Hotel Burbank's downtown locale is its best feature. You're walking distance to a myriad of food & entertainment options. Another aspect we appreciated -- warm, welcoming service at check-in & at the end of our stay when stowing our luggage at the bell desk. But, there are a number of reasons I might choose another Burbank hotel on our next visit... The light switch in the bathroom automatically turns on a roaring loud fan & there isn't a way to shut it off. Also an issue is the bathroom were a few tiny flies in the shower (a minor issue since they were gone after we first ran the water.) Due to thin walls and/or old pipes, we could hear upstairs neighbors flushing their toilets when our room was quiet. Bothersome for light sleepers. Clean bedding, but the bed itself was not the especially comfortable or plush. Someone in my party next door reported tossing & turning all night. And since we're being extra nit-picky, I'll throw in Hotel Burbank's slow elevators, for good measure. Parking at the next-door structure is $29.

The cafe area was very clean and spacious

My son was invited to perform down the street at a local comedy club after he went viral on TikTok, (@zackofalltrades_) so we chose this hotel for its location. I am SO glad that we did. We drove so the secured parking garage was a huge plus, at $25 a day, it was worth the peace of mind. We arrived at 2 PM and were able to check in right away, which was really nice. Everyone was really nice and professional. The elevators are glass, so you get a really sweet view of the surroundings on your way up to your floor. Our room was right near the elevator, so that was convenient. There are two towers, we were in C. The room was really spacious and the beds were incredibly comfortable! I slept like a baby most nights that we were there. I loved the desk so that I could pull out my laptop and check my emails every day. Our first morning there we had breakfast in the cafe, the food was very generous and absolutely delicious! Every bite was satisfying. The icing on the cake was that a manager came over to us in the cafe and asked how our stay was and if there was anything she could do to make it any better. I have never had that happen at any hotel I have ever stayed at. To me that was top notch customer service, but it gets even better.... We stayed for 5 nights, on the 4th day/night, my son hurt his knee, we ended up at an urgent care in Santa Monica and they couldn't figure out what happened. He was in so much pain and could barely walk. We had to cut our sight seeing short. When we got back to the hotel, I got some ice and used one of my ziplock bags to hold it in. Thankfully he was able to rest relatively comfortably for a few hours. When he woke up just after midnight, he couldn't stand on his leg at all. He is 6'5" and very big, there was no way I could help him to the bathroom on my own. He called the front desk and asked if they had any wheelchairs that he could us. By 12:35 AM an associate was at our room with a complimentary wheelchair that we could take off property if we needed to. You have no idea how much that simple act of kindness meant to both of us. The last day of our trip was saved! By Monday morning when we checked out, my son's leg was doing better. I so appreciate the kindness of the staff at Hotel Burbank, we didn't know what we were going to do with him not being able to put any weight on his leg. I will never forget it and this will be the place we lay our heads every time we come back! If I could give this hotel 10 stars I would.

Not bad at all for an older Hotel. Me and my wife are staying here for our Anniversary on Valentines weekend and we like it. The check in was fast and easy and the guy hooked us up with a room with a nice view. They ask you do you want to stay high or low which is cool because most Hotels just put you where they want to put you. No jacuzzi, but they do have a sauna and the pool is nice and clean. they have a little zen garden area with the Koi pond and bridges. Looks like a place where people get married or take pictures for weddings. It's got a nice little vibe. It's a little dated, but it's still is nice and peaceful. It's also walking distance to plenty of restaurants and places to eat. One thing we did not like is that the sink in the bathroom smells really bad it's coming up from the pipes.

The parking structure was $25.49 before tax. There were two free EV charging stations in the structure. There was no one using the charging station when we stayed there on a weekday night. The hotel was outdated and big. Plenty of places to roam around. The garden in the back was beautiful with a koi pond. The swimming pool was dirty. The fitness center was a descent size. Stayed in a standard king room for $179.49 before tax. The bed really comfortable. The elevators were really neat as they allowed you to see outside. Recommend going to the 20th floor for the view. You can do that by taking the elevators to the 19th floor and walking up one of the stairs to the 20th floor. The doors to the stairs don't lock.

