We regret purchasing from this company and here's why: 1. While shopping here, we inquired about the tax dedications in relation to chronic back conditions. Charlene asked her manager who came out and told us a blatant "no." (I've since looked into this and it wasn't true.) 2. The financing manager told me that the APR was 8.9% if credit was above 700. When I applied, the APR was 10.99% which scared me thinking I fell to an identity theft situation, as we keep our credit score high. The company sent me a credit report which was above 800, where we expected it. I did NOT appreciate him not knowing the financing company's actual rates. 3. Three months after having the tub, we experienced an overheating issue. Called and spoke with Angie who said she would schedule a visit and reach out. She was very nice and informed me She responded with instructions using terms that I was never explained during installation. This was quite confusing to me and I wrote her back explaining how this was frustrating and how I still wanted a visit. Since then, I explored the issue, got instructions from another source and was able to address the issue. I followed up with an additional email with more questions, but received no follow up call. If I could go back, I would have spent more time shopping and selected from another place, but wanted to give local a chance. This company struck out in my opinion. read more

Poor communication and customer service with more interest in their ego and pride than the customer. Mark came off arrogant and has poor customer service skills. When you're making a big purchase like a hot tub, you're not just buying a product, you're also buying a relationship with that store and customer service representative so that when something goes wrong with your hot tub (and it eventually will) you have someone you can rely on. I would not want to have Mark as someone who I would rely on because he has lost the focus of what it means to have customer service. I specifically chose to do my business elsewhere simply due to the arrogance and ego displayed. I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere also. read more

Bought a spa (hot tub) from them recently and had a great experience. Mark was very helpful and responsive. It was delivered quite soon after purchase, and the delivery guys (Tony and Daniel) brought the spa to us at the very end of a Friday and stayed until after dark to get it working properly. Well, service was outstanding when I was there to look around and buy a hot tub. Tony, the owner, was friendly and accommodating, and seemingly gave us a good deal on a floor model set-up. We are veterans, so we enjoyed chatting with Tony about our mutual time in service, and installation went smoothly, and the electrician used was phenomenal, best experience with a contractor ever. We did have a small issue with our hot tub cover, which took awhile to resolve due to supply issues from the manufacturer. But all in all, a good experience and a great hot tub! read more

Honesty and integrity are NOT what you'll get here. I just now received and invoice for moving my hot tub 6 months ago. Since I paid for the job in full when they moved it, imagine my surprise when I saw the invoice was $150 LESS than what I paid Tony. There were no extra fees AND they damaged my tub when they moved it. When my daughter and I went into the store to find out why I was overcharged and receiving an unpaid invoice for a job long since paid in full to both Tony and the electrician, Tony was very patronizing to us both, stating he was doing me a favor by "taking care of it". All I can say is what a great experience. I went to Hotsprings Spa because we recently purchased a home with a hot tub. When we moved in the tub was damaged. After talking with Tony he said they could do it but he would hate to take my money. The cost was high to replace a motor plus the sofa ^old and he would hate to see a domino effect. So he helped me choose a new one at a great cost. He said it would be a week and they would come and remove the old one. Well the very next day Tony called and said they could come. Wow the guys were professional and did a great job. The next day his electrician came got us up a day running plus gave us instructions on spa care. Great job Tony and team! read more

The owner was a JOKE. I came in needing a simple part and unfortunately was helped by the owner. He could find what I was looking for in his shop which was in complete disarray. He said he would call me when he found it, but he was to tired to look for it right then. I waited for his call and finally went back in because I hadn't heard from him. They have a lot to look at and very reasonable prices. If we don't buy here, it is only due to the snow fall that we might need a heavier cover. Two years ago, the control panel on our 10-year old Vita-Spa was fried by a couple of small frogs seaking warmth from the winter. After several days of temps in the teens, our motor, heater, and pipes froze, ruining our old spa. We contacted Tony, and not only did he give us a good price, he made all the arrangements to have the old tub removed and the new tub installed...no easy task, because the spa is on the upper deck on the back side of our two-story house. This required snow removal in front of the house and a crane to lift the tubs up and over the house. Tony arranged it all! Now, after almost 2 years abd the most snow we've seen in years, we couldn't be happier. This is a fantastic spa with powerful jets, incredible massage, and an exceptionable, beautiful finish. As for the cover, it is still in perfect condition. But then, since we live in the mountains with tall pines and snow all winter, I have a "cover" cover, from the cover store, that keeps the sap, pine cones, and weather from damaging it...a great inexpensive investment, suggested by Tony. Called them back and canceled the appointment. They showed up anyways to find the work had already been done. They even acknowledged the work was already done. Do NOT use this business for repairs. Trust me. We are locals in Gardnerville and went through a six week horrible Odyssey to get our hot tub fixed. The weather was 70 degrees when we started to try to get them to come and then 6 weeks later when they finally came it was five below zero and their repairs damaged our delicate spa computer board. They denied everything and tried to charge us for the board. We decided to be nice and meet them halfway. But we will never ever buy a single chemical or a hot tub from them. We really like the repair guy and he understands everything but he has a good gig there and we totally get that. End of story. I was in the Hot Springs Spa store yesterday... 9-26-15. I was greeted within a normal amount of time. I asked how I'd go about getting a new cover for our existing jacuzzi. The lady had 2 choices, a new cover at $450.00 or a used for $250.00. We decided on getting the used cover, the man at the counter said he wasn't sure he'd be able to find it nor even tried looking for it. We then told him we were strapping it to our car, he told us he wouldn't let us do that. Lastly, he mentioned he would be in our area "Someday", he had another customer near our home town... I asked when "someday" might be a possibility... he said he had no idea. We left with money in our pocket, not his. read more

