My mother was on their services 2 years ago and had a very caring team caring for her. Her nurse…read morewas very helpful in supporting my dad and keeping him educated on Mom's condition. The aide she started with was excellent but then they seemed to send someone different each time. The disappointment came when Mom was actively dying. When the staff should have noticed that she was unable to swallow, no accommodations were made to order sublingual meds. We were still trying to crush meds and somehow give to her without her choking. Finally had to call her dr ourselves to get morphine liquid to give sublingual. As a hospice nurse myself living out of state, I am stunned how they dropped the ball. Once the patient is actively dying is too late to be scrambling for comfort meds. Need to think proactively! !! I hope no other family has to experience this lack of organization when they're already dealing with losing a loved one. Would never recommend them. Maybe they need more competition so they have to try harder.
