I believe they are tying their best but so far the service has not been great or what I had be sold. Let's start with the positives: the initial process of setting up the opening of the pool was easy and responsive. I work crazy hours in the hospital and they were very accommodating of my work schedule. They have been accommodating to send people/techs there when asked. Thank you for that, it's much appreciated! The items that could be worked on: 1) Follow up communication. It took two to three weeks for them to complete the pool opening, we had many visits with techs where they stayed for 5 minutes and promptly left. We were not given updates or told what happened. When I spoke to the friendly front desk staff person on the phone today I was finally told that what happened was the techs had to leave as they "ran out of time. Which is why there were frequent visits." 2) When I initially signed up for these services, I had asked if I could meet with the techs to learn about the proper ways to manage and care for the pool. I was told this was not a problem and they could set this up. Unfortunately, this never happened. 3) When the pool was finally opened, we still noticed a fair amount of debris and dirt. The clarity of water was also questionable. We called and were told this was the "best they could do and the pool was ready to use." They noted that the equipment sometimes brings debris into the pool. 4) The condition of the pool had since gotten worse and I had to have a family member call while I was at work yesterday to see if we could get an emergent service as the pool was becoming green. A tech was dispatched, when I got home I realized the pump was turned off. We had no idea why it was off or if we could use the pool. No one had called or left a voicemail. It wasn't until I called this morning and asked about what was going on that I was notified that could be an issue with the skimmer, filter, or pump. There were no issues with the skimmer, filter, or pump when the pool was initially open. If there were, no one had told us. 5) Lastly, through all of these services I was never given an itemized bill for services or contract to sign. While not a finalized quote they estimated that opening would be roughly $1800 which is significantly more than what I was quoted. I expect even more cost now for possible diagnostics and repairs. You can look through my previous reviews of all local businesses, I try hard to find the positives. I also gave a lot of trust to this group because of other reviews and relied on their expertise. Quality of work was crap. PVC pipe was taped instead of seal properly with epoxy therefore it leaked again. read more

I am updating my review because the owner reached out, and I appreciate a business owner who is willing to at least talk about it. It's sad that a review had to get me here, but I am appreciative that he sent Jeremy back out. He did a good job, including cleaning the salt chlorinator apparently, skimmed it, brushed it, and vacuumed all normal parts of pool openings and I had about 3 weeks, I guess, in between and did a lot of work with it. Still not an opening worth $500, leaving it the way they did. Had they done it the way they re-did it today, I wouldn't have complained. read more

We called Battle Born when all the other local pool companies told us there was a two and a half year wait. Jordan came out and gave us a very reasonable estimate and timeline. Our hot tub needed leveling and Battle Born seemed to be the only company locally that would agree to help shim it up. Quoted me a good price to move the unit off the pad, let me clean the pad up a bit, and put it back on the pad and level it. But the snow wouldn't stop, for weeks, so we were delayed, and on top of it the owner's wife, who does the scheduling, was ready to have a baby any day, so naturally there had to be some latitude on the scheduling. No problem. We finally did connect, they arrived with a team of guys, but it was too heavy to move off the pad without some major equipment in our backyard. So they lifted it enough to put some plywood shims under it - and leveled it! It wasn't everything that I'd like to have done, but you gotta work around things sometimes. They charged us a little more than I expected for what they did but after years of fighting with the tub it was finally leveled. After they left, I noticed that the tub was skewed on the pad when they lifted it (I know...but still). I asked if they could stop by sometime and scoot it back, but we haven't worked that out yet. By looking at their Instagram posts they normally install full sized swimming pools so I'm sure it's not a big priority. Hopefully they'll get to that. So a local company, obviously experienced, a solid guy running the team and employees seemed to be happy working for him. I was surprised how promptly I got a response and an immediate window to diagnose the problem. I had previously contacted the company that sold me the spa. They estimated 30 days before anyone would be available. Battle Born was contacted on Friday. Inspection was scheduled for Monday by 9am. Our pool was in dire need of a re plaster. We called numerous business in the area and either didn't get a response or they could not fit us in for the season. Jordan answered our call and was able to squeeze us in although he already had a busy season. With the news of freezing tonight my boyfriend started to drain our pool this morning. Unfortunately the drain adapter for the garden hose that came with the pool was defective and leaking. After several attempts, he turned to the internet and found an ad on Craigslist for pool service. Joey picked up the phone when he called and was friendly wanted to come right away. Had a 12 year old Hot tub that sat for the past year+. In the past 6 mos the water emptied to a quarter of capacity. Called Battle Born and Jordan was out the next day. Spotted the issues immediately...the two pumps had bad gaskets and with the tub empty, we couldn't see the issue. Jordan was all over it. Found the problems but what we didn't know was the manufacturer was out of business. Housing unit was unavailable. Jordan took one of the units and had two manufactured to the specs required. Awesome!! Came back and installed. Repaired other issues we encountered and the tub is like new. Jordan was outstanding, "workaholic" and truly knowledgeable. When we were graced by their presence they only did half of the job because they were too busy. The owner Jordan throws childish tantrums when he is questioned about their lack of service.
