This is an incredible yoga studio!!! I recently moved here from Scottsdale, AZ and the instructors encourage and challenge you in such a positive way. The leadership is working very hard to ensure Covid-19 guidelines are being followed. I'm meeting great yogis that are so welcoming as well (amongst all our sweating and burning of calories)! There are so many things I love about this yoga studio! 1. The infrared heat is fantastic! I find it so much better than the oppressive heat that makes me feel suffocated like someone is standing on my chest as in traditional bikram. It is a different type of heat generation that for me feels lighter and definitely more refreshing and detoxifying! I absolutely love it! 2. The foam floors make it so much softer for my knees which take a lot of use from running. In the beginning it brings a little more challenge for balance poses but my balance is better because of it. 3. The instructors! OMG! They all provide a different approach - a variety I find very appealing especially because I go everyday. 4. The class selection ranges wide, from super yin Blissflo to beginner Hotflo to more advanced Powerflo to mega badassery Sculptflo and Detoxflo: an offering from yoga to yoga+strength training. All classes end in savasana with a cold, wet, lavender-scented towel which is simply the best. 5. The new name change to IGNYTE to be more inclusive of the holistic approach (January 2022). 6. The new owners are incredibly welcoming and strive to do their best to make the studio feel more like a community. Tables and chairs in the new redesign of the lobby space are there to encourage socializing so people will stay and have a place to hang out. 7. The community of fellow yogis are the best! They are quick to smile and incredibly nice. The friendliness is super uplifting during the hardest of workouts. Definitely recommend this yoga studio with complete wholeheartedness!! read more

Okay the people that work here are nice. I'm gonna start with that. However, that being said this studio is not for me. I practiced yoga for years but that's been years (and several gained pounds) ago. I convinced my fellow stay at home mom to come out with me and give hot yoga a try. If you are already super fit and like to show off your head stands and your birds of paradise please sign up for a class here...if you're struggling to get back into the swing of practice and trying to regain some flexibility run far, far away. The instructor knew that we were new but gave us no warning that we were walking into a ridiculously intense class filled with yoga fanatics. Had she simply said "being new to it you might want to try a different class" we would have saved ourselves some embarrassment (and ninety minutes of our lives) and just gone to lunch. The whole place just gave me a vibe that was anything but tranquil...the other class attendees were super serious (with the exception of one very friendly lady) and when we walked into the studio we had to walk through PUDDLES of other people's sweat from the class before. It was pretty disgusting. That being said, we persevered and gave it our best. We didn't leave but we did have to sit out for 1/3 of the class because it was just that ridiculously hard and (even knowing that she had two newbies) the instructor never once offered us an alternative pose. I'm glad we didn't pay for the class, and we won't be back because by the looks of the schedule this studio doesn't really offer any lower/beginner type classes...I thought HotFlo would be their lower level class because the other options were PowerFlo and HotFlo2....what do they do in those classes? The Powerflo class was difficult but I enjoyed it. I worked up a sweat and felt great. The facility is very nice. However, the instructor's voice was difficult to hear over the music at times. Also, the staff seemed more interested in socializing with each other than helping customers. read more

Cool yoga studio in Frisco. They were generous enough to offer me a 1 week free trial while I was in town for Thanksgiving. The space is brand-spanking new and the locker rooms were great with really big and clean showers. They really take pride in their infrared heated mirrors, which is pretty nice because it means you don't have to hear a noisy furnace turn on and off. I also appreciate the free towels and mats, other places usually upcharge you for these amenities. read more

I have been in quite a few studios in 12 years of Yoga practice. This is a very nice and clean studio, but not conducive to relaxation and quieting the mind. The blasting loud Pop music to practice Yoga will make you tense, rather than entering into a meditative state in your poses. I couldn't even hear the instructor with the Madonna mic on, over the deafening Pop music. Great yoga place! The sculpt yoga class is my favorite. All the classes are great though and the teachers are very friendly.

