When we asked about canceling, a staff member advised us via text that we needed to wait until the first payment drafted before canceling. Because of that instruction, the cancellation ended up being outside of the three-day rescission window in the contract. When we tried to resolve the issue and explained that we followed the guidance given to us, the refund request was still denied. What's frustrating is that we have the text message showing the instruction we were given, and the membership and sessions were never used at all. We also asked for corporate contact information to have the situation reviewed at a higher level, but were told the billing department was the only contact available. I currently am a member of Cowboys Fit in the Pflugerville location and I was traveling for work up in Dallas. I decided to check out this location at the Star. While this gym has many of the same amenities that others Cowboys Fit do, the overall level of service here is a notch above the other clubs. The locker rooms are bigger with much nicer lockers that have separate compartments for storing shoes, other clothing and your personal items. There was plenty of room to spread out so you're not bumping into your neighbor while you're changing. In addition, the locker rooms have their own saunas so that you can go right from the sauna into the shower area. The workout area is spacious and has more equipment than other clubs. There's also a rooftop pool, and a café to buy fresh smoothies and snacks. The overall layout of this club was clearly designed specifically for Cowboys Fit, unlike some of the retrofits of other clubs using repurposed spaces. Service here was great. If I lived in Frisco, this would be my choice. Highly recommended. read more

I've been a member for several years now. I appreciate how large the gym is, and how they continue to add new equipment and offerings. I've had great experiences with the staff too. From trainers to the check-in desk to the Fuel Zone staff. Shout out to Lisa M for being extra helpful and supportive as I've had questions or needed encouragement. The only two things I'd like to see improved are general cleanliness (showers, equipment/gym floor) and the music (I appreciate the variety but often it's so loud and personally I'm not a fan of country music, especially while working out). read more

Very disappointed with the security at this gym. Over time I've had multiple items go missing, including 3 jackets (one lost in an area where CCTV cameras are working), 1 pair of Lululemon shorts, 2 pairs of shoes, and 2 T-shirts. One time I forgot my gym bag there. The staff returned the bag, but my expensive perfume worth about $400 was missing from inside. This is very concerning. With CCTV cameras in place, situations like this should be investigated. Management really needs to improve security and the lost-and-found system. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I've been a member at many gym... LA Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness, Equinox, and others and in every one of them, if you accidentally leave something in a locked locker, it's placed in a designated slot or turned in to lost and found. That's standard practice everywhere... except here. According to the manager, my $200 (possibly $300, I need to check the receipt) ALO jacket was "thrown away." I find that very hard to believe. What I do know is that I worked out on Sunday, accidentally left my jacket in the locked locker, and by the time I realized, the gym was closed. A couple of days later, it's gone with no record of it being turned in. Whether it was discarded or taken, the end result is the same: my property disappeared, and I was given no reasonable explanation. There was no lost and found process in place, unlike every other gym I've belonged to. So be aware, if you forget something here, you may not get it back. read more

The worst display of customer service and complete negligence from a business I have witnessed. BE CAREFUL! I signed up for a month by month membership sold to us by an employee named CJ. I am not in a position where I have much extra money, so to incentive me to join, he offered me $85 dollars of free supplements and free recovery. I was a member for about a month and payed $380 YES $380. CJ charged me an extra $100 or so for signing up which I was not informed about. Then when I attempted to cancel after the first month they wouldn't let me over the phone. I told them I was out of town...they didn't care. So I was charged for an additional month for which I used the gym 0 times and for recovery which I did not ask for and used 0 times. After 4 calls and 4 different stories and completely different story's at that. I have received $0 and payed $380. I was told the general manager and CJ would call me twice...and shocker 2 months later I have yet to receive a call. I PAYED $380 TO WORKOUT 21 TIMES. I can say this is singlehanded the worst experience I've ever had with a business. As a cowboys fan I can say with complete confidence I'd rather go to an eagles themed gym than workout here. P.S. the recovery teams was very nice. read more

I tried Cowboys Fit for a month to see if it had everything I was looking for in a gym. Amenities - coffee/smoothie bar, cryotherapy, infrared sauna, and massage are available for a price. Plenty of lockers and showers in the locker room as well as a sauna. The shampoo, conditioner, and lotion are better than most gyms. Group Classes - they offer good times throughout the day except they don't run late for working folks. It's usually a pretty good turnout and the instructors are amazing. Gym - lots of machines and equipment to get a full body workout. It can get really packed even during the middle of the day. TVs surround most of the gym with different channels. The treadmills have set screens so you can't move them. Not great for folks who are too short or too tall. Pool - three swim lanes outdoors. The water temperature is perfect but the walk there and back is not ideal in inclement weather. The view is incredible and you can lounge on the rooftop if you feel comfortable. It's really awkward to pass by business folks at Formation (company that occupies the third floor) when I'm wrapped in a towel. Parking - some street parking as well as underground parking are available. There are elevators to get inside Cowboys Fit but it is difficult to see the entrance from outside since there's no big sign for it. Price - at least twice as expensive as most conventional gyms. read more

