From a spa ‍, gym ‍, and bar to a convenience store , karaoke , games , and an on-site restaurant , there's something for everyone. The beach is just a short walk away , which made for gorgeous sunsets and easy morning strolls. Perfect for families ‍‍‍ -- they have a kids club , plenty of activities, and even kitchens in the rooms so you can cook your own meals if you want. I loved that you could spend the day lounging by the pool ‍, get a massage, enjoy live entertainment, or just chill with a coffee by the water . The staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. If you're looking for a getaway that's both relaxing and full of activities, Mayan Palace is definitely worth a visit . Can't wait to come back!

We are with in walking distance to the fish markets, shopping, bars and sunset views. The owners are super friendly and there are two black cats that like hanging around. This was the first building built in Rocky Point, the hideout of Al Calpone and some other shady characters. The parking is secure. Would highly recommend staying here if you want to be a part of history and do not need all the fancy condo living.

When we showed up at this hotel, which I had booked through Expedia, the clerk said that I shouldn't have done that, because it cost me $130 through Expedia when I could have gotten it for $90 if I had just called the hotel directly to book a room. The room the clerk gave me had no shampoo, conditioner, coffee, bar soap, nor a knob for the bathroom door. And the shower stall had no grab bar, so my elderly mother didn't feel safe using the shower there, without anything to hold on to in case the floor got slippery, potentially putting her in danger of a serious bone break. We stuffed socks into the hole in the bathroom door where a knob should be to give each other privacy when using the bathroom. The parking lot is gravel instead of blacktop, so a little bit tricky to walk on, as the little gravel could shift on you while walking in the parking area. Could've been better, but the beds were comfortable to sleep on, solid yet soft, and they were clean, so I can't give this place any less than two stars, because the beds at least were satisfactory.

We had daily cleaning service, fully stocked modern kitchen and our master bedroom was very spacious with a jet bathtub, walk in shower for 2, and a nice size closet. Our daughters had a nice bedroom with private bathroom, they had 2 queen size beds in there bedroom. Only issue was the master bedroom was warm and could not get the room to cool down. Wifi is sketch but just got to reconnect every few hours.

We recently booked Condo Topaz B907 at Las Palomas Phase 1, and it was completely uninhabitable due to a horrific, overpowering odor inside the room. Even the resort housekeeper openly admitted to us that the room has a chronic, terrible smell and that the administration is fully aware of the issue. Yet, instead of fixing the problem or pulling the room from the rental pool, management continues to book it and charge premium rates to unsuspecting guests. We had to get Expedia involved to rescue us and move us to another resort (Esmeralda) because Las Palomas refused to properly handle it. To make matters worse, Las Palomas management refused to refund our $212.00 resort fee, which we paid in cash. They fraudulently claimed that WE were the ones canceling the stay, completely ignoring the fact that we were forced to flee a defective room. They stole our cash fee for amenities we never used. Save yourself the headache, smell, and stress. Avoid this dishonest resort and specifically refuse unit Topaz B907! If you must stay at Las Palomas DEMAND a different unit if they try to assign you to Topaz B907!!

Amazing first-ever stay at Peñasco del Sol! Booked the king…read moresuite with beach view and balcony, which is a one-bedroom with a pull-out sofa in the living room. Room was large and very clean; bed must have been a California king (since it was bigger than my king-sized bed). Kitchen area had a decent sized mini-fridge with an actual freezer, and a microwave. Interior walls are concrete/stucco, so I would imagine rooms are quiet even during the busy season. Our balcony was really only deep enough for standing room, not sure this is true for all rooms, but that was the only down-side. View was spectacular. All the staff was extremely friendly, and the bell person was especially informative. The included breakfast offered fairly minimal but well rounded selections; portions were ample--and delicious! They also offer an additional (paid) breakfast menu. Another on-site restaurant off of the casino area (La Arena 3C) was suuuuper good with amazing specials and happy hour pricing. On Taco Tuesday: three shrimp tacos and a chicken taco; three mini-quesadillas; a large bottle of jamaica aqua fresca; a beer; and a dessert special with two carajillos (coffee cocktails) and a small cake all came to $26.04. Ridiculous. We obviously ate there twice. There's a cute little "beach" area on the property just past the pool that overlooks the sea and has tables with umbrellas and lounge chairs, or daybeds. All with food/drink service. Perfect lounging (napping?) area. Since we were only visiting for two days we never left the resort property, and were perfectly happy with what was available to us. There is a drug store just across the street for water and other needs, but we brought all our own. Can't wait to come back and stay here again and explore the town!

At check out said they never took a deposit and they had taken $480 but couldn't find it . Literally every part of the stay was terrible . They said they didn't have valet parking but the guy outside said if we pay tune $500 pesos that he can tell receptionist to give it to us and then paid $30 each car for valet . I been staying at this hotel plenty of times in the past . Absolutely will never stay here again. Not sure how it changed so much in 1 month since our last stay was in early June of this year and in July it's totally changed. Never never never again!!!!

The sandy beach is the cleanest in Mexico, the tides are extreme so the beach and view are ever-changing. The park is large, flat, sandy. No palm trees or green except by the hot tub. It is very well staffed; the same faces every year to help with a problem. Security all night long; we see him walking all night with his flashlight. There is a community-managed 'Social Club' wiht Karaoke, Bing, LRC, Zumba and Line Dance. There is also a nice group of every-speed bicyclists in the winter months. Plus potlucks for special events. Nice Hot tub and showers.laundry. Vendors come through with propane, water, shrimp, breakfast burritos. This is a GREAT place to have work done on your RV! Paint, repairs, upholstery! I'm rating it a 5 because of the cleanliness, safety and location. It is what it is, it is NOT a palm oasis, but it is a well managed park in a great location.
