The staff have consistently been cold, short, and unfriendly, making me feel unwelcome every time I come in. The food is fine, but customer service has really gone downhill. Just now getting around to reviewing. This restaurant was one of my family's favorites. We would drop $50-60 each time we went. It was a family favorite, until last year. Placed an order, got there and they didn't have Mac and cheese, ok no problem. The guy working all he could talk about was getting off work and how he couldn't wait. Got my order and went home. One sub was missing, so I went back. While I'm there my husband is opening up the subs we did get. We paid extra for extra cheese on the brisket (no cheese at all and barely any meat, mostly bread .....for a $14 sub and this was both of them like that) my daughter's sub had one piece of turkey that took up half the bread, the other half was bare and there was NOTHING else on it but a single piece of turkey. The only sub that wasn't horrible was the meatball sub (also the smallest most inexpensive one) I contacted corporate and got a here's free medium sub coupons ( ours were larges with extras added) I threw the coupons away and ended up getting a full refund instead. I have NEVER been back since. When your employees care more about leaving instead of actually doing their jobs it speaks volumes about the place. Sad because we loved it but I refuse to pay $60 for my families dinner to go in the garbage and for me to have to go twice to the restaurant and still not get what I paid for and family that I had over to leave hungry. The staff acted like it was an inconvenience for them to make the sub that was missing and didn't give a crap about the standards of their food. Giving someone a sub they paid $11 for that has one piece of meat (majority of it bread) no mayo no lettuce no nothing else when THAT is what they paid for is shitty standards) Do yourselves a favor, make your own subs or go somewhere else because firehouse subs has no standards for their employees. read more

I always loved going to Firehouse Subs however I went there two days ago and will not be returning back there again. The girl who took my order was friendly but she began ringing me up with the gloves on that she had on while making someone's sandwich and then took the gloves off sat them in front of the register which was not very clean. After she took my order she put the same gloves on and was going to make my food. I asked her if she could put new gloves on and she seemed annoyed. So after that she grabbed new gloves and never washed her hands before putting on the gloves. I got home and didn't feel comfortable even eating the food so I threw it away! read more

Wilted lettuce in my salad (because they don't carry gluten free buns) was disappointing. There are other local places I like better.

I can understand just opening up and being slow to ensure proper training and accuracy for employees but this location sure does need a lot of help. From the time entering the front door to exiting the front door it was kaotic and stressful. The cashier wasn't able to keep up with what was being ordered and they mixed up the toppings on all 4 of our subs. When we asked for them to remake the food, the manager told us we would have to wait in line and re order. By that time, it had already been a 25 minute wait to begin with and now we have to wait again? No thank you. We will eat at other sub locations. I was so disappointed with the service and "help" they forgot to offer. read more

I paid around $20 for (2) large beef brisket subs....a bit pricey, but not unexpected for what you get. These subs were about as good as it gets. They were just succulent and overflowing with beef. Now, I think this location is pretty new because the place was tidy and fully staffed with employees closely following company protocol. Let's hope they continue the enthusiasm. Great sub. We tried three different subs, the broccoli cheddar soup, and desserts and took the order to go. Food was yummy, if a bit soggy. Service was adequate, fairly speedy, but unforgettable. I would suggest wrapping the pickle spears in wax or parchment paper rather than the baggies as they were messy to get out. Pickle juice everywhere. I'd definitely try them again! read more

The food was really good. I think 30 dollars for 2 meals is a bit steep but I honestly would pay for it again. I had the "hero" sub and it was amazing. The pop machine blew my mind. Everything about the food was perfect. My only gripe was the staff. I walked in and was greeted with a very unenthusiastic "welcome to firehouse" as was everyone else that walked in after me. The staff seemed very confused on who was supposed to get which subs and instead of shouting out the order like Penn station does she kind of walked around aimlessly asking everyone if that was their sub or not. Now at the Monroe location if I bring my half eaten sub to them and ask for a bag they usually wrap the sandwich for me. When I asked for a bag from the lady at this location she seemed put off that I brought my sub up with me then handed me a couple boxes. With how expensive this place is I expect way better customer service than I was given. The Monroe location has an amazing atmosphere and customer service but this location lacks both.