Very disappointed in this business. When we purchased this hot tub for our second home in Tahoe we informed the owner Tony we didn't want to personally fool with the service of the hot tub and just wanted it clean when we got to the house. Tony sold us a hot tub and said that would not be a problem. We didn't negotiate the price of the tub based off this and wanted it to be fair for both sides. The service has been sub-par at best. Many times having to call them to come clean the tub and always an excuse. Most recently was the final straw when our renters were there and they said the hot tub stunk and water was green. Your Spa Store had not been there in weeks. Took 24hrs to talk to anyone and they wouldn't let me talk to owner. The person on the phone said they were understaffed and couldn't do anything. Then an email from the owner said someone would come out that night. 48 hours later still no one there and communication stopped. Worst part is our renter is the one suffering and his service is making us look bad to them. We called EJ from Tahoe Pool Service and he was there in less than one hour. This place is the biggest joke yet. I called these so called professionals during the second week of January looking for some help on a hot tub repair that I had to offer. The gentleman that was helping me, Tony, started out to be extremely helpful and for some reason, I knew it was too good to be true. He looked up the part for me that I needed based on what I was telling him via my hot tub maintenance man and told me I would save around 60.00+ dollars if I ordered the part myself; which I was going to do. I decided not to order the part because it said on the website that if it was the wrong part, it could not be returned. I called Tony back and told him to please order it because he would be able to return it if it was the wrong part and he gladly did so with no credit card or money held from me. He stated to me that the part most likely would be in on that following Monday, which was MLK holiday and after thinking about it, most places were closed. This particular satelitte store, which is located out in Round Hill, is also closed on Monday and Tuesdays of every week so I knew that if the part arrived on Monday, I would not get a call until that Wednesday. Wednesday arrived and by mid-afternoon, I had not received a call from Tony so I called him. He stated that he had a lot going on at the moment because of the dual days off and he would return my call in about 1.5 hours. Guess what, no call in 3 hours so I called him back. He said the part had arrived but he would not be able to schedule the actual repair until the following Tuesday as that was the first availability. At that point, I started to do some further research and found an email address to the main store in Carson City and emailed that location and was connected up with the owner of both locations, Mark. Talk about a clown act. Listen to this one. We emailed back and forth for over 30 minutes and by the end of the conversation, Mark guaranteed me that he would make sure Tony made his committment good. He said that Tony was new and there was a lot of things he did not know and that he should not have even done what he did; order the part without a credit card or even help me out because my hot tub was not a HOT SPRING SPA. I told him if Tony was trained and he said it only takes common sense. I told Mark you cannot put a new person in a facility alone without training and expect him to react the way you would without proper training. Keep in mind that my hot tub was now down for a week with no water in it and a borrowed space heater hooked up to an outside electrical outlet to keep it from freezing over. I went a whole additional week with no hot tub and no repair. Come that following Monday, I emailed Mark down in the Carson City store and now all the sudden, he knew NOTHING about what I was talking about. He could not find me on the schedule for Tuesday and now he was completely stupid of our entire email conversation we had the week before. Talk about common sense, I think this whole company lacks that skill. He could not help me because now I am not on the schedule, he does not remember what we talked about and I did not pay in advance for the part that Tony so kindly ordered for me several weeks prior. I told Mark, I refused to pay for the part because he could not even get anyone over here to fix the hot tub as promised. Do you know what he did next: HE HUNG UP ON ME. Nice company. There were many other events that happened prior to him hanging up on me I just wanted to give you an idea as to how flaky this place is. I was also quoted an estimated cost of 300.00 and when I called another company after the lovely and professional behaviour of Hot Spring Spas in Carson City, NV and Round Hill, Nv. the true quote would have been almost 1000.00 or more to fix my hot tub, which is still not fixed as of .1.31.19. read more

