Deep fried waffle oh so good!
Michael B.

Just found this little gem today. Great brunch!!!! Really fresh and delicious. We had the classic breakfast (Should have taken a pic but I dived in immediately) mine with sausage and they were great, hard to find good sausages at a restaurant. Also comes with salad which is a great touch. The potatoes are wonderful cooked perfectly Can't say enough about this breakfast. We shared a deep fried waffle with strawberries, banana, grapes, ice cream and whipped cream. This you have to have! Insanely good! This is now my go to breakfast spot! The sandwiches look great so I'll be there for lunch soon also. Seriously get there and eat eat eat!

Chicken basil & pesto crepe, seafood chowder and latte

Visited on a whim while waiting for my car to be worked on. Very cute little cafe tucked in behind the thrift store! Very friendly staff, food was amazing and served in a timely manner despite it being extremely busy. I had the chicken basil & pesto crepe, seafood soup and latte. Everything was very tasty and extremely well priced. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Turkish Coffee!

We made our way to this warm and friendly mom & pop restaurant when I was was visiting friends in Canada. I'm so glad we decided to venture to this little gem. Yes, a gem it was! First, I love supporting local establishments but more importantly when the service and food are excellent. Everything is made fresh to order and our party of three enjoyed all of our ordered items. All the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The crepe portions are generous too. Truly a labor of love. The owner was super friendly and helpful with suggestions when we were unsure what to order. We all ordered savory crepes but can't wait to go back to also try their dessert crepes. Also, the cafe space is open and inviting. They have a living room setting near the back which was cool to see. They also have plenty of tables and chairs. If this Hot & Toasty Cafe was in Atlanta where I live they would have a line out the door. Keep up the good work. The love for good food and passion for good service is definitely the foundation of this establishment.

We were in the area and decided to come here on a whim. We hit the jackpot because it was apparently the first day this little cute cafe opened (maybe from owner change or renovations?). They gave us some complimentary shortbread cookies once we sat down! We ordered the chicken pesto panini ($7.50), egg turkey cheese crepe ($7.50), and banana strawberry Nutella crepe ($8.50). Each dish came with some fresh fruits and it complimented the plates very well. I highly recommend the crepes as they were our favourites! Nice thin layer of batter with an abundance of ingredients inside. The eggs in the egg turkey cheese crepe were also very fluffy! Such a sweet place with lovely service! We loved it.

Turkish Coffee...is soo good

We went on Yelp today to find a good brunch spot in Langley and saw this little Cafe with great reviews and decided to try it out! We were lucky to get a table as it was pretty busy and they had some reservations coming in! I would definitely make a reservation next time we come! As we walked in we knew it was going to be good from the aroma in the restaurant. The menu is simple but as the owner shared with us as he explained the menu all the ingredients were of the best quality! We ordered a Chicken Pesto Panini...super yummy...and a Choco Strawberry Crêpe with Whipped Cream...both were absolutely delicious! For all of the savoury crepes you can have them on a panini or a crepe which is a great idea! The Turkish Coffee is so fun and so good! Love the little pot that it came in and the flavours were so robust yet smooth. I usually take cream in my coffee but the owner explained to me the coffee process and convinced me to try without before I added any cream...I am so glad he did because it was authentic and delicious. As the owner was bustling about the cafe interacting with all of the customers, talking and laughing and serving the food his wife (I am assuming here) was behind the grill. She cooked with such calmness, grace and efficiency...was fascinating to watch! Love this little gem in Langley!! My daughter and I plan to go back to try The Mediterranean Breakfast for Two. Would highly recommend this place...all of the customers in the restaurant were fully enjoying the food and the funny and friendly service...such a treat!

We were looking for breakfast place in Langley and came across this little cafe . I got an omelette wrapped in a crepe and my wife got the Chicken pesto panini. Its not the cheapest place around, but the food was very good, nothing complicated just clean honest food. Turkish coffee was the best I ever had.

Take-away/eat-in-the-car! We miss eating with the owners, but it was still really lovely to see them when we picked up our crepes today. They also use cardboard clamshells rather than styrofoam and biodegradable cutlery for take away! We'd brought our own silverware from home and ate in the car in the sunshine, looking on at the restaurant! Ha ha!

Banana & strawberry crepe with Nutella and whip cream!

