There was not a soul in the restaurant. We weren't really treated so I asked if we ordered at the counter or should we seat ourselves and they would come to the table. He told us to take a seat. We did. We waited about 5 mins. Thinking they'd bring us a menu or ask if we wanted coffee. We looked at the menu on the wall to see what we might want. The cooking follows the KISS mentality - Keep It Simple Stupid! But yet the flavours are very well thought out. The veggie omelette (which is pretty much a frittata) was AMAZING. I've been here several times for brunch. It's more of a self-served little cafe here. It has a small menu but each menu item comes with large portion. The few items I had were their daily special omelette, comes with both hash brown and toasts. My friend ordered the egg with chorizo. I used to go here every other day back when I was a teenager and I decided to drop by again for old time's sake. Even during COVID times, the food is just as great as I remember. They have a daily special menu listed on the whiteboard outside their door. The portions are pretty huge for the price you pay. It's hard to choose what I want to order whenever I come here because I love practically everything they serve! My personal favourites are the turkey club sandwich and the beef stew with garlic toast. Chicken Salad Sandwich Review: My family friend and I had to go to church for worship practice and his mom bought this for me for lunch LOL so I don't really know the vibe of the cafe or the price. Even though the bread looks like a burger bun, it wasn't. The texture of the bread isn't as soft and nasty as cheap burger buns, there was more uh 口感 - mouthfeel. The lettuce, tomato, avocado, alfalfa sprouts and cucumber were super fresh :) LET ME TELL YOU the chicken patty was SO JUICY. Literally was dripping juices. The patty was very well seasoned. The burger as a whole was like a happy group of friends, different ingredients meeting together to make the perfect taste profile. The fresh vegetables really complimented the seasoned chicken and the bread just wrapped everything up beautifully!! The taste was A1. The fried potatoes were done up crispy-like, with onions and light seasoning. I love how they did it. I don't know what butter they put on the toast, but I'll tell ya, it was good. Great seasonings, lots of veggies in the omelet. We ordered a mocha on a Friday when the owner was there and it was delicious. We ordered a mocha again on Saturday and it was not very good and we couldn't taste any chocolate. They offered to remake it for us and it got a little better, but still not near as good as Friday. While the place is underwhelming order at cashier and seat yourself, I don't usually let that phase me that the food will match the expectations set by appearance, I should have. Ordered a ham and cheese omelette with the pan fried potatoes, shouldn't be able to really screw that up, but, it was awful, way too much cheese in the omelette, it was way overcooked and looked like a large over-fried egg full of cheese, greasiest omelette I've ever seen. The ham looked like grocery store deli ham just sliced up and the potatoes were so salty I could barely eat them. Even the toast was over buttered. I couldn't even eat it and ended up walking out wasting $30 for breakfast (wife and I) and went to Gabi and Jules. Do not waste your time! read more

Without a doubt, this is the best cafe/diner in the Tri Cities. They aren't open at night but they serve until 5 PM most nights. The breakfasts are real deals old school and all the lunch items are top quality. I've had the quesadilla, hamburger, veggie sandwich and several of their homemade soups and everything was great. You can tell everything is homemade, nothing is frozen or out of a can. I personally wound not give them one star but have too in order to write a review. I , because of the reviews ordered the ham and cheese omelet and it was absolutely terrible!!! Now, the staff were very friendly and the coffee ( latte) was good. But I'm really tired of people with no taste writing reviews. Ok, so this place is a guilty pleasure for hubby and me. It's like going to a small town cafe where there is no pretentiousness, everything is mismatched, the fish tank is too small, tacky decor and the music is banal, but it's just darn good homemade food! Burgers are probably the best backyard burgers I've had with a ton of fries fresh and crispy out of clean oil. Breakfasts are huge and nummy with little touches like mom would put on; like wedges of watermelon and orange. Big portions and not inexpensive, but won't kill the budget either. Come early on a Saturday morning and you might even get some hot homemade donuts fresh from the oven. read more
