Hot Yoga Lounge is hands down the best studio I have been to in Florida. I have studied yoga for over 15 years, and taught yoga for more than 10 years. I have also studied at the top yoga studios in the country, and Hot Yoga Lounge is seriously up on the same level as these top studios. I was shocked to find such a gem in Palm Coast (go Palm Coast!). The co-owner Heather is a seriously talented teacher (I mean how many teachers can get 25+ people to show up at 5:45 am for a steamy hot yoga class?) She is great at modifying poses from beginning through advanced students. She will (safely) push you to edges you did not know you could go to. She is also absolutely amazing at teaching arm balances in a very easy and accessible way. I am also big fans of Gillian, Rose, Amber and Karen's classes (Karen is Heather's mom btw!) All of the teachers are really great, I just have had time to go to certain instructor's classes. The best part of class...the cold cloth with essential oil. I mean wow. Such a reward after such hard work. They also have kids yoga classes while adult classes are going on which is great when you want to go to yoga but don't have a sitter. Their Barre classes are also a great workout. I can't say enough good things about this studio. Check it out if you are in the area traveling, and if you're a local get a membership! I came across Hot Yoga Lounge while visiting my parents in Florida, because I can't just take a vacation and a WHOLE ENTIRE week off of yoga. I am an addict. It's pretty bad. Anyway, HYL had some coupons in my mom's local paper so I figured YAYYYY I'll feed my addiction. They offer nice discounts for newbies (25 days for $25, for locals) and occasional out of town coupons as well. The studio itself is very tiny - it is a small storefront on the upstairs of the building, right near Palm Coast Parkway and Belle Terre. It is a bit of a hectic intersection, but you can sneak in behind the bank. Inside the studio, there is a lobby which also serves as an area to stow your belongings. They lock the front door during class so that your belongings will be secure (so don't be late to class or you'll be locked out!!!). There are bathrooms you can change in, if you need that. There is only one studio, immediately to the right when you enter, and it is pretty small and fills up fast. It is long and narrow, so just room for two rows along each wall. The classes offered are a great mix of yin, flow, candlelight, and even kids classes. They have a pretty nice schedule with a variety of classes offered throughout the day, from 6 am to 6:45 pm. One word of advice - definitely bring a towel and water. I do hot yoga up in Chicago pretty much every day, and holy smokes are classes in Florida HOT (I know, duh, right?). If you are an out of town visitor and not used to the humidity, it is intense. They heat the room up to 110 degrees, but they also use humidifiers to make it even MORE humid. It is a great detox but very, very challenging. During my short visits in Florida I haven't found any particular "favorite" instructors here to speak of, but they've all been quite good. They know their stuff, push you hard and offer encouragement and hands-on assists when needed. I do wish that they'd offer a range of heated (maybe throw in some 80 and 90 degree classes throughout the day, rather than all being 100+), but it is a nice studio and a good place to get in a few workouts while I'm visiting. read more

I sampled almost every class in Hot Yoga Lounge. I loved it when the instructors integrated familiar rock and trance music in the class. All of the instructors have something unique to offer. I recommend going to all of the classes and receiving instruction from a different instructor. Rosie gave one on one attention in her class to make sure every one was receiving proper form. She made the challenging and complex seem easy. Dana gave a thought provoking lesson in her vinyasa slow yoga class. I wish I had taken more classes from the other wonderful instructors yet my time was limited. read more

Very challenging Friday evening class. Was happy to push myself beyond my limits but was sweating profusely.

One of the best yoga studios solely for the quality instructors and their guidance of practice at all levels within the same class. A healthy pace for realizing one's potential, as well as challenging enough to achieve fulfillment at the close of each class. Respective instructors at Hot Yoga Lounge Palm Coast contribute their dynamics within the class, from Gillian's calming strength to Dara's creative spirit, Amber's positive energy, and Heather's guiding power. A productive sauna session for the mind and body with a lasting post practice glow and calm to tackle your day or week ahead. A novice practitioner that realized increased strength, balance, and flexibility, achieving poses that I could not imagine within a six-week personal challenge. Being a plus size woman, I was intimidated and unwilling to do yoga. However after one class, I was hooked. The instructors strive to make everyone at all level feel successful and comfortable. I was very excited to attend so I could lose weight and gain flexibility. I was running 2 minutes late because of all the traffic lights and I come to the doors and they are locked. They should probably notify there customers that they close the doors right at the exact time of the class. I was not happy and I want my money back. read more

Was not impressed. I gave it a month. Studio is very cramped. The heat that is used made my nose run and I ended up needing a tissue during the entire class. I've been to another yoga studio in the area and their heat did not cause me to have any issues. The instructors are very knowledgeable, but not very friendly. There are only so many times I can assume someone is just having a bad day. Classes seem stuffy (physically and figuratively) nobody speaks to each other. It's almost like a funeral service. I do not learn well in this environment. They also keep the doors locked during class. I guess I understand that to a point, but I don't like feeling trapped. The bigger disappointment however, was when I took my 10 year old son to a class. Before we even started, one of the owners said "it's $5 for him today. We do this in case he's disruptive and we will not let him back in class ". That really should not have been said in front of him. He was not happy with that comment at all. Just because you see a kid, does not automatically mean they will cause a disruption. There have been men in some of the classes I have been too where they grunt and groan for the entire hour. That's way more distracting then a kid needing to walk off his mat and go in another room. So now I'm on egg shells and so is he. Can't talk, can't move on your mat too much, what if I fall cause I'm new and have no clue what I'm doing? Not a good learning environment at all. Might be fine for the experienced yogis but not for me. I would have only did 1 star but to be fair, the prices of the package deals are pretty good. Only reason I stuck with it for a month. Back to the other palm coast yoga studio where my kid is welcome and the heat won't kill me and people are genuinely happy to see me. read more