I came across this cafe by searching up breakfast spots on Yelp, and decided to give it a shot on a whim with my friend. Boy, they did not disappoint! Everything was made fresh, and the gentleman who worked at the front was the nicest fellow ever! My friend and I each ordered a crepe, a sweet one and a savory one. She got the banana and strawberries crepe with Nutella and whip cream, while I got the cheese and veggie crepe. Both of the crepes were absolutely amazing! I wish I had the appetite for a sweet crepe in addition to the savory crepe, cause my friend's looked soooo good! We ordered a tea and drip coffee to have with our crepes, and had we gone earlier on in the day we probably would have ordered the Turkish coffee. We were advised that it's very strong, so we didn't want to take any risks drinking it late in the afternoon. If this is your first time visiting old Langley, there's free 3 hour parking on the side streets near this area and then it's a short walk over. I'm definitely going to be bringing my friends here to try out more of the crepes!

Located in downtown Langley. Free 3 hour parking in the area. The inside is clean and spacious. Owner is very friendly and good with recommendations. Went with the breakfast combo which comes with a savoury and sweet crepe plus one coffee, good for sharing... just have to order one more drink for the other person. Food was fresh and portions were big. Enough food to fill up two people and didn't leave feeling sick or too full. Owner kept checking to see how everything was and open for comments and feedback. Steady traffic on a sunny day. Baby friendly restaurant too with one high chair. Will be back to try the Turkish coffee and Mediterranean items!

Club sandwich
Queena W.

Small mom and pop shop selling sandwiches and crepe. Owners are very frienslPrices are very reasonable at around $7 for a club sandwich. They gave us a small plate of pound cake before we even ordered which was really nice. For the crepes you can choose to have whipped cream or icecream on top. We opted for icecream and they gave us 3 scoops! One for each of us that were sharing. Will definitely come back.

Truly a hidden gem in Langley. Tucked away in Salt Lane, parking was a little hard to find but definitely worth the extra effort! Amazing service with great food and coffee to back it up. Unfortunately I didn't get to try the dessert crepes but I am definitely looking to come back very soon :) AMAZING FOR CUTE BRUNCH DATES !

Turkish coffee. Very good
David G.

Came here based on the yelp reviews. Great place. The crepes we had were fantastic. Tony had the breakfast combo with an egg ham and cheese. And that comes with a sweet crepe for desert so only order if your hungry. I had triple breakfast which is eggs ham turkey cheese tomato and spinach. . All was simple food made well. And the highlight was the Turkish coffee. The owner was also very friendly and helpful.

Mediterranean panini, chicken pesto panini, and the London fog
FoxyRoxyRae ..

Man oh man were my friend and I so glad to have tried this place out today!! After a workout and grocery shopping we decided we wanted to go have a quick lunch somewhere and Yelp recommended this place since it was in the area. At first i was going to try the hummus panini but unfortunately they ran out of hummus. The owner, Taly was happy to offer to make me something off the menu to cater to my needs since I am a vegetarian. He guaranteed me my satisfaction and let me tell you, he did not disappoint! He made me some sort of Mediterranean panini and it was indeed, "hot and toasty". This place definitely lives up to it's name. My friend got the chicken pesto panini and was also blown away by how great it tasted. In addition I got the London fog which was only about $4.50 I believe, but the portion size was very generous! It tasted light and sweet, better than anything I would get at Starbucks honestly. What makes this place so special is definitely the customer service. Taly is a great conversationalist and really made my friend and I feel comfortable and at home. He is great with recommendations, tending to customer needs, and open to constructive criticism (even though I really didn't have any to give because I fell in love with this little hidden gem of a cafe). This may sound a little weird but I really felt like a family member and like Taly could be like a father to me I would give this place a 20/10 just based on how excellent the customer service is. The bonus is that the food is cheap but definitely fresh and tasty!! I can certainly see myself coming back as a regular and going there to do some studying while I eat some delicious food. You best believe I'm coming back to try the hummus dishes! You will not be disappointed if you give this place a try Thank you Taly, for making our first experience at your cafe truly amazing!

It may be difficult to accommodate large groups, but if you come early, it should be okay. We were seated by the bar and we had a full view of the kitchen. It was nice to watch them make the crepes and prepare all the food. They have a few appetizers, savoury and sweet crepes, and quite a large cider selection. We both tried different ciders. I liked the scenic road razz. It was light and fruity. Tartare de boeuf- wagyu tartare, served with a beet puree and buckwheat crackers. It was tasty. I really liked the crunch on the buckwheat crackers. The tartare was seasoned well. Jambon blanc- savoury crepe with Parisian ham, cider onion jam, gruyere, and egg. Simple, but quality ingredients. It may look small, but it was quite filling. I enjoyed the buckwheat crepes as it added more flavour to the crepes. I do wish there was a bit more onions in this one. Overall, was very savoury and delicious. Saucisse- beef and pork sausage, bacon, red pepper relish, gruyere, and mustard aioli. This one was really filling. The sausage was quite large, flavourful, and not dry at all. The red pepper relish added some sweetness and brightness to the dish. The crepe went well with the mustard. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. It was nice to go to somewhere for brunch that was more unique than just the usual items for brunch. Service was great, especially since it was so busy. They were still attentive and quick. Prices are pretty good, considering portion and quality of ingredients. I'd recommend checking this place out. I know I'll be back to try their sweet crepes.

