Visited Hot Skates last night for f cosmo skate night. I second guessed going because of all the negative reviews, but I'm glad I did. Cons: We paid $61 for a family of 4 (admission, skates, and a skating walker thing for our daughter). That is kind of pricey for skating. The food prices were also a bit pricey for the usual suspects- pizza, chips, nachos, etc. Pros: The Friday night DJ was Mama Mia and she was great. She played a great mixture of music. She interacted with the younger children, teenagers, and adults! There was time for backwards skating, advanced skaters, everyone, and a Congo line. Loved her! The staff seemed to all be teenagers or in their early twenties. They were friendly for the most part and helpful. A couple of them interacted with our 3 y/o to try to get her to dance! So cute. There is tons of parking! Overall- we will definitely be back! Giving them a 3 due to the prices and cleanliness of the bathrooms and the facility.

Great graphics!

My family visited Hot Skates on Saturday October 21st...Prior to visiting I checked out the reviews and thought...maybe I should see if there was a Groupon...just Incase we hated it, it wouldn't be too bad on our pockets. I arrived skeptical, and with my large group of 13ppl. When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff members. We showed our Groupon package via cell phone and placed our included pizza order. We all needed rental skates (which was also included in our package). We all asked for our corresponding skate sizes, but because we had several small children with us, we kind of had to just ask for a size and see how it fit. The staff member was very patient during this process. She smiled and kept great conversation as we found everyone skates. After getting a quick look around, I immediately disagreed with many of the negative reviews that were posted. The carpet was clean, the staff member handing out the skates made sure to disinfect all the pairs of skates my kids returned while finding the right sizes...even if they were only worn briefly. The restroom was clean. There was a party or two in the birthday area and even with them there, the skating rink was mostly empty. (Which I didn't mind at all, because my kids have a fear of being trampled by bigger, faster skaters like at other skating rinks. After being there for about 15-20 minutes our pizza was brought out to our table. It was hot and fresh. It tasted pretty good, and the soda was nice and cold. As other visitors left their tables, the tables were cleaned and sanitized, and when a staff member was alerted of a spill, she quickly cleaned the spill up. When the music was on, staff members interacted with us, and danced to the beat of the music. Once our session was over, a manager came over to us and offered us an additional skate session for free. She only asked that we not skate on the floor while they cleaned it. While we waited for the next session to began, the staff went to work deep cleaning and sanitizing the entire rink. We had an excellent time! I just could go on and on. I really can not find one bad thing to say. If I HAD to knit pick, I'd say that some of their machines in the game area could give a few more tickets...but even that wasn't a big deal. We have a new SAFE skating rink to go to now. Where the facility is clean, the staff is friendly, the pizza is hot,the video projector plays the music video, 2yr olds can skate peacefully! I'm not sure whats up with the other reviews because this place is amazing! The best skating rink we have been to in the Indy-area...and I have visited all of them!

Hot Skates wants you to give them a 5 star review on Facebook so bad that they're willing to give you a pizza party in exchange.

Management is extremely rude and disrespectful. Would never take my kids back to this establishment.

There's so much to do and play for kids and adults. I'd definitely recommend for date night, family outing, or anything really. Adult drinks were pretty good, not sure about the food we didn't get a chance to try but the menu looks promising.

When we asked a worker they said "this is just the slow one". We then reset it and it worked. Only one person can play each VR game at a time so you cannot play together. When we first got here we were told the tickets we get we cannot use to get prizes with the package we picked. When we went to use our hour of card time half the games were out of order and we were not able to play the games that produced prizes. We were not originally told this. When we realized the situation we asked if we were able to just pay for the food from our package as we had already eaten but be refunded for the game pass because we had used it for all of three minutes with half of that being the card not working. They told us the best they could do was give us credit to be able to get prizes. I overall would not recommend this place it is not worth the hype

When you walk in, it takes just a second for your eyes to adjust as the whole place is dark and lit by blacklights. As you enter the door, you are greeted with a few arcade game machines. The mini golf course is towards the back and was relatively reasonable for pricing. It was $26.00 for three adults to play a round. The course was decent with many right angle banking and some shots where you need to hit it into an obstacle. There is no elevation to the holes unless it is a ramp so the holes are almost all flat. The final hole is a large clown face where you hit the ball into his mouth. The arcade consisted of quite a few games to play: skee ball, crane games, deal or no deal, a big wheel to spin and a few other fan favorites as well. The games cost anywhere from $1.10 to $1.75 for a play so it isn't completely outrageous. There were 't too many options to choose from at the arcade redemption center so I would suggest expanding more items here for people to earn. This is a fun place to spend a couple hours with the kids or a fun date. They even have birthday packages available for children with a designated room.

The huge dining room and bar area was completely empty at 12 noon on a Thursday but another table became occupied shortly thereafter. She ordered the 12 oz steak dinner while I got the Chicken Parm Pasta which was kind of different in that the pasta was fettuccine Alfredo. Her grandma ordered the Cali Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich. Every one enjoyed their food. I thought the chicken parmesan was excellent. We also ordered dessert. I had to have the Funnel Fries with extra powdered sugar and she got the Smores Cheesecake. She said the cheesecake was rich but took the leftovers home. I demolished the funnel fries. We also partook of the game arcade buying the top package for each of us. We played together and tried 80% of the games. The virtual reality shooter game gave me an upset stomach briefly otherwise I would have played it again it was that fun. We acquired 3k tickets to cash in on prizes and she got some stuff that made her happy so it was a good afternoon.
