches me through to the dealership rental guy?? He takes care of sending a truck. Car gets towed. I finish my volunteer shift and get dropped off at the dealership. Dino, who otherwise seems nice, says the warranty will take care of the problem, though he still hasn't told me what the problem is 3 days later. He then tells me the tech suggests a cabin filter change for close to 100 bucks. It costs 10-15 and takes five minutes. The tech also suggests that both axles have brake service. This is what I hate about these places. I had the 24000 mile service done less than a year ago, which included the filter change. It's recommended every 36k. He later confirmed it was a recommendation just based on mileage. But when I said I wasn't having any issue with the brakes and that I hardly use them he flat out lied to me. To clarify, the Volt is an electric car (with a range extender in the form of a gas powered generator). The electric motor slows the car down and sends power back to the battery. I only use brakes for emergency stops and the last few feet. I use maximum regenerative braking the rest of the time. He tells me if the service isn't done the regen brakes won't work as well, and being a hybrid it could take me longer to slow down and effect other things...I can't remember all the B.S. but it was clear he didn't know what he was talking about. I pass on the 500 of recommended unnecessary services while I await the tire repair. The rental car guy finds me and tells me it'll be ready soon and it'll be about 250! That tire is available for 106-165 elsewhere. And it's not even my car! I have extras at home... Heck I got 4 snow tires for 400. Anyway, this is the second opportunity I've given hostealton chevy. It's also the last if they don't change their mind about the tire... I recommend you stay away. read more

I purchased my vehicle in November, just before Thanksgiving. Chevy Impala- Used with 31,000 miles for 19k after tax and title. Fine. I thought this "dealer" would be more reputable, but I guess not. I am furious I bought a car from this horrible company. Within the first two weeks of having the vehicle... my check engine light went on. Obviously I was not happy and I called and set up an appointment. This was covered because I hadn't even had the car for three weeks. At this time they told me I had access to a shuttle in order to get me to class. I asked three times if I would be able to be to my destination in time because I had a midterm for college. I arrived, dropped my car off... asked the mechanic (guy at the Chevy desk) about the shuttle, he said there was one on the way "approximately 6-8 minutes away". I said no problem and waited in the waiting area. Ten minutes goes by... no shuttle. I walk to the service desk in the waiting area... the woman says "let me call them" *calls two drivers* then says "the closest shuttle is about fifteen minutes away" WOW. I cannot play this game. I ended up storming off in my vehicle because they screwed me around for over a half hour and made me LATE to my midterm. My professor was not empathetic. If they would've been straight with me and not lied in my face from the jump, it would've been way better. But instead I went through three people telling me I would have ample time and did not. I also called afterwords because I was pissed and nothing was done by the "manager" not even an apology. Okay, scumbag. I had to set up a new appointment and come in again for my check engine light on my 20k new purchase and they said it was nothing serious and the light went off. Moving on to having the car for five months... FIVE. Buying an almost $20,000 vehicle from a "reputable dealer" I say that as loose as I can... and on my way home from work in March I turned my car on and it said I was on E and the lights in the dash and in the center console were black. My touch screen wasn't on, my heat didn't work... NOTHING. But the car drove. I turned it on and off a few times... nothing changed. I decided to drive it because it was midnight (I work nights) on 390 to get home. I was going 60 mph and my speed read 0 and it still said I was on empty even though I filled the tank the day before. NONE of my controls worked and the vents were off. Safety notices kept going nuts in between the speed and gas meter. I was terrified. My car was almost turning itself on and off my whole ride home. I called immediately in the morning... took my car in and they told me 1. It was a computer issue and it would be over $100 for them to TELL ME WHATS WRONG WITH IT and 2. It's "not covered" and if it was a sensor issue/computer problem it could cost me around $2,000 out of pocket. Excuse me but ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS!? You're going to tell me after I spent 19k on a "TRUSTED" vehicle dealer that you are not responsible for a severe issue five months after purchasing the car. You think I'm going to shell out $2,000 MORE!? I haven't had the car a year. Or EVEN SIX MONTHS. I saw online there was a six month policy in which the dealer is responsible but apparently that is not upheld? You guys are the absolute worst company I have ever purchased a vehicle through. The worst service I've ever received at this Chevy dealers service department. Went for an inspection and oil change on my 2015 Chevy Traverse. They failed our vehicle for the window tint, which we passed last year with them with no issues. Was told they didn't even use the tool to determine the % of tint, so they just failed us by the service guys own point of view and would do nothing except charge $100 to remove it. Even spoke to the manager and was basically told oh well, he'll tell his service guy to use the tool next time. Completely unprofessional and a waste of our time. I recommend finding a place that actually cares about its customers & at the very least offers an apology for not doing the job correctly and provide us a resolution. read more