I moved out of state and miss this gym a lot. For a reasonable price, it has everything I could want out of a gym and none of the stuff I don't need (like how Lifetime overcharges). It was also has a very motivating atmosphere to work out in, which I never realized helps so much with getting a good workout in. They also provide towels at this location. While you pay more for this one, than the other locations, it's worth it in my opinion. read more

BUYER BEWARE THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU AND HOPE YOU DO NOT NOTICE. IF YOU ARE A MEMBER CHECK YOUR AUTO DRAFT, YOU ARE PROBABLY BEING OVERCHARGED. I go to the downtown location, about 4 months ago, I requested the recovery to be removed from my account, and to add someone to my account. I stood there to ensure it got done while the gentleman was on the computer, was told it was done. She never got added, and the recovery package was never removed. Fast forward two months, the charges never changed, I realized it, called in this time. There were NOTES from the first guy reflecting my request. This manager apologized several times, told me I would be reimbursed the difference in a few business days and that I would no longer be charged for the recovery package. ReCOVERY PACKAGE STILL DID NOT GET REMOVED AND NO REIMBURSEMENT. It has now been 4 months of being overcharged about $30+ a month and I just figured this out. Is $120 a lot of money? No. But it's principle. I want a full refund for the last 4 months for being incapable of doing the most simple thing. read more

I like that gym. I mean, the staff is nice, but I just don't understand why they have a huge section of about 30 treadmills that are never in use. Meanwhile, the section that is actually super crowded (benches and mirror) is so tiny. They have only six benches that you can't move. Sometimes, you see people working out and others standing behind them just to see themselves in the mirror. They should triple the size of that area. No matter what time you go, you will always almost have to fight for your equipment. read more

I've been a member about five weeks so I can share my pros and cons. Pros: - Variety of equipment which is clean and well-maintained - Location within 2nd floor of building overlooking Ford Center is a nice view - I enjoy the vibe and workout music. No need to bring earbuds (which always fall out when I'm working out) - Price is much cheaper than Lifetime and the couples membership has been affordable - Nice locker rooms, saunas and recovery lounge Cons: - Pool was supposed to open 6/1 and when I asked the staff for an update, they joke that it should be open by Christmas. The pool was a main reason we joined. - Gym feels overcrowded from 4-6 pm so I find myself waiting to go work out - Some people are just there to look cute or pick up girls, but I guess that's any gym? - Gym is still working out the kinks with classes, the app, etc. - I was excited for the classes but they're overcrowded and pretty heavily aerobics. Great gym with great trainers and atmosphere! I am not your typical gym person. I played no sports growing up, struggled with my weight my entire life and have never considered myself very athletic. I can honestly say I have never liked working out until I started seeing Lisa Manchee at Cowboy Fit. Within in just a few sessions I already felt more confident and even worked out on vacation with a workout that she created for me. After 3 months I have seen a big transformation in my body and overall strength. I look forward to going and miss it when I don't go. Lisa is encouraging and challenges me way more than I could ever do by myself. She keeps the workouts fresh and I never feel like we are doing the same things over and over. I feel much more confident when working out by myself and have learned a lot from her. The gym itself is clean, the staff are friendly and it's a great location. I never thought I would say I loved going to the gym. But I do love it and I'd recommend it to anybody who wants to see results and feel at home while working out. You don't have to be a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader to fit in here. It's a very welcoming environment. I found myself in a strange position where the EXACT day that I prepaid for my third month of training was the day the personal trainer assigned to me wrote that he is "moving forward". meaning he is dropping me and my wife from training sessions. Why do you think that might be? You may wrongly assume that its because I'm chronically late to the sessions, uncooperative or maybe I'm scarfing down Big Macs for breakfast, lunch and dinner and chasing that with decadent milkshakes. Nope. As a matter of fact, I followed all of his instructions to the T and worked out 5-7 days per week, at least 1 hour per day. The result? I gained weight in my first two months and lost muscle mass in my 2nd month. In case you're wondering, my wife also worked out 5-7 days per week and in the end gained weight and lost muscle mass! The trainer acknowledged it and then proposed putting me on what translates into a dangerously high 4000 calorie a day diet! (WHOA!!!) -- we're talking about two full boxes of protein bars per day. I was taken aback by this but determined to cooperate if thats what it takes. The following day I noticed my credit card for training sessions was charged 1 week before the billing cycle was supposed to end. I raised the issue with the front desk and they told me I need to refer this to the trainer. The trainer then has to take it up with the training manager. I found this quite odd. After all, I signed up at the front desk and should be able to make this minor adjustment at the desk as well. In any case, I did as instructed. The trainer emailed the fitness manager and CCed me on the billing issue. Next thing I know the trainer texts me while I'm driving back home that he's dropping me and my wife from training effective immediately. After I got home I followed up with the fitness manager and mentioned that I'm in a position where I prepaid for training in advance and now find myself without a trainer on the day my card was charged. I urged the fitness manager to get back to me ASAP to resolve this and never heard back. This is my horrific account of my dealings with Cowboys Fit. For those of you considering signing up for training, here's what you should know: 1. The trainers are on their own and are under pressure to meet sales quotas. They are minimally managed, if managed at all. If they had more supervision they wouldn't unilaterally breach a contract with 2 clients in a heartbeat. 2. There's no standardization of practices. You are misled if you think you'll be training like the Dallas Cowboys, it couldn't be further from the truth. Each trainer comes in with their own plan and they may or may not be qualified for your needs. Many of them have minimal experience. In my case when I tried to flag down another trainer to explain certain terminology that my trainer made up, she could only guess what he meant by it. Thus, no standardization. 3. Their "elite" trainers attain the status due to a combination of the certifications they have and seniority. Turnover is high and my own trainer, who is 24 years old with 4 years of experience and only joined the club 5 months prior, was promoted to elite because others above him abruptly quit. Elite simply means they get to charge you way more for the same services. 4. They persuaded me to buy sessions in advance before the trainers earn their elite status to avoid paying more for sessions in the future. However, once my trainer was promoted to elite he tried to push us to pay higher fees. Two days later, he dropped us as clients. As an aside, when I joined Cowboys Fit the trainer mentioned to me that he's "undefeated", meaning he has never failed a client before. I now learned that the only reason he's "undefeated" is because he drops his clients before things go downhill. All I did was bring up a billing issue and found myself without a trainer, $864 lighter and without so much as a phone call or email from the fitness manager to attempt to resolve this., read more

