Stay away from this company. I used Hoskins for some rodent exclusion work and was coerced into signing a 1-year warranty with them I did not need or want. They refused to do the exclusion work I needed unless I purchased the 1-year warranty. I was in the process of selling this property. I sold the property in January of 2022 and told Hoskins I would no longer be needing any of their services. Then in August of 2023, I started getting billed from Purcor for Exclusion Renewal - recurring. I have contacted them and they refuse to release me from a contract I do not have with them. I filed a complaint with the BBB. They agreed to release me from the contract and reverse all charges. Well they lied, They continue to bill me $180.00 for a yearly renewal fee for a contract I do not have with them!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!! read more

Hoskins sales rep scammed us out of $900. After three attempts, we have not received a callback from anyone at Hoskins even after being told that our request to speak to someone was shared with two local managers and one district manager. Called Hoskins because I had a black spot developing on the ceiling (dry wall). Hoskins sales rep went up into the space and said it was a dead rat that was decomposing into the drywall. Hoskins sales rep also said there were many rats crawling all over the place while he was up there. "A couple of them even waived at me as they ran around." When I asked the sales rep if they could set traps and get rid of the rats, he replied: not without signing a contract to plug any holes that may exist have weekly visits until all the rats were gone. He further added Hoskins simply doesn't just catch and dispose of rats, they have to sell you this service. I purchased the service and a year of maintenance for around $900. Hoskin's service rep came out every couple of days to set & reset traps. However, they never caught a single rodent and the traps where never tripped after at least a few weeks. Service rep commented that there were absolutely zero signs of rats or other rodents. Then, we found out from the drywall repair rep that black spot in the sealing was mold from condensation on a air duct damaged when a electrician was in the space - I have pictures of this and the drywall repair rep will back this up read more

we cancelled service on 5/2022 when advised that Hoskins Pest Control had sold out to Purcor Pest Control. We paid our regular pest sprayer the last fee of $85.00 on the last day of service as we have done regularly for 7 years. After noticing that our check to Hoskins had not been cashed, we called now Purcor in Venice, Fl. to inquire about our payment. The lady answering the phone told us that our spray person had not turned in the check and we would need to wait awhile until he did! Well,apparently this never happened and without contacting us to inform us that the payment was still outstanding they sent the bill to a collection agency for $95.20!!! The nerve!!! I would never use this company if Godzilla himself took up residence in my home!!! After calling Purcor twice, they say it was a mistake and will have the manager call! Hoskins Pest Control is no longer Hoskin's . It is Purcor Pest Solutions ! I had Hoskins for 30 some years. Howard was wonderful and honest. When he sold to Purcor everything went to hell. They would say someone came out but t he guy never showed. No phone calls, nothing. They tried to charge me many times for nothing ! I stopped u sing them. They said I owed them $36 For What ! I always paid on the day of service but they say I still owe them. Funny that the price is $36.00 and my amount when they came every other month was 42 ! They have now sent me to collections ! I have been using PURCOR (Hoskins) for a few years. Apparently I missed a payment in February this year for their services. (I spent time in the hospital in February with COVID) I then had services in May and August. Both of which I paid. (Having been a customer for a number of years you would think they would see my payment record and realize I missed a payment unintentionally) Apparently they do not list amounts you have not paid so I never knew I still owed them money. Today I got a notice from a debt collector about the amount I owed. I talked to PURCOR and found out the payment I missed was for February. I paid the debt over the phone. Seems like back amounts owed would show up on your next bills instead of hiding them until they go to collection. I've never had a debt collection letter so this is a first. How about a simple phone call or email? I cancelled their service prior to this incident because the pricing went through the roof. Since I see how this corporation handles its customers, I'm glad I no longer use their services. I would not recommend this company at this time. read more

We've used Hoskins Pest Control for insect management. The technician comes and sprays "something" around the exterior of the house but we still have insects in the house and inside the pool cage. When I refused to pay the bill the last time until they spray properly, the company said they will just send it to collections. read more

Do NOT use this company. We have had bats in our house, not just the attic, but our living area, for three weeks. Paid them $725.00 to address the problem and trapped another bat tonight. I've asked 3 times for management to call me and had to threaten to bring the next live bat to their office and let it go, to get their attention. Tomorrow they are getting a live bat in their office. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

I regret to say that I cancelled my quarterly contract today. Service recently took a nose dive. I received an invoice for service but I did not get a phone call before they came, they did not leave a flag in the ground (which I think is a regulation) and not so much as a door hanger. I have no way to know that anyone came to my house. In the past, the technician always called to see if there was anything special to address other than just the usual exterior spraying. As it turns out, there was additional service needed this quarter. I requested a manager call me back to discuss this incident. That did not happen. I called to tell them that and set up an appointment to be the first service call of the say. That did not happen. They said I was the first call and gave me a window of 8-12. By 8:45 no one was there so I called and asked to get an ETA. At 9:15 still nothing. It is regretful after a couple of years of great service but I work away from home and I have to have dependable service providers. Not sure if the fact that the original Mr. Hoskins retired a year or so ago, but not the same service as before. They made very little effort to retain my business so guess that says it all. read more

Don't waste your time, after 5 1/2 months I still have the same problem....I was told over and over it just takes time....I get that ...but....think by now they should have resolved my "issue" after multiple visits. Excellent Service!! I would like to thank Howard & Todd from Hoskins Pest Control. I had a horrible ant problem on a Friday afternoon after 5 pm when most places were closed for the weekend. I rang Hoskins left a voicemail explaining my problem. Within 20 minutes I received a most courteous call from Todd. He addressed and alleviated my terrifying concerns. Todd sent a technician to my home in 15 minutes. The gentleman that arrived was the owner Howard. I was so delighted and relieved seeing him promptly on time. Laughing now, Howard saw my terrified state and assured me he would immediately care of the problem. He said he would return the following morning and add additional treatments. Howard was very polite, tidied the entire area and took his time explaining whilst keeping me calm. It is so wonderful to experience such excellent customer service and overall professionalism. I used Hoskins for servicing an entire apartment community. During the time they were here, they never prevented pests from coming in. They went into apartments they were instructed not to enter. When we had ant mounds throughout the grounds, they were asked to take care of them. Yet, a month after the treatment, I was attacked by ants after standing in the grass for less than a minute. In addition to their incompetence, the seriously lack professionalism. They were scheduled to do a flea treatment in an apartment home, and never showed up. When I called them to see when they would be here, I was told "You're really too far away for us to do a one-time treatment. You should call someone else." Wow! read more
