I don't recall ever writing a review on a Chinese delivery place, but this one is a solid choice! The General Tso's Chicken had great flavor with a decent amount of spice unlike so many other places. The Crab Rangoon was perfectly crispy and had a delicious blend of cream cheese and crab (imitation of course) and also did not have the overly sweet flavor that seems so common elsewhere. The "fried rice" substitution with the entree was simply steamed rice browned with egg and a touch of oyster sauce, I believe, but it was tasty. As soon as I called I found out my hotel in Killeen was outside their delivery area. They said they could charge a delivery fee of $8 and still complete the order. Despite the fee, I thought if it was that far away surely my food would be cold and soggy, so I wasn't sure I wanted to go through with it. I'm glad I did, though. On a Sunday evening, it took right at 30 minutes from them to my hotel room door on the 4th floor, impressive. And the best part, everything was hot, crispy, and delicious. When it comes to Chinese delivery, you'd be hard pressed to do better than Hot Wok, especially in this area. I ordered a Pork LoMein dish. I'm no stranger to Asian food and this was pretty awesome. It was just the right amount of seasoning and the noodles were prepared expertly. But it was too good.... STORY TIME: An hour after I dined at this establishment, my stomach starts to feel.... funny. I decided not to consume anything for the duration of the day. Around 2300 I suddenly start feeling cold. Already enduring a slight pain in my stomach, I also feel a nasty headache begin its assault and I'm shivering; I decide to go on WebMD to find out what's wrong with me. WebMD determines I have an internal hemorrhage or food poisoning.... Well not long after I found out what my problem is, I take a drive to Wal-greens and purchase a bunch of pedialite to stay hydrated in preparation for what my ass will endure. I never made it to work the evening of the following day. I was immobilized for about 36 hours, my brave wife helped me a lot. Have ordered here for years and always loved it over the other places around Killeen/cove. Haven't been in a few months so drove from Killeen to get it again and worst experience ever. Chicken fried rice with tofu like we always order and the tofu was raw and the food was drowning in grease. The whole bag was soaked. I called to get it fixed and they said it's always raw tofu unless specified. We've never had to specify on a fried order that we wanted the fried tofu. Didn't offer to fix it just sat there on the phone. Idk what happened to this place but won't be returning. read more

Decent Chinese food! We ordered take-out via their website, and it arrived in about 45 minutes. Crab rangoons and eggrolls could have been a little crisper, and there definitely wasn't any sauce on the orange chicken, but - the chicken fried rice was delicious, the shrimp and chicken stir fry was awesome, and so was the wonton soup. We had lots of leftovers, and we'll definitely order again. Something ridiculous happened with our driver though. On our porch, he answered his personal cell phone and then - to our shock - set up a booty call. Or at least we think he did. By some of the previous reviews, I was a little iffy about ordering from this restaurant. But I'm glad I did. It was my first time ordering from this restaurant and I ordered it to be delivered.I was glad that the menu was conveniently on this yelp app, so I knew what to get. I ordered their General Tso's Chicken, the Vegetable Lo min and the Cream Cheese puffs on the side. Wow was I pleasantly surprised! I was told by the gentleman on the phone that my food was going to be delivered in 45 minutes but it got here in 20! It was very quick! My food was hot and delicious. Hot Wok is usually my go to for Chinese take out. The service is always good, and they are quick. It's pretty standard as far as Chinese take out goes. We usually get the combo plate with General Tso's, beef lo mein, and crab puffs. It's always good and lots of food. That will feed my husband, myself and two kids with leftover. Last night, my daughter had a friend over who likes orange chicken, so I deviated from my standard order. I didn't really like the orange chicken, so next time I'll stick to my usual. read more

Just a friendly heads up to my friends in the Fort Hood area if you're thinking about ordering food from this place don't get it for delivery they don't mention in their menu but they charge you for each mile that you are away for your delivery but if you happen to live on the base they just charge you for how many numbers you have in your address this turns an average $16 meal into a $31 meal speaking from experience, and just thought you should know. Personally I would not order from them. But if you do for the love of God don't tip the driver, the female on the phone said he's pocketing that $15 difference. Never had a problem with this place while dining in or carry-out. I usually opt for the spicy chicken (chicken and zucchini in a savory sauce, yum!) and my husband's a huge fan of the general Tso's. From other peoples' experiences with them running credit card charges not business related, we only pay cash just to make sure nothing like that happens to us. If you carry-out, be prepared for LARGE portions! The styrofoam containers are filled to the brim (sometimes overflowing) and that is what makes this place epic--it actually feeds my husband until he's about to pop at an even more epic price. What a horrible experience I just had. I'm been in Copperas Cove for over 20 yrs. I was starving. I paid the extra $5 for delivery and my food was over cooked. The chicken was crackling chicken. Hot Wok is quite awesome, as far as Chinese delivery in Copperas Cove this place is hands down the best by far. The portions are equal to better then anywhere in town but the quality is much better then most other places and the price is more then reasonable for the diner menu. Hot Wok left a menu in our mail box so my husband and I gave it a shot. No. We both got the companion. Came with soup, egg roll, crab raggon, sweet/sour chix fried rice and a second meat of choice. Husband got pork i got broccoli beef. Husband said the pork was way over salty. My beef didn't taste like broccoli beef, was more like a glossy beef broth. Fried rice tasted like rice a roni without the season packet. Wasn't bad just not fried rice. Chicken wasnt horrible, egg roll was an egg roll and crab ragoon was good. Soup was not eatable they even put yellow dye in it. We are military and new to the area so we tried it, won't go back. Comimg from Cali, New York and Tacoma we know good Chinese and this isn't it, but i can see how people like this if they've never had real Chinese food. Daughter (19 yr old) went to the restaurant with a friend. They ordered and didn't know which rice was better so told the waitress 'surprise us'. The waitress got angry and said "fine steamed rice". Another staff member seated them, but the restaurant refused to allow them to eat in the restaurant. They forced them to take their food to go, without telling them what they did wrong (other than not knowing which type of rice to order). The restaurant didn't even give them any eating utensils. I've been wanting to try this place but I have been avoiding it because of the reviews. I rode by there a couple times on the motorcycle and noticed that they smell amazing from the road. I decided that I needed go ahead and give them a try. Our first impression was not so great. We decided to stop in after church. We were turned away because they stop taking dine-in orders at a certain time. That should have been posted on the door. A few days later I decided to give them another chance and order delivery. I like how they have a mobile app for orders. Our food arrived much faster than expected. We had a big order and everything was there. I ordered the shrimp lomein; It was very good. I'd defiantly consider ordering it again. My 6th grader ordered the chicken fried rice. I asked her to rate it. she gave it four and a half stars. My two little ones shared a kid's sweet and sour pork and shrimp. They loved it. My husband ordered the orange chicken and said it was bland at best. Before he finished eating, his stomach started hurting and he was in and out of the bathroom for the rest of the night. My 6th grader was feeling sick the next day and she threw up all over her bedroom floor. The sickness could be chalked up to all this crap going around lately. I decided to called today and the lady I spoke with told me that they could only issue a refund if I provide a doctor's note. I don't have insurance right now so a doctor's appointment is not an option. I feel that she could've at least offered a coupon or something.