I went here with my mom while I was visiting home. The studio itself is really nice. The store front offers some really cute yoga clothes and accessories. The changing room is great. I had to run to a work thing after class once and had to shower there so it worked out perfectly. There is tons of space in there if you happen to be getting ready at the same time as a few others. I went to a few different classes. The sculpt class is super intense. It's fast and loud. I did my best to do everything but I left the weights out of the routine my first time. It wasn't my favorite class only because it wasn't what I was looking for. I had wanted a more calming centering yoga practice but this was more of a boot camp style. I do enough of that on my own that it's not what I want out of my yoga practice. I can't remember why but the yin class isn't called yin yoga but it was AMAZING. After the brief warm up the rest of the class was with our legs up the wall. I thought maybe 5 minutes for poses would be too long for me to keep my mind reined in but it was perfect. I felt amazing afterward and so did my mom and sister. The flow classes are wonderful. More what you might expect when going to yoga. It is a faster pace but it still brings you to your mat and keeps you focused. I'd definitely go back when I visit my mom again. read more

I was really excited to try hot yoga and I have wanted to for awhile. I drove an hour just to give it a try and I was planning on buying sessions and coming back once a week if it was worth it. However, I checked in and I had to tell the front desk I had never been there before in order to get a small tour. Then, during the class, my very first time, the instructor never even ACKNOWLEDGED me. She didn't help with form or explaining moves, not even a hello. Not even after the session was finished. The staff and facility are tops. I have been attending Hot Body Yoga for over a year. There are a variety of classes and over time different ones have been more appealing depending on my goals at the time. All of the classes are good and health promoting. The instructors are professional and always willing to answer questions. They encourage the group as a whole and individuals as well. The experience has been life changing. THIS IS NOT YOGA!!! I've practiced traditional Ashtanga yoga for years and even spent time training in India. I've been to a lot of yoga classes in my life and know that not every class is going to be Ashtanga and not every class is going to be traditional. HOWEVER, hot body yoga is just a bougie Dallas fitness club packaged and advertised as a yoga studio. I mean the name says it all. Anyone who seriously practices yoga doesn't do it for a "hot body" because that is not what yoga is about!!!! It is about self-acceptance and letting go and finding peace! The instructors were weird and fake and sounded like they listened to a bunch of wanna-be zen self help books written by white men before coming to class. Honestly the crap they recited to promote "mindfulness" didn't make any sense-- I try to be respectful in any class I go to, but in this one I couldn't help but laugh at these wacky women. The studio reeked of cultural appropriation and the instructors were stuck up and gave cultish vibes. They didn't welcome new comers or visitors (and for that and many other reasons I they lost my business). As for the class itself, it was an excellent workout if you aren't expecting to do yoga. I worked up a good sweat, but I can do that at any gym any day. I go to a yoga studio for yoga!!! There was no emphasis on breath (the core element of the yogic practice) and the instructors rushed through the asanas and flows as if we were in a HIT class or something. I'm sorry, but I like to enjoy in my vinyasas!! The instructors didn't use proper Sanskrit names for asanas and they didn't even use the common English names for them either so I was really confused despite the fact that I am a certified yoga instructor myself. Never have I been to a yoga class that had Michael Jackson on Taylor Swift on their playlists, so that was new to me as well. The instructors didn't give modifications or variations, which can be very dangerous when you've got new people in your class who can't just jump into full wheel without some injury! I always offer variations and workshop with my students, but there was none of that here! It seems that their motto is bend til you break, when it should be start where you are, accept it and you'll naturally get better with practice. One of the most bizarre things to me is that we didn't even end the practice with savasana?? I've literally never been to a class that didn't include savasana! So odd! Basically, if you're looking for a cultish crossover of a lifetime fitness workout class and cheap Americanized yoga, this is the place for you. But for all of the authentic yogis out there, I would recommend you try a different studio!! Just my two cents ‍ read more

