Staff is excellent. Came here right before Christmas in search of some particular gifts I had seen online. Both of the guys helping me were very helpful and the definition of superb customer service. I really appreciate seeing employees dedicated to customers and willing to interact and assist. If I would need to go to Hot Topic again, I would choose this location ahead of a closer one because I feel I can steadily rely on the quality of service given. read more

The customer service sucks every single time I am here, and I just came here yesterday with my boyfriend because he is obsessed with Funko Pops (they have tons of them here), and no one acknowledged our presence in the store. They didn't greet us or even say anything to us, and the one young girl who was working helped a young girl find a Panic at the Disco! shirt, and she seemed so annoyed when she walked her to the back of the store. After "helping" the young girl, the employee literally brushed right past me and did not even say one word to me. Nice way to treat customers, apparently they pretend we are invisible. If you want to buy band shirts, this is your place to go, but don't expect the employees to really help you. Anytime you ever ask if they have more of a size in the back, they say no because all of what they have is out on the floor... Also, most of the time, they won't even say that they can check another location for you or that they can call you when they get more in, instead, they just walk away from you. Very annoying location, but since this store caters to teenagers, teenagers usually don't give a crap about customer service. read more

Recently visited this Hot Topic. It's a great store, it's got more wrestling shirts than most. Only issue I have is that the store is a bit claustrophobic though when it comes to navigating in the store. The stuff they have on sale is great, especially when Christmas is here. Service here is a hit or miss type of thing. Today was a huge miss. The two girls at the counter weren't helpful at all. The one that was ringing me out responded to my questions with an attitude as if I knew how their store runs. But what stood out was the fact that when I got up to the counter both made it very obvious that they didn't wanna help at all. They looked at each other trying to decide who will ring me out and they both made excuses. This is why I don't like visiting this store. I usually go to the Rosemont location. All I needed was one shirt for a themed event. The salesperson kept pressuring me to buy something else (ANYTHING else), but he was bearable at least and backed off after I said Im good with just the one shirt. Then the manager rung me out, she was AWFUL. She literally SNEERED "you just want ONE shirt?!?!" like I'm some kind of loser. Like ya, just do your job and ring me out. Holy baby Jesus! This is a an amazing store with wicked awesome stuff. The staff is so nice and helpful and the atmosphere is a all around good. it is no longer for the goth or demo or punk clicks. You will see all American girls go and shop till they drop with accessories. People just can't get enough of Hot Topic....neither can i!! read more

Excellent service at this location and online. They didn't look at me all judgey (unlike the Zumiez a few stores down) when I went to return shoes once. I had once ordered a couple of stuff online and they forgot to include one shirt- I called and they sent it next day air. My gripes is with the quality of some of the clothing. The brand they use for their T-shirts is called "Bay Island Sportswear" (Made in Honduras). They fit well and the print lasts well enough but I've tried on subpar clothing- one shirt had a sleeve tighter than the other. Also they just don't last after a few washings it pills and fuzzies. The cloth is too thin and not stitched tightly enough. Also the collar gets wavy a bit. Keep in mind a need is not a want. You would be much better off with buying a plain Mossimo t-shirt from Target. They fit just as well and are much higher quality and are half-the price of these Hottopic tshirts. I have no problems with the Social Collision jeans I've brought here. VERY comfortable for skinny jeans (spandex) long lasting and high quality. read more

I love Hot Topic! The service is great, and the employees are very energetic and friendly. They are always willing to answer any questions you may have and are very easy to talk to. They have amazing sales quite frequently, and are constantly bringing in new products. I also love when they reward Hot Cash every time you buy $30 worth of items. They carry products that are sure to appeal to everyone alike. =) read more

Their T-shirt selection was terrible. The materials of the shirts are terrible. I bought a shirt from here and put it in the wash and there was a hole. Like these shirts couldn't handle a simple washing machine. The ink on the shirts feel burnt. I don't like the quality of merchandise here, it is all garbage. The employees here are all teenagers and they don't even know who Red Hot Chili Peppers are, and they sell their shirts there! Plus their shirts are $21.95, that is too much for T-shirts. I rather go to the mom and pop shop that is a block away. read more

okay now this is a store that i have been shopping at since it opened back when i was a kid. a place to buy band shirts instead of online or at the concerts is awesome!!! they usually have a great selection of everything from slayer shirts to new found glory shirts. they always have a clearance section and if you catch it on the right day they'll take an additional 50% off any clearance items. the staff is always friendly and willing to help you from the second you walk in the door. i love that the staff is always colorful with awesome tattoos and bright hair. i have never had an issue at this store!!! i like that they have the rewards card which when you earn enough points you get an extra 15% off regular priced items. i also think it's rad that they have gaming t-shirts and stuff like that. read more

This store has a couple of problems- for one, you can barely breathe because it's the size of my living room. Two- the staff there is annoying, because they give fake smiles and proceed to eye you down or ignore you throughout your entire experience. They give off a VERY bad vibe, except a couple of people.
