The front desk man Fernando is really the one responsible for making this a 4 star stay for us! He was so personable and pleasant, gave us an upgrade to the ocean view room and also helped us when we had to extend the stay by 3 more nights. The hotel is under new management and is undergoing renovation, the 6th floor is currently the only one with air conditioning. There was also only one working elevator. It's located very close to the beach and is still considered to be downtown Rosarito. They offer free breakfast, thankfully the servers were careful and made sure we didn't have any pork as we do not eat it per our religion so they made us breakfast separately. The room itself was very cute and you can tell they are really trying to please you and be attentive with housekeeping. Bed wasn't too bad, wish there was a fridge and more towels but house keeping did refresh several times even though they forget to leave hand towels. Overall it was a pleasant stay, can't wait till they finish renovating and put in the wellness center.

Ok, so the bed was fine, they provided a suitable blanket...... everything else is a bit of a circus haha I found myself pointing and laughing throughout the whole overnight stay. There's too much comedy here that would take a novel to talk about! I'm short.... no..... just don't stay here unless you're looking for a good laugh (Just keep your valuables on you since I hear there are no guar

Wow! Regarding all the bad reviews. Thank the good Lord for us, we didn't experience the filth, rodents or bed bugs. Our room was on the 2nd level near the elevators. But didn't hear anything. Of course this was few days after Christmas (wintertime), so bit dead. However, my major complaint would have to be, no heating. It's winter, walking distance from the ocean, had been raining all week and the AC was on too high at night. You know it's too cold when you even see the hotel clerk wearing a jacket shivering a little. We asked her if there was something they could do to turn it down or if there was a control setting in our room we didn't see, she said no sorry but we can give you extra blankets, so that helped. A portable heater would have been nicer. There were a few minor issues like static TV picture & there wasn't many English channels. Took awhile for the water to warm up- but it was backwards as in hot right, cold left. No mini fridge, microwave or Ice machine. We bought ice from liquor store down the street & threw it in sink for our drinks. Parking was one ground level only, not very big, so if you left, you could lose out on parking inside. Ridiculous for a large hotel structure. Elevators were very narrow. We'd wait for next one more than once. Only one plug outlet next to bed. All stupid petty complaints, but kinda important to some people. The good was it was clean, we had towels, the clerk told us if we need more towels, pillows, toilet paper etc, to just ask. So we were thankful we didn't experience the worst like filth, bed bugs or rodents. The free breakfast was Ok- better than typical continental ones with stale pastries & coffee. All & all it wasn't that bad. Any negatives, wasn't reflected on the staff, they did their best. The hotel management seemed more focused on the cosmetics & offering spacious dresser & closet space, but not on the obvious I mention earlier the necessities are sorta important. Don't know if I'd recommend, the price was a bit steep for what it lacked from the others I've stayed at.

We're do I start No parking with in the building (the one in property has limited parking) we had to park across the street in an empty dirt lot. Once we cross the street and got to the hotel through the back of building there is no clear directions where the elevators are. They have two elevators and one of them was out of service so you can only imagine. We have bought beers at the store and wanted ice they don't have an ice machine in property. The floors had stains and were obviously dirty The shower was filthy we found black long hairs and the drain had gunk from who knows what and how long ago. We stayed on the sixth floor and we could still hear everything happening on the street. Not a good stay will not ever stay in facility again and do not recommend.

The service we received was impeccable. From the first day at the front desk, Fernando was so friendly and welcoming. He was able to get us a room with an amazing view. It made the stay even better. The waiters in the kitchen were nice and accommodating for our breakfast choices considering we had a limited food selection due to our current diet. Dental work was a major factor in our food choices this trip since we were having a lot done. This is the first time I've stayed here and I was happy with it. It's currently going through remodeling with a new manager and it's getting better. There's still a long way to go but altogether this trip was great. It has a bit more improving to do before I could give it a higher rating. If I just judged the service I could give it a 5. If for the room alone I could say a 3.5-4. But without some great amenities like a great gym, a pool with better views and a more updated look, I have to be honest and give it a 3.

You get what you paid for! The room was spacious and clean, the breakfast was included with the room (only down fall same food for breakfast every morning), the pool area is nice and has good environment. We came during Rosarito fair so we heard all the concerts for the two nights that we were there until very late. So, if you are looking for a quiet oasis get away this is not the place for you. There location is good, with parking and taxis outside at all times. Overall a good experience for the price!

Horrible hotel super dirty I recommend to not walk barefoot on the carpet it was sticky and I don't think they vacuum it the door was broken you couldn't even see the bottom of the pool it was so dirty I think sleeping on the sand outside would have been better

People waiting in line for 2 hours to check in to their mouse infested room.  What a sad joke.
    Private P.