Having worked in the parts and service department of a major car dealership for four years I am a bit of an annoying snob when it comes to car dealers fixing my vehicle. I had a broken trim piece on my 8-month old Volt and I went in to order the part which was obviously under warranty. I was brought to service where they told me to wait until the piece came in, at which point they would contact me to make an appointment. I waited a little over a week before calling back and apparently they had gone ahead and made me an appointment without telling me and then somehow told me I scheduled it. Pretty hard to schedule an appointment without the piece I needed. Oh well, I can understand a mix-up but blaming it on the customer is pretty hilariously bad customer service. They get 1 star for gooey chocolate chip cookies free in the waiting room, and my issues was fixed within 24 hours once they realized they made an error. I can't be too upset but I guess I have to keep giving them my business since I only live a few miles away. read more

Hello, I just really need to get something said and off my chest. My whole experience from start to now has made me feel so unheard and very low as a person. As a consumer, who was looking for a car the same day my first car ever died; I felt nothing but pressure. I dealt with Robert, he seemed genuinely professional but he couldn't remember what was coming and going. There's was a lot of blank spaces. I wanted to look at a variety of cars, I ended up getting the Chevy Cruze. When I signed all my paperwork, they said the car would be ready THAT night; we'll it wasn't. They said okay come back tomorrow, it'll be ready first thing in the morning... 11am rolls around, I show up, and guess what? Still not ready. they said oh I don't know why anyone would say that, as the finance guy, Robert and another guy from used all said yep it'll be ready first thing in the morning. So I wait a few more hours, around 2pm hits, they said okay it's gonna be ready in about an hour, I thought FINALLY! nope, half hour goes by and now they need to drive to canadaguia to fix the LEAN. They said all of this was already handled when I signed for the car, so now the lean wasn't even corrected? So they sent some guy, and the office there screwed it up, he had to drive back a second time. Another 2-3 hours go by, it's nearing 5pm, Finally, it's ready to go, but I'm signing paperwork and to be honest my patience is very worn. Robert didn't have the correct paperwork, he didn't have my trade in marked off my paperwork, he had me under NISSAN and not CHEVY. I said dude, if this isn't fixed I'm getting my money back and bouncing, he simply said " maybe you should " with an attitude and walked away. SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL. the finance guy mike comes to me and fixes everything and proceeds to help me with paperwork, I'm in tears and beyond upset. This isn't how I should feel at this moment, I mean I just got a new car! I should be happy! So, they fix the plates and I'm driving off; not even half a mile down the road, I notice there's a CRACK in my windshield. A CRACK. I turn around and demand to speak to someone because I just spent 2 whole days at this place with the worst service, and now my new car HAS A CRACK. IT WAS NOT IN MY POSSESSION MORE THAN 2 MINUTES. they say, oh no big deal, we'll just have someone fix it. Well it is a big deal, despite the experience I've already had. moving on, it's fixed. About a few weeks go by and my car is good; until last Thursday. My car stalls and shakes on the highway. I'm freaking out. I call the next morning, they don't believe it was shaking. I bring it in, the used sales guy sat in my car 2 seconds and was like I stand corrected. Like yeah no shit. they take it over to the service center, they said it's just spark plugs and Matt said it'll be done no problem. A few hours go by, he confirms it'll be done soon and I'm like okay I'll just swing over and wait. When I get there, I'm told my car isn't done, and it won't be done until Monday. WHAT?! I just drove 25 mins out here to be told that my car isn't even close to being done and is getting sent to Chevy. Again I'm in tears from the stress and attitudes I received, words cannot express that, but I asked okay can I have a loaner? I have a business event this weekend, I got 3 no's until I got told they had a car for me. Today comes, I get a call this morning from dawn, and she said my car would be ready today for pickup, well come 3pm and she calls again saying it won't be done today. I'm so sick of this. I want some kind of resolution because this has been a total fucking nightmare. read more