Way back in the day (96 to be specific) on my way to Africa, I did a stopover in London…read more I had managed to get a free pass on the brand new Eurostar train! I left London Waterloo International station (Eurostar later switched to St Pancras) at 6am while it was pitch dark & returned at night again in darkness! I mention this because I was not able to see the French country side (a real bummer) once Eurostar came out from under the Chunnel. So don't be a dumbo like me when next you're going on the Eurostar - travel during daylight hours! It was a one day pass so I ran around Paris like a wild crazy chicken being chased by a knife! Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame, beautiful cafés & streets et cetera the sights & sounds of Paris one never forgets! Trying to get directions in English from Frenchmen ... oh the joy! Not enough time at all in Paris - 8 hours flew by in a flash! One highlight was my introduction to crêpes via a food cart, just near the Eiffel Tower. Those buckwheat crêpes were damn expensive & as I walked away chomping down on them, I got to less than a 100 metres away before I turned around & went back for more - I kid you not!!! Bye bye to my remaining Francs (cash) but I was happy as can be my belly full! Best ever expensive crêpes!!! They had that certain - 'je ne sais quoi' taste! Paris crepes are the best!!! I ended up leaving Paris with nothing to show for ... no Gucci or LV t-shirt ... absolutely ziltch in clothing or souvenirs! Insert sad face here! But you guessed it, I've never ever forgotten those crêpes! Which leads me to the brand new - Ça Marche Crêperie @ Vancouver House. This is a concept crêperie & cider house by the owner of the magnifique - Au Comptoir (please see my review) on 4th Ave. Located on the north west side of the Granville Bridge at the base of Vancouver House = if you can see Vancouver House you'll find this Crêperie! This area is booming with lots of shiny newness - see the amazing architecture of Vancouver House where Ça Marche Crêperie is located just off the short Continental St. This is a small operation with limited seating, so perhaps settle for a 'grab N go' kinda vibe. I'm 100% here for the crêpes! The cider to be honest not so much. Never been a huge fan. The taste just hasn't won me over ... yet! However, that said I'm curious to try the conceptual concoctions that will be offered here! Hey maybe there's hope for me & I just might become a huge lover of cider yet!?! To the owners of this crêperie I plead & beg you not to hire little Johnny from the local high school to be in the kitchen making my crêpes!!! I swear if you go down this road you'll lose my support as my sense of taste will be shattered by crappie garbage crêpes! Look at what was once a local popular Crêperie downtown - they started hiring anyone with a heart beat! The crêpes got so bad even Aunt Jemima refused to pour her syrup on them!!! I can tell you it wasn't the pandemic that ruined it!!! I absolutely just love crêpes & I'm excited about this new crêperie! You can have crêpes with pretty much anything you want to add to them - so go ahead & experiment until you find your hearts content! Highly recommend getting a savoury buckwheat crêpe as a 'main dish' & then try a classic sweet crêpe for dessert - if you can handle it. Apparently the frites (fries) & dip are absolutely delightful - as told to me by someone who sat next to me at the bar. Oui monsieur ... hit me up one more time - here take all my Francs & my shirt! Merci!

Truthfully, I go for their crepes, but my friends are always bey happy with their other menu choices too. The staff is friendly and we never feel rush to eat & leave. This isn't a place you need to really dress up to feel you fit in. However, you also could if the mood suits you & still not feel out of place. Truly, I am happy that they even have tables on the main level that accommodate those with mobility aids. However, that being said, I am struggling to recall if there would be a easy enough way for a wheelchair or even a walker to make it to the main door. I'll have to remember to focus on that long enough before my next crepe eating bliss hits. As Cowichan Bay is a popular area to stop for meals, do plan to go in advance for parking. As even if there are a few spots for the restaurant, there isn't enough space to accommodate the full restaurant. If you are able to find a spot at the restaurant or are double parking at the restaurant (which is apparently allowed), it is good to let the server know what vehicle is yours. Beyond more than mention "I've parked my vehicle here", so a server can notify you if people need to be let out of the space if they're leaving before you're done. If you don''re not lucky enough to grab a parking spot right at the restaurant, you might have to go far up the road (sometimes almost to the hotel) or down the road (towards the parking area by the pubic washrooms) to reach any parking options. Definitely try it out if you are looking fit an option in Cowichan Bay. I know I'm looking forward to many more future happy crepe eating moments here with friends.
