Very friendly people, work was quick. However, instead of offering me a new engine air filter, they took mine out and manipulated me into buying a new one, which was pretty scummy. I get it's their job to try and sell people car parts, but they took advantage of the fact that I don't know much about cars. read more

I thought I already did this but here I go again! This shop on Rt 250 near 441 is a good shop but has little space for lining up to be serviced. The day I went 2 cars were inside and I was #5 so I planned to wait a while. It was pouring rain, yet, a worker came out to acknowledge everyone and then make sure we were taken in order. In that rain I was impressed to see them go to each car and direct them where to go. I had a coupon and they took my new info down while another mechanic started working. They are very efficient there and I like sitting in my car while they work rather then going into a crowded waiting room! I didn't check the time but they are quick. They clock the time but I forgot to look myself. I marked them 4 because there is a short driveway into a small lot going in and that would also be where you need to go to leave. Only 1 lane width. Friendly employees and very professional. I was impressed with the teamwork, and the double checking of work done. (I had requested an oil change and had my air filter replaced). They also checked my lights, tire pressure, and other fluid levels. I have only one negative, and it has nothing to do with the employees or service, it is the cramped parking area. It was tight maneuvering my Volvo war wagon in there with other customers waiting. This was my first time there, and won't be my last. Definitely recommend! read more

Love hate relationship with this store. Generally they do a good quick oil change. Went in this time for a N.Y. State inspection and things went well. Pretty quick. Arrived early in the am for an inspection on my truck. I had been to this location previously and always had the same friendly helpful manager.Different people working this time. When I arrived I was asked to return 45 minutes later since they were only allowed to have 2 cars waiting for inspection in their lot. I happily agreed. Returned later only to have another guy tell me that my truck (which they have inspected there before) was not going to fit and they couldn't do the inspection. I told him I had been inspected at that location previously and he said that was before they had to lift the whole vehicle. So I took a chance and drove 10 more minutes to another Valvoline location, where a nice helpful man apologized for the other location and said he could get me in today. I had a little wait, which I was prepared for, but my inspection will be done. read more

Lack of communication and preparation. I asked before any work was completed if they had OW 16 available? They stated yes. After draining my oil...found out they had 2 quarts....the manager wanted to put 5w-40 in the car. I know it's the exact same oil but 16 has low viscosity elements with benificial performance reasons. This is the exact oil recommended for the car. I suggested he obtain locally. It's been 45 min. This delay caused a tremendous backlog of cars and customers who left because of the weight. Had they told me they did not have enough before they drained the car, I would have come back. They lost 4 customers while I was here. I have 38 years in the customer service business. Instead of me getting upset I would love to spend 1 hour with this team and educate them on how to avoid these type of situations. It is a good crew...just need a little help. read more

Got our car serviced here in June and five hundred miles in it has been running really hit. Check the coolant reservoir and it is bone dry. It was supposedly flushed and refilled. No leak in the system either. I would recommend that you do not frequent this business. read more

My battery was dead in the parking lot of this place. Rob, the manager, came out after seeing me try unsuccessfully to jump it. He started it with a booster. I brought it into their shop for an oil change and they replaced my battery. Rob and Constance and the team gave me the BEST possible service I've ever received from an auto shop, with very good prices. I've never written a review before, but had to write this one. I had Tim the manager and Tywan the ASM who were both lovely and professional! I did a conventional oil change but they also check lights brake lights and wiper fluids which is great. Tim recommended some things but in no way was pushy and very informative. I did not add any services to mine and they were totally fine with that and gave me a print out of what is recommended, how much it is and even how much time it would add! Great trip:) read more

I went in for a routine oil change. Apparently, one of my tag lights was out, so when this was brought to my attention I agreed to get a new tag light put in. Shortly there after, the technician came up to me and said he could not replace the bad bulb because they do not carry LED lights. Fair enough. I went to Autozone to get the correct lights to do myself and when I opened it up, to my surprise, they were incandescent and neither of the two were working. I replaced both, still not working. I went back to Valvoline to figure out why I was told I had LEDs. It's very easy to tell the difference between the two and that should not be a mistake a service center is making. When I told him one was working when I got there, he tried to tell me he thought I only had one light back there. Basically, the guy was just lying to my face and playing dumb. I will never return to get my car serviced here, even for a basic oil change. read more

Came in to get an oil change and tires rotated. The guys here are very friendly and got me in right away. I normally take my car to the dealer but they only had appointments 2 weeks out and I'd have to leave my car. This was very fast and yea I paid a little more but it was well worth it !!! If you need an oil change, tire rotation, safety inspection, or anything like that, that is the place to go. The team working there is knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. They treat you with respect and don't pressure you into upsells, but do inform you of what you might need, when, and why. Great service yesterday! When i arrived there was no wait, the bay door opened immediately and i was summoned in. I requested an oil change and the attendant suggested an oil type and the work began. A safety inspection of lights was completed first and the attendant was very curteous and professional. He recommended some add-on services which were ACTUALLY recommeded in my manual, but i declined. The attendant was accepting of my refusal and did not become pushy or rude. Instead, he offerred those services on a return trip or at any time i wished. I did get a new air filter and wipers at a fair price. When my service was completed, the attendant asked for coupons which i did not have, so he gave me a "managers" discount. Awesome! On my way out, he noticed my inspection was due, offered to have that done, but i declined. Again, he was accepting of my decision and offerred the service on my return trip. Great experience! DO NOT go here for inspection. They rip you off and tell you that your window wipers need to be replaced or they will not pass your vehicle. They did this to my 60 year old mother who had just replaced the wipers a few months ago. They do this to upsell and make money from selling you wipers. They did not even show her the wipers just bullied her into buying them saying that is she left and bought them for $6 a piece instead of their $25 set that they would charge her twice for the inspection. My father called up to the manager and he was rude. He also wrote to Valvoline and they never responded. This location and other Valvolines are constantly telling people that their wipers will cause vehicle to fail inspection. Horrible company and employees that should be ashamed and should quit/go out of business. read more

Great service from this location. I use to get my oil changes (Kia Sedona) from the dealer bc they were free but our second Kia Sedona didn't come with fee oil changes. I didn't want to make an appnt with our regular mechanic and have to wait so I popped over to Valvoline on a Tues morning and the wait was very brief. The guy who seemed to be in charge (Scott?) was very friendly and thorough. His team was great. He offered me a discount ($15 off) to try a higher grade oil (synthetic) and coupons for next visit. It is more expensive than other garages but the convenience of a speedy oil change versus having to sit and wait is important to me. So while $48 for an oil and filter change, (fluid top-off, tire pressure, belt and battery check) may sound expensive, the convenience made it worth it to me. read more