This place..... It's sad to watch its decline. But believe me, it has slowly declined and the powers in charge should be ashamed of themselves for it. All the furniture in the room is beat up, sad and old. The windows... show me receipts where you've paid to have them washed- I dare you! The thermostat- the numbers don't even light up anymore so it's a gamble what you're setting the temp to and the old window unit a/c will remind you of that vacation you took with your family in 1972 and the motel you stayed in. The vent in the bathroom.... loud enough to be heard from 3 floors away and it too hasn't been dusted/ cleaned since gas was under $2 a gallon. I've added a picture to this review. One can only wonder what that 'stuff' is on the wall next to the toilet paper holder.... and this was on one of the high floors and an 'executive king' room. Sweet chocolate christ this place needs some cleaning. It's down right disgusting. You'll regret staying here.

Esmeralda, the gal who checked me in late in the afternoon, seemed annoyed she was helping me after asking a few questions. Later that night the tub was dirty so went back down to reception and the gal who helped me (I'm sorry I can't recall her name-dark hair) who was so kind and helpful changed me room. I slept amazingly and was able to make my early morning appointment after checking out rested and ready for the day.

Do not stay here...do NOT stay here. They rented me a room with a broken bathroom door. I was an hour late to a very important commitment because both the knob and the bathroom door itself in my room were broken, apparently their Maintenance saw this door and thought this was ok(picture below). This negligence on their part trapped my keys inside and delayed me severely. More dangerously, that could have literally been me or someone else trapped inside a bathroom with a door that doesn't open, with no way for anyone on the outside to hear you. Staff was aloof and were not adequately concerned that I was unhappy with this. Think about that before you rent a room here.

The room is really outdated (furniture, TV, toilet, etc.), but this isn't an awful thing. Hate that all of the outlets are loose, whether it's in the wall or the outlets on the lamp... I had to use my portable charger to charge my phone. Ceilings are extremely low in hallways. Beds are OK, but not the comfiest. I found hair on the mattress but under the blanket, and I saw a noticeable stain on a pillow. Parking garage on premise, need to pay. Overall, not worth the $500 for two nights, but I appreciated the front desk staff and the convenience of the location to Warner Brothers Studio.

Parking was extremely inconvenient. The parking was in a different structure from the hotel. And the elevator was out of order.
    Leka W.

Although the hotel and the rooms were immaculate, it was the little details that made it uncomfortable. Our bed was hard as a rock. Also, parking is not within the hotel. You have to cross the street and go to a structure. And at the time we were there, the elevators were not working. Unfortunately, two thumbs down on this one.