Been going here for a few years Lately it seems to be going down hill. They don't clean like they used to. Rooms you take class in is dirty half the time. I took a class that the instructor kept cranking up the music so loud I had to leave. I was wear earplugs and asked her to turn it down a little. She did for five minutes then she cranked it up so loud the base was killing my ears so I had to leave. Classes available have been cut in half. And we were told there would be a new schedule but then the classes will be 15 minutes shorter. Still waiting to see if they will add to the schedule. So far nothing. You ask anyone at the front desk anything and they all look like there is nothing going on in their heads. I let them know a hairdryer burned out in the dressing room a lady was using and it smelled like burnt plastic. They may want to remove it to get the smell out of there. Nope. I wanted to follow up from my 3 star review on 8/10/19...because I've been contacted by two professional people from Cowboys Fit and that have absolutely gave me a change of mind about this Gym. So on 8/11/19 the day after my horrible first visit to this gym, i was contacted by Rick, The too Personal Trainer at Cowboys fit. He wanted to schedule my first free workout assessment. I informed him of my feelings and reviews that i made on two websites on my first experience, he was was extremely apologetic, he empathized with me, and he promised to make things right... On 8/12/19 i was contacted by Robert, i believe he is the Director of this gym and he informed that Rick had told him of my first experience and that he too wanted to apologize and make things right...he did make sure of that as well. Since meeting with these two gentlemen, i have felt welcomed and appreciated, my experience at this gym has been great! And i hired a female personal trainer named Anna who is also professional and is working with me to accomplish my fitness goals for the next 6 months. Seeing how this Team of Professionals came together to make things right and do business the way it should be done I've changed my review from 3 stars to 5 Stars. My impressions of my first two weeks at CowboysFit Frisco are as follows: * Very clean, upscale, modern, friendly, boutique feel but with scale. * Studio fitness leaders are friendly, are audience-aware to offer modifications to increase or decrease challenge. Classes are balanced, well structured, with good music. Fun in the form of work. * The Yoga setting is very pleasant. Leaders are aware of audience needs. Different yoga classes offer different pace or style. All have good structure and thoughtful balance. * The weight area is large with a wide variety of very well-maintained equipment. There are large areas for floor work, pushing sleds, or TRX. Lots of windows with views and plenty of large screen displays. * Locker area, showers, and sauna are all very clean and well equipped. * All staff are friendly. Alex & Patrick (I think) explained everything very well. Sales process is the normal "asking for the order" style but very respectful and professional. I entered on a trial basis and did not feel overly pressured. * Cancellation policy is only a 10-day notice. That is exceptionally flexible. * I think the price is very fair for the quality & variety. * Parking is easy as it is right under the facility. * There is a pool on top of the building with great views.