We purchased a new spa cover 4 years ago and it has completely cracked. I realize the warranty doesn't cover the cover for this long, but we have another hot tub with a cover the same age that shows no cracking. In an attempt to replace it I was told it would be almost $500. A compromise offer was presented to me for 1/2 off. In checking with Amazon.com I found the same cover for $299 - $200 less than the amount I paid 4 years ago. I should have gone to Amazon 4 years ago. And Amazon offered free shipping. read more

Dont ever buy anything from this place. I dont know how they even have a business license. They probably lied and manipulated the city in order to get it. If you ever do buy anything from them or have them do a service check your bill 10 times. We had a part replaced on our spa .When there employee was done he gave me an invoice. So I paid in cash and he hand wrote me a receipt. Come to find out they dont accept cash. Then around 3 to 5 months later we get a call saying we didn't pay our bill. Why did it take so long to relize our bill wasnt paid hmmmm, cus they are thieves .So I looked for the receipt but couldnt find it. As humans we lose things we aren't perfect . So they kept hounding us and hounding us to pay it. So my wife worried about our credit and feeling obligated went down and paid them again. Over $600. Horrible customer service after they get your money. We bought a hot tub a year ago, and last month the pump which is under warranty started leaking. It took numerous phone calls and weeks to even get someone to show up to look at the pump. And weeks later our pump is still leaking, our hot tub is not usable, and no one has come out to replace their faulty pump. I would never do business with them again, and I would strongly advise that others don't do business with them as well. They have the most atrocious customer service I have ever seen. Tony and his staff are absolutely amazing! Not only did he give me the best deal on the hot tub I've had my eye on for years, but he really went above and beyond to make sure I was extremely happy. I live about an hour and a half from his store in Carson but he made sure to stay open late for me just to make sure I loved the spa before he delivered it. The delivery was fast, and the techs that delivered it explained everything i i need to know about owning the hot tub and we're very helpful. They made sure all my questions were answered! Plus after they left, the owner Tony called me to make sure everything went well and that I was happy with my purchase. Couldn't have asked for a better experience :) I definitely recommend anyone looking into buying a hot tub to stop by and see them. Unlicensed contractor! Steer clear of this one. We tried them but quickly found his service horrible and expensive. Broke our cover. Left the hose running in our spa which ruined it, flooded our yard, and the neighbors. Ordered a new cover - claimed my husband "approved" the order but he never spoke to him. We decided to get rid of the spa, so we cancelled service. The spa was picked up right away. Numerous months later he tried to bill us for monthly chemical and treatment services he claims her performed - LONG AFTER IT WAS GONE...REALLY??? How'd he do that?? It's a mystery - the reappearing spa - someone must be bringing one over, filling it up, right before he comes to our place??? REALLY?? I'm sure it's the neighborhood bear... Unhappy we are disputing it and asking for proof of service, he is harrassing our neighbors, friends family, you name it (he goes on to the internet to pull anything about people related to you! - REALLY??). SCARY! He also has other "F" ratings on Angies List. Guess we should have checked before allowing this "person" to step foot on our property. He doesn't have a business license or contractor's license (lapsed in 01/2010) in California either. Warning...warning.... If I could click ZERO stars that would be our feedback. read more

Tony does not honor warranty items, tells you he will take care of you but FAILS to order parts, repair items, does not back up any work, never calls if anything is ordered. The hot tubs he pushes are flimsy on the side, warp and it took months to get replacements. The lights in the tub have gone out and he never order the part when it was in warranty but waited two months always saying it was on order but he never ordered anything. I called the store to have a hot tub installed in my new vacation rental property in South Lake Tahoe. The owner Tony came out to my place, did a site inspection, and made suggestions for the type of model to get. I made the purchase and they came out the following weekend to deliver and install the spa. I had some issues with the electrical system and they figured it out for me and got the tub working. The tub itself is beautiful and very comfortable. Tony is also sending someone out to replace a incorrectly sized breaker at a very reasonable cost. Overall I'm very happy with the product and the service. Would certainly recommend Tony and his crew for hot tub sales and installations in South Lake Tahoe. read more