These people have stolen over $100 dollars from my girlfriend. We tried to cancel our booking because the hotel was an absolute turd and tried to force us to wait in a 2 hour line to check in. She still has not received her money back. Expedia is trying to get ahold of them to get her money back If you book this hotel beware, it is extremely shady. The corruption has clogged every toilet in the hotel and it is flooding into the lobby like in 'The Shining'. OK, Imagine letting a group of 1st graders run a hotel, they would run a more efficient operation. We received an email stating we have to check in from 3pm to 6pm or else we will lose our reservation and our money. So we arrive at 4pm and there is a 2 hour line to check in on our vacation. I have never seen such inept indifference to customer satisfaction in my life and I have traveled extensively. Someone kept farting in the lobby and i thought I was gonna throw up, although it could have just been pipelines spewing excrement into the ocean. The quality of the hotel can probably be compared to an average hotel in rural haiti or venezuela. Do yourself a favor and sleep in the gutter.

Great hotel for a get away. Not expensive, great view, centrally located. We weren't able to pair with WiFi for the TV in order to get Netflix and there is no phones in the room, so room service is non existent. But the staff is very accommodating and it's clean.

We were in a one bedroom with a full kitchen and daily maid service. The beds were comfortable. Not too hard. I love a firm yet not "European" firm mattress. There was a safe and a gas fireplace too. We were quite pleased with everything. We flew into San Diego then took an Uber to the border. Walked across the border, then took a taxi to the condo. We tried to get an uber but there must have been a cellphone reducer in the area. We had great service as we crossed the border but when we were at the corner with all the taxis, we couldn't get service. After haggling, we paid $30. (Uber was $20 but no biggie.) We didn't order a return pickup as suggested on the review sites since we didn't get an Uber. It wasn't necessary as there were cabs EVERYWHERE in Rosarita. And we could call for an Uber which was cheaper. We found out later that Ubers are banned in Rosarita but they are still there if you call. Either way, get a price before you get in. It is only a mile to town so we walked mostly but a taxi was only a couple dollars. They took USD as well as pesos. We didn't need to exchange much but you need small bills. No one can give you change in USD. The office exchanged some for us just so we were more comfortable, but we really didn't use much. If you did the math, you could save a few cents here and there if you use pesos vs USD at restaurants, etc. But if you use your visa, accepted in many places, make sure you tell them to use pesos (do not convert to US) otherwise you will end up paying more. Also use a card that doesn't charge you international exchange fees. There's a grocery store across the street next to the gas station that had pretty much everything we needed to eat at home for breakfasts and lunch plus beer, wine and coffee. The driveway is actually an offramp from the highway and heavily used to get onto the Free Road, so watch how and where you cross the road. Our concierge gave us a name of a taxi driver who took us to the wine route in Valle de Guadalupe. Jorge Diaz cell: 661 138 03312. He was awesome and reasonably priced. We chose the wineries but he normally chooses them if you don't have a preference. (Some wineries will not take you without reservations and some are closed on different days, so do your research and emails or call in advance if you want to choose your wineries.) I love to research, so I picked our breakfast place as well as the wineries and did the timing and directions. I just handed him a map with it marked off. That is important as you can loose GPS out there. The town is full of awesome taco places. Best Meat Taco: Tacos El Yaqui - Calle Mar del Norte, Rosarito, Mexico 50 Pesos for each Taco. Tacos Perrones come standard with beef, pinto beans, salsa), onions, cilantro and guac. But you can customized by asking to add or leave something such as peppers, radishes, etc. Long lines but AMAZING!!! Get a beer at the Mercado on the corner and meet the people you are in line with. We met a nice man the first time we went who gave us a bunch of tips about Rosarito. Best Fish tacos: El Taco Loco - Boulevard B. Juárez 97 Col. Rancho Chula Vista 22710 Rosarito We had the octopus tacos, the fish, and the spicy shrimp tacos. All amazing.!!! The salsas were hot and yummy too! Go to Mercado Del Mar to do a Tequila tasting. We learned so much about the differences between tequila styles. I had no idea. Located on the Free Road at Kilometer 29.5, look for the bicycle mounted on the highway divider. Almost directly across is the Mercado del Mar. Head into the market and then go to your left. Once inside, you'll find another large room with a massive selection of Baja California wines, different liquors, and 350(?) types of tequila. there are over 1,000 different types of liquor in the store. We took an uber there (a few kilometers south from the condo) on our way to Puerto Nuevo (Lobster Village) for cheap YUMMY lobster and delicious margaritas. That was another amazing experience. We chose El Guero from local suggestions. WOW. But first we looked at ocean view options. We ended up going to a place with delicious margaritas on the deck by ourselves... Well, there were gaviotas... We ordered a pitcher as the waiter told us it was the same price as two margaritas but my husband got an extra. It was a bit up, maybe midtown? I tried to find it but with covid... Maybe it is gone? My check in is gone as well or maybe it was the margarita... Cerveceria Tinta Negra was our go to place to try new Mexican beers. I love IPAs and many are doing an awesome job with them. We went to town via the beach (stairways use your card) and via the street.