I bought a 2013 Malibu in September in 2013 from Hoselton. In Dec of 2016 brought the car in with 65000 miles on it. The parking break stopped working at 39000. The dealer found I needed rear wheel bearings that cost me approx $925. At 65000 miles!!!! When I tried to tell the repair person that I bought the car in the building next door. He played dumb as to disassociating the service from the sales department. I guess I don't blame him as I was sold a piece of Junk. My real beef is with GM. This was my third new car purchase from Hoselton in my life. No more GM products for me and my Dad worked at Rochester Products for 30 years. Oh BTW, Hoselton couldn't even get matching hardware on the front license plate when I picked up the car in Sept of 2013 as a new purchase. Hoselton can win my business back if I am refunded my $925 for the defective bearings that GM sold me in Sept of 2013. Not a credit but a refund. So sad too bad, I bought it and it's problems are no longer the interest of their illustrious sales team. Toyota takes care of a customer for life and does not turn their back on them. I came to Hoselton Chevrolet to lease my first car and I couldn't be happier. I was initially apprehensive about the process but David made everything so easy and he was constantly reassuring me along the way, answering any questions that I had. David was not only patient with me as I asked to test drive several cars, but he was also very professional. Not to mention, he worked outside of his regular work schedule to stay with me throughout the process. I was in and out with my new 2018 Chevy Equinox the same day, which was super convenient since I live in Buffalo and was only in town for the weekend. I came to hoselton Last week with the intentions of turning in my lease early and getting into a new one with your 4th of July sale going on. I met with Kate O'Neil and we had came to an agreement on an AWD trax for $299/month. I paid my down payment of $100 that day and had plans to pick it up the following Tuesday (7/9) at 2pm. Tuesday rolls around and I get to work at 7am, they send me home with a fever. I texted Kate around the same time asking her if I could pick up my car any earlier because I live close to geneseo with my boyfriend which Is about a 40 minute drive and I did not want to have to stay at my parents house all day in fairport when i wasn't feeling well I just wanted to be in my own space ya know? She read the message almost 5 minutes later but didn't actually respond until about 11:30 am so I just ended up going to my parents house. I got a call from Jon in the financial department around 10:30 telling me that my payment would now be going up to $340 a month instead of $299 because I was a tier 3 in regards to my credit. When Kate had assured me that I was tier 2 and that they WOULD NOT check my credit again because I did not give them permission to do so. So hearing this I was very upset because I was not willing to spend that much money a month and I would not have agreed on the car or put the down payment on it if it had been that much. Me being upset I came over to hoselton to talk with someone. I have worked in customer service since I got my first job and I know how it feels to be the one on the other side being yelled at for doing something wrong so I tried my best to hold it together and be calm and understanding as the non confrontational person that I am. I went over to the front desk and I think I spoke with Jacob. He was very nice and helped me when I told him about what happened. He took care of everything for me and brought me back down to $299/month for my car payment. I was told that my car was being inspected and it would only be about an hour so I decided to wait in the waiting area. Around 12:45 now I went back up to the desk for a time check and they said it was still being inspected and they were waiting for my insurance company to send over the paperwork so I offered to call them myself. They gave me a paper with a few numbers on it to tell the insurance company. I looked it over and realized that the car that was on that piece of paper was not my car that I was buying. So I went back up again...to correct them to make sure I got what I was coming there for. They fixed it no big deal. Insurance sent over, car is just being inspected now and then good to go, great. I'm waiting and now Kate, my sales person shows up. She lets me know that even though I got there early, it would still be until 2pm before I could pick up my car. I'm a little frustrated at this point because I got there at 11:30 but ya know maybe they are busy so okay cool I'll just wait till 2. Kate walks by a few times within that next hour assuring me that "it'll be done soon" or that "it's almost done". 2:15 rolls around, I have an appointment at 3. So I yet again, go up to the desk asking for a time check on my car (nicely by the way) Jacob says no problem, let me call Kate and find out and I'm like okay cool. Kate comes over, in a very nasty tone explains that she knew I got there early but that didn't matter because my appointment was at 2 to pick it up and that there was nothing that she could do about it being held up. She walked away without me even being able to say a word. By this point I was ready to leave, I was ready to cancel everything, you all lost my business. She comes back in acting like everything was great no problems and then asks me if I could come in TOMORROW. Like I haven't already been there all day long while I'm sick! No I can't come in tomorrow. So i ended up having to leave and come back after my doctors appointment to pick it up 2 hours later than the scheduled time and 4.5 hours after I got there! Anyways, I'm happy with my car however I am extremely disappointed in the service that I received. This will be the last vehicle that I purchase from hoselton and I will not be going in for services there either. If you want customers to come back you should have more professional staff members working there. read more

