Absolutely horrible experience at Hot Heads in Holland. Came in tonight, and they gave me barely half a scoop of everything. When I asked for a little more, the guy gave me maybe a quarter scoop extra and then straight-up said, "No." Seriously? For the price they charge, you'd think they wouldn't be so stingy. This brand name has gone to the Crap. wanted steak in my bowl he put (literally) 5 pieces of half inch steak in the bowl. I was thrown back. I said "that's all", he replied that's all I'm supposed to give. You know.. this place gets a bad reputation. I've seen so many bad reviews on here and I'm shocked. I've been now 5x or so and have had a great experience every time. Several people said the burritos here are so much better than Chipotles so I went. The food selection is a bit different which is nice. The food quality is pretty good. I am not sure if this chain follows the same focus on hormone free meat and dairy as well as locally sourced produce. They don't seem to advertise it. This go's for Chipotles focus on the environment, I am not sure Hot Head has this commitment. As far as the environment inside, it is like old style McDonalds but worse...Chipotle is much more modern and stylish. I ate here twice. The food was consistent. The second visit they didn't give me a knife and fork and when I asked they told me the dining room was closed.....after I sat down and was organized and opened the wrapping......so I left and ate the burrito in my car.....which was messy....this incident brought the rating down. If the service was better this place is a 3 to 4.....the Mccord location is a bit challenging to get in and out of. read more

Just drove there to get dinner, out of lettuce again. How hard is it to go down the road and get some. Some lettuce is being recalled but I am pretty sure Iceberg lettuce isn't one of them. The employees (including the manager) are disinterested in waiting on customers and frankly were rude to my husband when he drove there to pick up dinner. In the last few years everytime we go in there they are out of something. We will not go back, there are too many restaurants in this town to put up with one that constantly disappoints. read more

Would rather stand with there back turned cleaning a grill( like a mindless zombie) with 2 hours till close. Then to say (after 10 min of waiting ) all out of chicken. Ive been a customer at this place for a long time. Recently they decided to do away with their rewards card program without informing anyone with one they planned to do so. Im talking no warning. The card I have is old to the point there are no numbers showing on the back. If you go to their website, there is no customer service option at all. They also coudlnt help me at the location I frequent. The food here is usually pretty good, but the corporate level of the business clearly sucks. read more

I was looking for a "change up" instead of my normal go-to burrito spot which is chipotle. I would say that hot-head burritos comes up just short. The customer service isn't quite what chipotle has to offer, the atmosphere is similar, prices are similar however chipotle is less expensive, and last but not least I feel that chipotle is much healthier! Unless every Chipotle in the world simultaneously burnt to the ground, I wouldn't go back. It's just as expensive as Chipotle, but the quality, quantity, and flavor simply isn't there. Flavors of rice, beans, and meat are very bland, which is probably why they have a variety of sauces, in hopes you can choose one and drown out the boring. I had banana peppers and sweet habanero added to my burrito, and those easily stuck out as the most robust flavors in the burrito. Sauces (which are unlikely made in-house) and added on veggies should not be the highlight of the meal. Chips and dipping sauce are expensive and obviously not made in house. I'm glad I tried it, but I'd be happier spending money at a Taco Bell than here. Two of us spent almost $20 total and both left feeling unsatisfied. I've spent less money eating out in Downtown Chicago. Side note: Napkins are behind the counter. That was incredibly annoying, mainly because they are definitely out of reach, and they only give you about 2 per ask. I don't know many places that do that anymore. I have been in this location a few times since the outbreak of Covid. The man who I believe is the manager has never been wearing a mask. No one at this location was wearing a mask until after I complained to corporate. The next time I was in the two women working were wearing a mask, but one of the people had the mask below her nose. The last time (literally) I went in there the guy I think is the manager was not wearing a mask again and neither was the other person working. When questioned, the man said that he could not wear a mask because he had balloon rhinosplasty and could not wear a mask. Since he had lied to me on two other occasions (one time he said that there masks had not come in and as I was walking out a girl told him that they had come in and that they were in the back. He told here to be quiet) about why he was not wearing a mask, I believe that he was lying this time as well. I do give him props for using Google though. I asked why the other worker was not wearing a mask and he said that "he didn't know that I was coming in and the owner said that they didn't need to wear a mask when no one was in the store." The other employee made no effort to put on a mask even though I was obviously upset about it. I am done and would recommend you go else where as well to a place where they take your health seriously. read more

Fast and friendly service!! This place kicks chipotle square in the teeth as far as I am concerned!! A much better variety! The mango habenero barbacoa is fantastic!! Just the right kind of spice. I used to love coming to hothead but I will never be back after my bad experience yesterday. I was charged for a bunch of add ons that no one notified me about bringing the total of my bowl from 6.80something to 7.95 which is ridiculous considering that I could get a higher quality meal at chipotle for cheaper. the girl behind the counter told me that if they don't ring up all the add ons their boss would take it out of their taxes. (???) I voiced my concerns about this to the owner + he basically told me that everything I was saying was a lie and was pretty rude. really tired of the poor customer service and will not be returning. I am a frequent visitor. I go for sure every Tuesday for double points on there reward program. I've accumulated 70 dollars in burrito bucks! I will say they are hit or miss most days. A coworker and myself notice a few long time employees that are great! However they exchange employees often, and some have no clue, and can result in a bad experience. I've also had undercooked rice from time to time, but overall I love it! Beats taco bell and chipotle for you money. read more

My husband I went here today and I must say we will not be returning. The rice was still hard I got veg (fajita) on my burrito and the chunks of red onion were not only the biggest pieces of onion Ive ever seen but they were raw. Horrid and regrettable interaction with them tonight. I've been going for years and never imagined that would treat me like utter shit. I'm ashamed I tipped nearly every time I ordered in person. Anyway, I order online; they call to say they don't have queso. Fine, just cancel my order. I want what I ordered. If I can't get it, I'll order somewhere else that can provide me with whatever I order. They say they can't cancel. Fine. I go and try to cancel through the third party. I can't. I tell them just send it but we have to deal with the money I paid for queso. Their literal response: well, if we don't have it, there's nothing we can do. Now, I'm pissed. Under that logic, why don't businesses always send the customer home empty handed after a transaction... No, you have to provide me with a refund or something reasonable in return? They finally offer me guac, the one thing I'll say no to. I say, a cookie? Chips? Anything so I don't feel like I got ripped off. They are out of cookies and chips... They essentially said: you can take the quac or screw off. So, here I am, screwing off I guess. read more

The food was poorly prepared, with the rice being undercooked, the food was cold, the establishment did not appear well kept and the meats had not been stirred so they were dry and crusty around the edges. The employees were less than helpful but did hold up the counters well by leaning against them. I will not eat here again nor would I recommend it to anyone. read more

I love the Hot Heads in Perrysburg, every time i have been there I loved it! I tried this location when I learned it's nearby my office. When their first location opened in Perrysburg the experience and food was by far superior to their competitors. Unfortunately, it appears that they have become comfortable (like chipotle) in their current position and the quality of food and customer service is suffering drastically. This place is great. The food is delicious. I have been to both local locations and was delighted with the service and the meal. Each menu item is fully customizable, there is no predetermined ingredient list, you can have whatever you want, however you want it, kinda like Subway, except that there is no turkey anything. If you are tired of bland, boring, factory like fast food then this is worth checking out. The prices are reasonable, the counter moves fast. I don't think that they have a drive thru, a small price to pay for good grub. read more
