We were in Sayulita for 7 nights and stopped here each night after dinner to grab some churros and walk around. They were perfectly cooked, tossed with cinnamon and sugar a great dessert after dinner. You have to stop here when in Sayulita.

Best churros we had in Sayulita! Don't get the ones near the plaza, they are very heavy and doughy. These are light, crispy and fresh! I thought they were closed at first because I couldn't find them at their pinned location but they are located on the other side of the bridge if you're coming from the plaza. You'll see these friendly guys as soon as you cross over. You won't regret walking a couple of extra blocks for these!

This Churros stand (black and white sign) is out usually 5 out of 7 nights (there is another stand the other nights with a red and white). This one with this couple is the best! Perfect cinnamon sugar Churros! We could not get enough and had to have it everything night. You must stop here! Delicious.

For the best meal (and cheapest) in Sayulita, go to Tacos Ivan and then find the Hot Churro truck for dessert!

They give you a pretty good sized bag of churros for $25 pesos and are very quick.

While the wait can be a bit unpredictable, it's usually not too long, especially during the summer. However, if you visit in the winter, it can take a while. The food here is reasonably priced and the portions are generous. The only thing that confuses me is the fruit water of the day. The cups are incredibly small, and for 30 pesos, I expected more. I've noticed that some tables have their water refilled, while others have been changed. I'm not sure if this is a policy or just a coincidence. The service is okay, but nothing extraordinary. They have a limited number of tables and don't have air conditioning, so it can get quite hot inside and outside. However, you're here to eat and go, so don't expect a sit-down experience. One important thing to note is that they only accept cash. So, make sure to bring some pesos with you.

We meet some amazing people (mostly from Canada) that we had a delightful conversation on how the rest of the world thinks about out country, not one person said anything negative or controversial to us. Mostly I was able to see and understand their culture more. Not to ramble on but I am actually taking the time to write this review because of the staff at Patio Azule, especially Edger. Edger is a very impressive and hard working person. He was the bartender who makes the world's finest margarita! He also took time to welcome us to the local culture. He made our trip one of the best yet...

You can get anything from pizza and pasta, to sushi, burgers and sandwiches, and a variety of Mexican dishes (tortas, tacos, etc). They also have amazing margaritas and margarita fruit smoothies. Seriously, try the guava one- it's awesome. The reason I love this place so much is because it's my go-to place whenever I'm craving some good ol' American food. It's hard to find restaurants in Bucerías that sell decent burgers & fries, so I was happy find that the chefs here really know how to make excellent ones. My friend opted for the chicken burger ( which is more like a grilled chicken fillet sandwhich) and was raving about her meal too. I've also had their handmade pasta, and a plate of (blue!) sushi, which were equally good. They told us they have soccer viewing parties for the Copa America games and are in the process of planning latin dance nights, which I'm hoping to check out soon! I'll be back :)