I'm writing this review because I was not pleased with how a guest was treated at your hotel business today. We send our friends, family, and clients to stay at the location due to its convenient location to our business. After today's experience, which was the complete opposite of hospitality, we will no longer be staying with SpringHill Marriot on San Fernando Blvd. in Burbank. Has hospitality in the hospitality industry ended or something? Since when do we make hotel guests (who like to tip) hunt down and fetch their own luggage cart without offering assistance, let alone help locating cart? The guest, who is arthritic, called to ask for a luggage cart to her hotel room, was told to go find a cart no one was available to bring a luggage cart to her room. The guest just wanted to be able to check out & felt embarrassed trying to locate a luggage while hotel employees watched on and did not offer help. The woman Cara at the front desk could not be bothered to help either. So our guests Check in ALSO did not go smoothly. We had to get that fixed as well. More time wasted. I rarely write a bad review on Yelp but I strongly feel it is necessary this time. We literally opened the door and found another guest already occupying it. That is not just unacceptable -- it is a serious safety issue. We went back downstairs, shocked and frustrated. While we were standing there waiting, the front desk guy was checking in another guest and was extremely friendly to her, smiling and handing her a bag of goodies -- while completely ignoring us, even though we were clearly waiting and had just reported a major issue. Then another staff member came over -- rude, cold, and with zero apology -- and simply clicked around on the computer and handed us a new room key like we were the problem. The clerk wasn't outright rude, but for the first several minutes seemed pretentious, like I wasn't good enough to stay there. He didn't introduce himself or ask my name; I introduced myself and asked his name after check-in, and he warmed up a bit. It felt like I'd caught him doing something wrong or arrived before he was ready. I had to ask multiple questions because he didn't offer information or engage. My customer service was on point--his, not so much. I'd been driving all day and was exhausted, wearing very casual clothes, but he felt very judgey. I asked to see the rooms after reading reviews. The first was rundown and not worth the $150 he quoted. He kept going into the back office between questions, implying he was busy or nearly full (there was only one car outside). When I asked to see the other side of the hotel, which had allegedly been updated, he bragged about being fully booked, though I only ever saw three cars. Odd. The second room was just okay, but I was too tired to find another hotel, so I stayed one night. Few things frustrate me more than visible neglect and lack of detail. There were drywall screw heads popping out, scuffed walls, holes, and water-damaged bathroom drywall from a poorly placed glass shower door--crumbling onto the floor. The floor itself was dirty. The outer entry door was peeling badly, shedding bits of clear coating onto the floor and my hands. The blinds appeared to not have been cleaned in months--which should be done regularly. The bed frame was filthy--dust, debris, bits of wrappers and food. It was clearly dirty, with oils, handprints, and dried liquids (I'll leave that to your imagination). The closet doors, off-white, had visible hand grime. The disinfectant wipes I used were brown - yuck. The lamp was dusty, an outlet near the bed had a broken metal piece stuck inside, and both the bathroom vent and hair dryer were caked with dust. The dryer filter hadn't been cleaned in ages. The countertop above the mini fridge was detaching, the bathroom shelf was decaying, and the shower glass hadn't been cleaned. The creamy drip marks on the wall--hopefully conditioner or soap--remained, and the grout was mold-stained. A simple bleach spray would've fixed it. The shower water pressure was awful, with calcification that needs vinegar soaking. It also leaked from the stem. Meanwhile, the sink had too much pressure. The cleaning staff were wonderful--always offering help. The issues here clearly stem from management, not staff. I realize this isn't a four-star hotel and that my standards are higher than average. Having worked in property management and emergency response, I've been in many homes across all conditions and know what "clean" should look like. I attached photos (which don't even capture all of it) so others can decide for themselves. Public beds and showers should be cleaned frequently so dust, germs, and bugs don't build up. The initial clerk did warm up by the end, and wasn't outright rude, just awkward and pretentious at first. When I checked out, a different man was working. He was extremely pushy, insisting I stay longer despite me saying I had to get back on the road. Then he handed me a clipboard and said it was mandatory to fill out--a sheet listing my name, room number, and space for comments, stacked under previous guests' notes. I told him I'd review the hotel online instead. He insisted I fill in each section, so under "comments" I wrote "review on Yelp." Other than being pushy, he was friendly--but it was an annoying end to a stay that wasn't worth the cost. Not the worst stay I've had, but definitely not one I'd repeat.

We only needed a very small favor: to hold one bag for about 2 hours so we could take our daughter to Universal CityWalk to buy something before heading to the airport. Instead of showing even the smallest amount of empathy or understanding, we were treated as if helping a family with a disability-related situation was some kind of burden. The assistant to the office manager, Ariel Larios, displayed behavior that honestly felt far below the level of basic human decency and hospitality that anyone would expect from a Hilton property. There was no patience, no compassion, no willingness to help, and no effort whatsoever to understand the situation. The entire interaction felt cold, dismissive, and focused only on extracting money rather than helping people in need for a simple 2-hour request. What made this even more disturbing: * We are Hilton Diamond members * We stayed at this hotel in previous years * We clearly explained the disability-related difficulty * We only needed temporary short-term assistance * There is no clearly disclosed written policy online stating that short-term luggage assistance is unavailable unless you purchase a room Rather than showing courtesy or appreciation for years of loyalty to Hilton, we were effectively pushed into paying around $220 for a full room simply to receive basic luggage assistance for 2 hours. This experience made it feel like Hilton Diamond status means absolutely nothing at this property unless you are actively spending more money that exact moment. Returning customers, families with disabilities, and even basic human kindness appeared completely irrelevant. Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City should be ashamed that a simple request for temporary help turned into such a cold and humiliating experience.
