The center's overall space and massage rooms were very clean and relaxing as well. I loved that they had a changing room with samples for mothers on hand and a shower available as well. The center offers prenatal Pilates, yoga, and several other additional classes. What a treasure to have in the city! Definitely keeping this in mind for other folks and future visits. Anne was incredibly fair and supportive of medical interventions when desired or needed-- so you won't feel like it's "all or nothing" for an unmedicated birth! I'm…read moreupdating it now because Patti has since delivered all three of our sons, and I truly cannot imagine having gone through any of those births without her. With our first, Patti was instrumental in getting labor moving when our baby was stubbornly positioned too high, and she worked seamlessly with my OB and the nurses throughout the delivery. With our second, things moved very quickly and I didn't have time to get an epidural. Patti kept me as calm as was humanly possible and helped me through an unexpectedly intense birth. Our third son decided to arrive a little early, and Patti dropped everything to come be with us. I found out afterward that she had tickets to a World Cup knockout match that day--and missed the game to be there for our baby's birth! That pretty much sums up the kind of doula she is: completely committed to her families and willing to go above and beyond without ever making you feel like you're asking too much. She was also amazing with our two older boys, who had to be at the hospital because our baby was born on a public holiday and we had no childcare or family in town. She kept them entertained and happy while still making sure I had the support I needed. Patti is knowledgeable, calm, intuitive, incredibly hands-on, and just an all-around wonderful person to have by your side during childbirth. Her postpartum massage is also fantastic--she puts my hips and ribs back in place after every pregnancy and I can go back to wearing pre-pregnancy pants pretty much right away. After three very different births, I can say with complete confidence that I would choose Patti again in a heartbeat. It's not even proven to be an effective method of therapy for kids with learning disabilities. They are locked in a room with the therapist for 45 minutes and part of the therapy consists of extremely inappropriate games such as sword fighting. It teaches the kids how to fight and be aggressive. Sherri and Lynn are both a joke. Super goofy and racist. Sherri is an intern who is not even licensed and has ZERO credentials. Why the hell do they have an intern doing therapy sessions without supervision? If you have a child of color, I would strongly recommend you run from this place. Find a real therapist who understands your culture and who doesn't have a superiority complex.

Ms. Powell provided evening care for our daughter. Her duties included feeding our daughter with expressed milk in a bottle, giving our daughter baths, changing her diapers, and putting her to sleep. She also did the baby laundry and took care of cleaning the baby bottles and my pump parts. As time permitted, Ms. Powell kept our daughter engaged in meeting her developmental milestones. She is very creative and comes up with different ideas to keep our daughter challenged at all times. Our daughter has learned a lot from Ms. Powell and most of all she was happy with her! Ms. Powell is quite knowledgeable in baby products and baby care methods. As a first-time mom, her suggestions were valuable to me and helped me make better decisions. Ms. Powell is also very responsible and trustworthy. She was flexible with the schedules and accommodated to our needs as much as possible. We have left our daughter with her without having any worries. She has really meshed well with us and truly feels a part of our family.