I decided to take a class here based off of the recommendations from the ladies at lululemon in Plano. I arrived early and waited for the previous class to finish. As I waited, I looked around the cozy store in the front of the studio. The store is very cute and I was happy to see a nice selection of printed hot yoga capris and yummy scented shea butter tins. Very nice first impression. I was looking forward to the class. After a few minutes, the manager came out of the class and asked if she could help me. She was not very pleasant but she did just come out of the Hotflow class and was very sweaty. I told her that I came based on a recommendation from lululemon. She said that Wendy was an ambassador at lulu and seemed annoyed that I didn't know that Wendy was the owner of the studio. She had me fill out a form and said that I could go into the room when people start leaving. I took the Powerflow class with Michelle Valen. The class was very good- a challenging power vinyasa set to great music and followed by well needed stretching at the end. The infrared heat surpassed my expectations. I spoke with Michelle at the end of the class and she was very nice and had very positive energy. If I had to rate the class alone, I would give it 4 stars. After class, I went to the spa like women's bathroom which was surprisingly spacious and well appointed. As I was leaving the studio, I saw the manager and Wendy and told them that I really enjoyed the class. I asked what the next steps were regarding the complimentary first week. The manager explained that I could come back 6 more times. The flier that I received from lululemon states "one week unlimited access" so I asked if this was the case. The manager seemed frustrated and then looked at the owner and said "am I not being clear?" She repeated that I could come back 6 more times and said "I don't care if you come back 3 more times today but it is 6 total." Then, Wendy quickly stood up, moved away from the manager, and asked me if I had a schedule. I said yes but she gave me one anyway and proceeded to tell me about the color codes used on the flier. I attempted to make small talk with her but received a blank stare in return. On that note, I left feeling very unwelcome. This is quite a shame because the studio is nice, Michelle Valen was wonderful and the class was very good. It would be a good idea for management to clarify what they mean by their advertised "first week complimentary". According to lulu, they offer "one week unlimited access" which means you can go as many times as you want during a one week period. I will not go back to Hot Body Yoga but I will try Sunstone yoga instead (another lululemon recommendation) and write a review. read more

The class I took was really nice, but I had accidentally left my change of clothes in a nike bag. I tried to call but 1. there's no number on their website & when I tried to go up to the place myself there was no one in the front to take my questions, and the next time I went up it said they were open & they were closed. Their website does not accurately reflect their hours and is inconsistent. Found out from a friend they donate items after a week. Disappointed in their customer service. read more

I haven't been a sport person in my 42 yrs old, until I was fortunate to meet yoga, I'm lucky to have this studio near me with INFRARED Hot Vinyasa Classes that has change my skin like a baby, my body is like never before, the yoga teachers have dedicated themselves to their practice and they are changing the future of yoga in Dallas (Frisco). This studio is definitely my happy place! The instructors are among the best in the area and offer inspiring and challenging workouts in every class. The facility is beautiful - from the check in area complete with boutique to a spa like restroom/changing area. This morning I tried hot body yoga for the first time. I am a long time patron of Bikram Yoga but having relocated to a city where their are no local Bikram Studios, I opted to give Hot Body Yoga a try. I have become accustomed to practicing yoga in high temperatures so this would be the perfect mix for me, my beloved vinyasa practice combined with the heat of Bikram (although not as hot). The owner and staff were friendly and really knew their stuff. The studio was clean and inviting; from the boutique at the entrance to the hot room itself. I did not have a chance to visit the locker room this time around. The infrared heat was comfortable and therapeutic. Having been out of practice for several months, today's one hour workout kicked my butt! My arms were shaking so much from the intense burn at one point that I nearly chaturanga'd myself right onto my face. All in all it was an amazing experience and I look forward to attending again tomorrow. As an added bonus I was offered a free week of unlimited practice for being a new client - Yeah! But I think I should have started after the holiday (4th of July) because there are no classes Friday and Saturday this week. read more

I wish I could give 100 stars!! Hot Body Yoga has changed my life. I was in a car accident and could not work out for 3 years. I tried everything and it would cause me pain. When I saw the sign going up I immediately looked them up. I saw that they used infrared heat and read of its healing properties. I have to say I was truly amazed at how healing it was. The classes are challenging but the amazing instructors really work with you and show modifications to fit your level. The entire staff is so supportive and enpowering. Incredibly talented and committed instructors who communicate well about every movement and every benefit. Very motivating. Great ambiance. You feel like the whole class is an individual session for just you. I'm a guy and I'm pleased with how welcome I feel and the workout is top shelf.
