His churros are definitely a labor of love and he (Arnulfo or Alejandro...unclear if Arnulfo is his actual name because when we asked him, he said his name was Alejandro) is the sweetest business owner in the world. His churros are super cheap (3 pesos each) and when we presented him a bill that was too large he simply told us to pay him tomorrow. Additionally, we saw him give a bag of free churros to a homeless man. SO SWEET. Honestly, we need more people like him that are selfless and care about their community. Regarding the churros, THEY WERE SO GOOD. I consider top-tier churros as Disneyland churros and these blow those out of the park. They are piping hot (simply because he makes and coats all churros on the spot) and they are the right mix of crispy outside and chewy inside. I came back to this churro stand twice while I was in Puerto Vallarta! This is definitely a must-try place when you're in PV!

Amazing churros, 60% crunch 40% soft. Fresh as can be, straight from fryer to cinnamon and turbinado sugar then into your hands. Value, price, quality can't beat it stop by here! We went at 5PM for a mid day snack but they are open late as well! 3 pesos per churro roughly 20 cents USD! It was by a church and construction zone when we went so the location was a bit busy and footing was bad, however it was only 6 or so blocks up from the beach with lots of night life and stuff to see on the way definitely worth it.

So happy that we didn't have to walk too far from where we were staying for these tasty treats! They are fried and made right in front of you. Once you taste these you will never want to order them from a traditional restaurant again. I'm kinda glad I don't live in PV cause if I did I'd want to eat these daily and my waist might not approve.

When churritos (mini churros) cost 1 peso each, it's no wonder that there is a line for Arnulfo's stand every night. His cousin's homemade machine has given us 6 straight days of fried dough pleasure. Although I prefer my churros to be slightly more dough-y, each bite was delicious and covered in crunchy sugar. If you're in the area and hear the church bells, you know you're in for a fried treat! Located right in front of the church on Aguacate, it's a no brainier.

Fresh churro stand. The guy is friendly and draws a crowd. He only sells one thing, hoy churros with cinnamon/sugar. There are no other toppings or sauces. The oil is fresh and he fries to order. It's a must stop while in Puerto Vallarta!

It's thicker, more cheesy than what I've ever had before and very delicious. We paired that with the prime rib tacos, it was a plate stacked with meat and 4 tortillas under it, more than we could eat. The seasoning was great, it was diced so small that it was easy to eat. I got a virgin strawberry margarita, the wife got a coke. It was very affordable.

Vegans are easy please. Give them clear marked options, even if there is one option, we are pleased. This place had a few clearly marked options plus the staff was fully aware and can provide suggestions. The only downside it is a cash only place. Guacamole and chips - fantastic. The guacamole freshly prepared and chips fresh fried. Amazing. The 3 types of vegan tacos we got were vegan chorizo, mushrooms and cactus (trying for the fist time). The vegan chorizo was the best, slightly spicy but not overly. The poblano peppers were predictable but very good. The onions with it were a good addition. Nicely seasoned and prepared. The cactus was good, we found that it was less seasoned. Just stir fried cactus. The star of all the three types tacos was the fresh blue corn tacos. We could have those everyday. The other superb tasting was the salsas and fresh toppings. 4 types of salsas, white onions and cilantro. The salsa were of varying different levels of heat and even the mildest salsa was the best. The virgin margarita and virgin mojito were great. Margarita being slightly better even though we love mint. Good atmosphere, clean surrounding and great service and vegan food - what more can one ask?

We stopped in for a drink to cool off and enjoy the view. It was still early so the restaurant was pretty empty. Staff working was all wonderful. We sat along the waterfront overlooking the river. Cocktails menu did offer a lot of nice creations. It's a full bar so whatever you prefer it could be made. Killing some time with the cocktails, we went for some snacks to share. The ceviche which was well presented and served with chips and extra salsa. The fish was fresh and marinated well with the lime juice. Also loads of avocado on top and fried calamari. And the nachos with rib eye. They didn't asked how we wanted the steak cooked which it came out well done. That was accompanied by beans and cheese. Good thing salsa and pico de gallo was also brought out. Even though meat was well done, it was still quite tasty. The restaurant itself was quite beautiful in the main floor which leads out to the grassy area. Beautiful spot for a party or wedding. There's also an upstairs level that is open air as well. Across from the restaurant, they have the brewery which we didn't try out. That as well is along the river on the opposite side. It's a beautiful restaurant and a nice try if you're walking along the riverfront island.

Prices were as expected for higher end dining in a popular tourist area, but comparable to what we pay in Albuquerque at a popular gastropub. Fish tacos, ceviche, a cocktail, and a bottle of artesian water set us back about $50. The menu was filled with delicious sounding options, and the flavors were fresh and refined. The ceviche featured octopus and calamari, and it was marvelous! I wish I could remember our server's name. He was a delight.

I noticed right away that the kitchen is tiny. It made me wonder how they manage to put out so much food. Service was standard. Nothing to complain about while we were sitting there, but the aftermath was a disaster. My partner and I both got extremely sick a few hours after leaving. It was pretty clearly food poisoning, likely salmonella based on the symptoms. It is very disappointing since so many people talk this place up. I will not be going back. Would really caution and avoid if older or immunocompromised.

Chips and three salsas come gratis. The pineapple habanero was a little hot for my tastebuds, but it had good flavor. The chipotle salsa was appropriately smoky and might've been my favorite. The green was more mild and fresh and also very good. I ordered three tacos: grilled shrimp, grilled fish, and the hibiscus flower and panela cheese. The waitress let me try a piece of the cheese before ordering since I'd never had panela before which I appreciated. That taco was probably my least favorite of the three- texture, not taste, but I like to try new things, so I'm glad I got it.
