They definitely earned their 4 stars.
My husband thought this was close from the Italo train station, so he made us walk, and it was a good 20-30 mins of me complaining about how we can try and figure out how to take the buses. DONT WALK HERE. Also, it takes about 5 mins to get to the bus to go to venice, and the bus ride is about 15 mins.
This hotel is right next to water, and when you walk into the hotel, its an old paradise-y feeling because they have fake plants all over the lobby and the colors are vibrant. All 3 guys we encountered at the front desk were very helpful with directions, advice, and bus time schedules.
The room was very nice and comfortable with a tiny balcony. The AC system turns off immediately when you open the balcony door. I had some problem with my balcony door, so we called reception, and within a minute there was a guy at our door with a ladder already! Impressive timing.
The tub is strange because it is super high and I swear I thought I could slip and die any time i enter or exit. Well it is good if you are taking a bath because you can practically raise a shark in that huge tub.

True story, last day there I had to rush through 10 minutes of breakfast to check out & catch the bus across the st. to the airport... i grabbed whatever was left of the bacon and eggs, good enough for 2 people, and the next girl stared at the bacon & egg dish for a good half minute, then put the 1 piece I left behind on her huge empty plate & went back to her seat LOLOL. If she see's this, I'd like to apologize. read more
