Chipotle is a WASTE of money by comparison, with loooong wait lines. Hot Head has many bold flavors completely missing from Chipotle. I had barbacoa with mixed cheeses, red onions and cilantro and it was delightful. Make sure to add their special spicy sauce: a good kick in the taste buds without being weaponized flaming of your mouth! Barbacoa is "spicy" but is really more bold and zesty without much heat by itself--the Hot Head spicy sauce is perfect for boosting the deliciousness. I can never go back to Chipotle. Completely bland by comparison. Highly recommend Hot Heads--also known for supporting military from Eglin AFB locally. P.S. don't forget the dual layer brownies with fudge and cookie flavor! And the big chocolate chip cookies. Only 1.50 per cookie and 3.25 per brownie; other places easily charge double. My order was made in a timely manner, and the ingredients were very fresh. The "Wild-Hot Salsa" partnered with the "Reaper Cheese" were excruciatingly hot. Your taste buds will SCREAM, and tears will flow ; but an addictive pain. Be prepared. The tortilla chips were super crispy and perfectly salted. The salsa was very fresh, with a good balance of tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and just the right amount of kick. It wasn't too watery, which is a big plus, and you could tell they used quality ingredients. Only thing I could ask for is to melt the cheese a little more before applying it to the Burrito. Ive ate here 5 or 6 times. Every single time the food in the hot pans look dry and old. The chicken is always burnt and old with some good pieces hanging around. Staff is ok. Prices ok. We were on a search for a great burrito place to become regulars at just like the place we loved where we are from. The first two times we tried hot head burritos it was pretty good. We ordered through door dash hot head burritos this last time we ordered because we are 25 minutes from the store. So we paid the extra fees just to get it. When we started to eat and we noticed the rice was rock hard and not edible. I immediately called the store to tell them we could not eat the burrito bowls because the rice was hard. The manager told me the only thing they could do for me is remake the bowl. I said i ordered through DoorDash and they didn't seem to care that I would have to pay another delivery fee for their mistakes. I will never eat here again. read more

This was our first time there. It was Military and First Responders Appreciation Day and they were giving away free burritos or bowls. T of course the place was jammed. Thank you all for your service. I'm not military (4-F) but my wife got discount coupons so we thought we'd try it. Service was fairly quick considering the special day and the food was very tasty. We each got a bowl (I got pork and my wife got chicken). Very flavorful. We'll definitely be back. We also love their community involvement. read more

My wife and I came here on a rainy day while on vacation. I ordered a bowl when the young lady was adding toppings it was her pinching suck a small amount. With their pricing being almost 30 dollars for two meals ridiculous. Another employee made my wife's bowl and there was a massive difference between ours. I asked the young lady what the limited time sauce was she told me she didn't know. She put two/ 4 pieces of chicken on my bowl when i said something to her she said she would charge me more. I just placed an Uber eats order. Was charged for a "fountain drink" but was only given an empty cup, lid, and straw. Filed a complaint with the app THEN realized my burrito was cold. Not warm. I was excited to try this place despite mixed reviews. I won't be going back. The meats looked like they had been sitting in the warmer for a week or more just constantly reheated each day. There were two guys working, one of which said multiple times that he didn't feel like being there. My husband ordered one of the jalapeño burrito things and the guy kept asking him what he wanted on it. My husband said it says on the sign it comes with these things on it. I don't normally rate any place that low as I love food, but this place as a whole was a disappointment. If you've ever been to Moe's right down the road, this is pretty similar but with less options and things aren't as fresh. I got the two-pack, two burritos, two drinks and chips/salsa for $18. I got a spicy chicken burrito and it did have a little spice. The making of the burrito DID NOT look appetizing. Maybe it was just that particular employee who lacked attention to detail but right off the bat I was regretting my decision to eat here. The guacamole seemed like the "fake" pre packaged type, it was not very good. The pico de gallo seemed like large chunks of over ripe, mushy tomatoes. My cheese was still cold inside the burrito. Just overall it did not taste good. My advice: drive the extra 1/4 mile down Mary Esther Blvd and go to Moe's. It's the same thing really but Moe's is better. I was hesitant at first to try a new burrito place as I usually always stick to what I know I like, chipotle but after a few bad experiences at the locations around here I figured I'd give this local chain a try. Service is always pretty speedy and that's with noticeably less staff than you see in other places. Food is delicious with a variety of specialty sauces to try. My husband and I always love to get double meat, and all the add ons and not once have we ever had a problem with the staff being able to properly wrap our burritos. This was my first time at Hot Head Burritos. This town isn't short of Mexican style food choices and I think I have now tried all of them. Hot Head is a fast food style burrito and taco place. The selections for tacos are the basics: soft or hard shell, salsas, corn, tomatoes, lettuce, and a variety of sauces to complete your custom tacos. So when I got home to eat it, it was so overwhelming that I had to add my own homemade salsa into my food to even try to finish. I wouldn't even feed this to my dog, if I had one. Not bad at all. I got a barbacoa burrito and wife got pork. Meat was tender with good flavor. Lots of good salsas and hot sauce choices. No charge for sautéed fajita veggies. Tortillas were nice and soft but didn't fall apart. We didn't get any sides or anything because we wanted to test the waters first but the burritos were on point. Why is everyone hating on HH? Me and the Mrs are regulars here, and it's never been a let down. Staff - 5/5: friendly, relaxed atmosphere, staff is always nice to talk to. Location - 4/5: always clean and I like how you have several screens to watch different things while you eat. Food - 4/5: First off, that sweet habanero sauce is something special. It tastes great but don't let the habanero name fool you. I love the variety (just like places such as Chipotle) - don't fancy a burrito? You have options.
