Upon my arrival, the ER staff was amazing in taking care of me and my needs. I was placed into Med Surg Floor 5 of Del Sol in preparation for a surgical procedure. Immediately the nurses made sure I was comfortable, and were diligent in making sure I was ok, as they knew I was nervous for the surgical procedure that laid ahead. Michael RN was the first nurse to care for me and he was amazing, professional, humorous, and kind. He made extra sure I was ok, and all my questions were answered. Amber CNA was absolutely amazing, she went above and beyond, and I enjoyed having her come to my room just to check vitals (as anyone who has been in a hospital I'm sure this part of the process is bothersome) but she was absolutely amazing in the way she cared for people and her job. Eyleen RN was the second nurse I had for the evening and she made sure my father in law who was staying with me was also comfortable, as I was pretty much out of it in the evening time, she not only cared for me, but my guest. Patrick RN was like a brother, he came in to the room, and it immediately felt like I was home talking with my brothers joking, conversing, and making light of a pretty bad situation, all the while making sure I was comfortable, and taken care of. Last but not least, Carlos RN, he was the last one to care for me before heading home, and he did all he could to make sure we got home when the doctor said we could, he was kind, and just like Patrick, felt like family. I can't speak on behalf of any other wards in the hospital but what I experienced in Med/Surg was, even though a terrible situation, was wholesome, comforting, and an experience I won't likely forget, including the amazing Nurses, and CNA's that cared for me. Michael, Eyleen, Amber, Patrick, and Carlos, thank you for all you did for me and my family, I will carry all of you in my heart for life.
