Mr Ray is amazing I have a mixed Chihuahua that is a rescue I was worried about my dog not letting Mr Ray cut his nails or do anything but Mr Ray was very professional and good with my dog Jr now I have another dog that I will be taking to Mr Ray for The grooming and nail Care I appreciate Mr Ray so well because my dog Jr is very skittish of people but Mr Ray spoke very soft to my dog Jr and Jr allowed Mr Ray to cut his nails Mr Ray has very good patient with Jr I definitely will be going back and now I have another rescue that I'm taking in today for nail trimming I will never go to another grooming place for my pets hot dog grooming is our home for our babies now take your pets to Mr Ray and I guarantee you'll be well satisfied read more

Have to give some stars because they actually say they accept walk ins and in my line of business it's extremely difficult to make an appointment. I didn't actually get serviced bc I tried to walk in but they said they were full which ok that's fine not a huge deal but had to leave a review bc I completely forgot about reading through previous reviews and someone mentioned the old white haired man until I walked in and Man if looks could kill!!! His energy was so bad I didn't even want to ask for service!! Just beware of this type of person go to at your own risk. read more

The people who work here are very racist. They were very rude and insinuated that I was "trouble " because I was black and I have a black car. That is what was said verbatim. I would not recommend getting your dogs groomed here especially if you are a person of color! Sad part is I was not there for them I was there for the suite next door. Just rude! read more

RE: CAUTION using Hot Dogs Dog Salon Terrell Texas. 4/22/2021 Caution for your fur babies at HotDogs salon. Had an appointment at 0800 for my fur babies (3 blind, and 1 tripod pup). I have used hotdogs three times in the past so I was not unfamiliar with them, but everyone else had no appointment so even though they do sub-par work I needed my babies groomed. As I was dropping off I was met by a less than friendly female who begrudgingly assisted me in bringing my babies inside. The man was working the counter and made several attempts at dry humor and I happily engaged him. He seemed friendly (at the time!) The owner was not present at drop off. During the drop off the girls puppy snuck out of the gate and she angrily yelled at the puppy and kicked him in the butt forcing him back in the gated area. This made me super uncomfortable as I had never seen this woman before and I sure did not like how hateful she yelled at the pup. I continued to assess this behavior as I gave instruction to the man. I left with a sinking feeling so when I arrived home I gave them a call. The man answered and I asked if he was the one I had just spoke to and asked him if I could express my feelings to him as I had just dropped off 4 handicap dogs that would require considerable patience. He seemed open to hearing me, but that ended abruptly. I described how the women's actions gave me a sinking feeling and he stated, "COME AND GET YOUR DOGS!" I was taken back by this because I simply expected him to say something along the lines of, "I assure you we will take good care of your babies." I drove back and went inside and went directly to the crates. The owner came out of the gated area in a confrontational manner and I stated, "I do not want any confrontation, I'm just going to get my dogs." As my daughter and I retrieved them and walked outside to the car the owner followed us spouting off to my daughter, "did you give me a dirty look?" Soon the man came outside and he became loud and belligerent as well. I was in shock at all this behavior and I continued to calmly explain what happened to the owner (who began made excuses for both the girl and the man) stating "well...it's her dog!" The man was screaming, pacing and waving his arms at my daughter and moved within inches of her face, then started yelling, "she assaulted me!" OMG this was so far from the truth. The owner had absolutely no control over her out of control employee. I then told my daughter to begin recording with her phone and get in the car and that I would add the video in the review. At this time the old man acted like he called the police. He then demanded I leave (remember I am outside In the parking lot at this time.) I then informed him that if he called the police I was not going to leave that I would wait for them to arrive. You could tell this was a huge lie because he acted like he called them again and said, "the police said they won't come if you leave right now," which we all know this was untruthful. In the meantime my daughter pulled out her phone and the owner aggressively moved right in front of her phone and grabbed it from my daughter. My daughter immediately grabbed it back. The owner and the old man continued to verbally attack us outside in the parking lot. Once my daughter and I were in my car the owner even begin banging on my drivers window and then threw open my car door. I severely cautioned this women that she better not touch us or my car again, I closed my door and left. I must say that where you take your fur babies is your business, but I feel it necessary to alert people who have babies that need grooming of the tempers of the individuals that own and work at this business. My babies are my children, as I'm sure other dog lovers feel the same and I love them dearly. All this would have taken would have been for this old man to give me reassurance that my babies would be taken care of, instead it turned out so volatile and Unprofessional. I have NEVER in all my life experienced anything like this and hope to never see it again. With all the businesses needing money due to Covid they need to know that people have a choice where they spend their money and my money will certainly not be given to HotDogs. These are not the type of individuals I would recommend taking care of a dead animal so I won't be taking my babies there. read more

We moved to Terrell almost 2 years ago. My dog (mostly daschund mix) has been bathed and nails trimmed for years in Carrollton where we used to live. We were concerned about the transition but it was awesome. Ray and his partner take very good care of her. She loves the little scarfs they put on her. Highly recommend them. read more

Ive taken my dog here for the past 3 years, they literally work wonders. They're always cautious with how they treat him and they make sure his coat is healthy and clean after every hair cut. The owner injured my dog's eye, I realized when I got home after picking him up. Called her and she said she didn't know what happened to him, I took him to the vet immediately after and she said to bring her the bill and she would pay for it. I gave her a couple of weeks and went back with the vet bill in hand, she not only did not pay me for the vet bill which was $145.00, she became very aggressive towards me and insinuated that I injured my dog intentionally (the dog that I have been taking to her grooming salon for more than 3 years)and that I was wrong by taking him to the vet ,that the bill was too much money and that she was not going to pay for it, His injured eye took 12 days to heal. Horrible character and horrible customer service. After this I will not only never go back to her place of business I will also warn everyone I know that want to take their pet to her salon. read more

Just No! Was so heartbroken at the level of service or I should say non service. This place is very unprofessional. The poor lady had just got out of the hospital from a terrible near death experience involving a horse. She shouldn't have booked the appointment. The first appointment was cancelled without any call or notification and when I called they scheduled an appointment for today. I dropped my dog off a little before 9 am Called at 1:00 ish to check on him and they said all was great, they bathed him and cut his nails and he was next in line for grooming... At 2:30 they call me to come get him because he was bad and they couldn't groom him.. But they did charge me $20.. He is a 7 month old westie and he has not been himself since I brought him home kinda lethargic and has his tail tucked.. Shame on you Hot dogs.. Shame on you! read more