I recently purchased a new 2016 Silverado from Zach Smith at Hoselton Chevrolet, the sales process was seamless and he was very professional. The vehicle was purchased right before the holidays and he made sure that everything was done so that it could be delivered right after Christmas weekend. A small issue arose after taking delivery of the vehicle and the sales team as well as customer relations and other management were there to handle the situation in a very professional manner. I am a repeat customer because I feel that Hoselton, not only Chevrolet, but all of their stores have a great customer service model and always put the customer first. Once again Hoselton has surpassed our expectations. No pressure sales and no surprises. We bought a 2016 Tahoe to go along with our 2015 Tahoe, which was also purchased at Hoselton. We stopped to have our 2015 inspected and oil changed and wanted to see if we could afford another and sure enough Thomas Phommanirat got us the payment we wanted. He is an awesome salesman no pressure and very knowledgeable. We drive 1 1/2 hours from Buffalo to purchase from Hoselton because we couldn't find a dealership here that would fulfill our requests and stay within our budget. If you are looking to purchase a new vehicle you have to see Thomas or Justin, you won't be disappointed. read more

Could not find the problem with a/c stop blowing and then restarting. Shuttle service is nice, but the driver needs to be a little more friendly and not act upset because where you need to be dropped off, and then tell you they don't see it possible to pick you backup. He also needs to SLOW DOWN! Driving speeds of 75 is not acceptable when you are transporting customers. read more

Brought in my Chevy Tahoe for basically a 50,000 mile checkup. Did typical oil change as well as tire rotation, Brakes, rotors, differentials, etc. I also had a clunking noise that they were able to diagnose right away and had the parts to fix. (Broken sway bar). The service was completed in less than a work day and I had my car back before 4 pm. Paul was great at walking me through the service that was going to happen that day as well as calling me with the sway bar problem. Spent time with Internet sales texting and made an appointment to look at used truck yesterday, Aaron the Manager called me to confirm I am coming, I told him yes and please have it ready because time is limited and 30 minute drive and also if you can have couple other options in mind with price I am looking at, Me and my son get there, Walk in to a messy , dirty office. First sales rep can't help me because he said does not have a mask, Gives me to another Rep, has no idea why i am there, looks me up in system and sees the vehicle I am here to test drive, Tells me be right back, I am waiting in this place for 30 minutes just me and my son only and nobody else. I am now getting aggravating and as i look around I see couple keys of vehicles just laying around, most importantly I see peoples paper work of sales, there copy of driver license , social security number,EVERYTHING, piles of it sitting there in front of me. I take a sticky note and write, "been waiting to long here and I am leaving, will be next door at chevy if you happen to come back and find the truck give me a call and left my cell", As me and my son get ready to pull out vehicle pulls in-front of me and it's that guy that talked to me 35 minutes ago, Tells me looked all over the lot and can't find the truck, I told him waste of my time and left you a note on your screen. I just bought a used car from the auto mall and it was the worst experience ever. The sales person was nice but now that I've tried to reach out to him in a emails Ive gotten no response. They didn't even clean the car up there was a half a tank a gas and I had to put a full gallon washer fluid in it . It's shame that when u buy cars today your just a number. They get your money and then they don't know u It's definitely not like it was years ago. I've bought 4 vehicle from them too. I don't think I will be buying anything else from them again. It's just a shame that there sweet and nice when your there and then after they dont care. read more

I purchased a Volvo from hoselton a little over a year ago and at 1st it looked like a nice cleaning car. Seemed to rid ok I did notice it had a oil leak that I was assured they had fixed. Well they did not and I have had nothing but problems with this car. I paid them top dollar and I have already spent over 3k servicing this car in the 1st year and it will need many more repairs to keep it going. I'm a taken back that a supposedly reputable dealer like hoselton is selling these older used cars that are junk. The Volvo never should have passed nys inspection as the rotors are warped and pulsate at highway speeds. The check engine light came on within the 1st few months. After 3 months I replaced both rear wheel bearings. I've had constant oil leaks. My fender is rotted out the underside of this car is all rotted away. Looks like it sat in a salt bath. The exhaust is all rusty. Brake lines rusty. Their service department is a joke. They are theifs who are charging astronomical prices and do not stand behind their vehicles. I would go anywhere else before I went to hoselton again. It's a shame because I thought they were a good company but if you rear many other reviews on here its apparent they are not. Also to top things off their finance department are lying incompetent theifs. They had me waiting for over 2 hours to sign the papers. When I finally complained to the manager about what was taking so long their response was the papers have been ready to sign for over a hour and the finance idiot never told us. Also I have over a 800 credit score with perfect credit history. This schmuck gives me a 7% interest rate. The next day I refinanced with advantage federal credit union for 2.97%. Which is what a 800 credit score should get. I'm sure my rate was that but these theifs had to add on 4 percentage points to get their kickback. BE WARNED DO NOT GO TO HOSELTON FOR ANYTHING read more
