Contains cancer causing chemicals? I'm new here but, what??
    Mychel E.

Wow. I see why this place got three stars. Old, smelly, sheets are dirty. The lobby is trying to look nice BUT bar and restaurant wasn't open. The stairs were the nicest thing about this place and we only took the stairs because we were afraid to ride the elevator. This place has a bad smell. It's in desperate need of some major renovations. I can see this place as the setting of a horror movie. Old carpeting and uneven floors that creak with every step you take. Dimly lit and grungy looking. The area is terrible. Lots of businesses closed and buildings for lease. We honestly did not do enough research before arriving. Like the other reviews mention, the window a/c unit is so loud. This place gave me a headache just being in the room for an hour. We arrived late and had no other choice but to stay the night. We were both itchy after sitting in our original room for a few minutes and asked to change rooms. Concierge was nice enough to switch us. The second room was better but not by much. We cancelled the rest of our stay and found a hotel for double the price down the road. Worth it. We went through a third party booking company so cancelling the rest of our reservation was such a pain.

I was looking for a boutique but not too expensive hotel to stay at for the weekend, and found Hotel Fusion a 3-star hotel. I wasn't expecting a 4-star experience so everything was in line as expected. It's a great place to have as a home base as you explore the city, but not the most ideal if you want to spend time to hangout in your room. Staff was courteous and check in experience was good Cleanliness was alright I booked on Agoda and got a great price so it worked out very well for me. I'd say it's best for business people, individuals or maybe a couple who's just using it for sleeping. Note: some rooms are better than others. Some rooms have outward facing rooms, and some face the internal AC units. Some have AC and others don't. Request specific things if you can.

one shot of jameson and a chaser

came in for a quick shot... charged me double & told me thats how they do it there so be warned the bar is a scam and theres much better bars in the area. they didn't let me know one shot was going to be the price of a double before charging my card.

This is a modern looking hotel which is inviting the moment you step into the lobby. They have a small lounge/seating area, a bar (not currently open due to covid, but seating is available), and a restaurant upstairs (also not open due to covid). Customer service at the front desk was pretty standard... gave us the basics of what we needed, but not really efficient, or going out of their way to be helpful/friendly. The elevators require you to insert your key card in order to reach your desired floor (another guest had to help us figure that out since it would never stop on our floor). The room is clean and has decent amenities, but they gave us an accessible room (which we did not ask for), everything was a lot lower, ie. hooks, peephole, closet hangers, etc. Not a big deal, we're not the tallest people. But the layout and spacing of the room was awkward, and that became somewhat problematic. There was a large space on one side, and on the other side, not much space at all. On one side of the bed, a table and minifridge and seat, on the other side, nothing (a small table would have been helpful). And the corners of the bed were low and hard (wood/metal/ not sure), so I got a few bruises on my legs bumping into these during my stay. The fan/AC was a window unit, and it was pretty loud.. but necessary because it gets stuffy inside. But at least the rooms have temperature control, which I appreciate. The bedding was clean and comfortable, they even have a pillow menu (hypoallergenic, down, eco-friendly, memory foam... see my pic for descriptions). They have 12 noon checkout, and the location of the hotel in union square is ideal, with great restaurants and venues nearby. For a good price, I'd stay here again.

My mother and I stayed here a couple of nights ago. All was well! A 5-minute walk from the Powell BART station, easy and friendly check-in, felt safe and was quiet, clean and had everything we needed. It was helpful to read reviews ahead of time knowing that the room would be small. Our room did not face the street and maybe that's why it was so quiet. There is a coffee maker and a fridge in the room, as well as a safe. Downstairs they had a microwave and coffee. Just one block away was John's Grill restaurant which turned out to be very nice! Almost too nice as the price for a hamburger was $25. I guess they are known for their steak. Afterwards we walked 4 blocks to the Golden Gate Theater to watch a Broadway show. It was nice not to hassle with the car. The hotel was everything we had hoped for and I'm grateful.

I was here for four days. Rooms were very clean. Housekeeping came daily. Close to Market Street and Bart station. A huge Walgreens right around the corner on Powell Street. At night, it was very quiet. Will be staying here again on my next visit.

We stayed 2 nights to see the SF Giants and Hotel Fusion was our temporary home. They made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. Sean/Shaun at the front desk took care of us and also 2 ladies were very helpful. Thank you for the great experience. My only complaint is the 1 elevator can be a hassle but we took the stairs many times. Good exercise. We paid $65/ night for valet but you cannot put a price on having your car in a garage where there is a tenant 24/7 in SF.

The check-in process was smooth. The front desk was very helpful in getting us in and filling out a card authorization form. We were surprised by the valet price however - $90 is definitely high. There is no self parking but the prices for the lots nearby are just as high, if not higher for overnight. We really enjoyed our room. It is definitely not the most spacious but felt quite luxurious. We booked a double queen room and were placed in Rm 920. There was limited walking space around the ends of the beds and desk. There was a beautiful view of the courtyard and city. I love that the room was very well-lit. There is ambient lighting and brighter lights you can turn on next to the beds. My friends and I loved the window that separated the bathroom from the sleeping space. It was quite comical and made getting ready for a night out very fun. There blinds for both the bathroom window and outside window were motorized which was a nice touch. The beds were pretty comfortable but nothing too special - I appreciate them having a bunch of pillows. The mini fridge and coffee bar felt pretty luxe and were much fancier than those are other hotels I've stayed at. There were plenty of outlets throughout the room and next to the beds. The whole vibe of the hotel feels very sleek and modern. The hallways are lit with a ambient blue. The inside of the elevators are themed which is super cute for pics. The gym is very nice too, loaded with more than your typical treadmill and elliptical. The lobby felt clean and had little robot things scooting around that apparently are used for room service. I would definitely stay here again so I can explore what I didn't get to see on my short stay!

When it was my turn at the counter, we were checked in pretty quickly and given a run down of the layout and weekend activities. Fresh water is provided right by the elevators so you can fill water bottles before heading to your rooms. And in the morning, hot coffee is provided right before you head out for the day. Pretty thoughtful. My stay was two nights, and the first night the street music and sounds came thru loud and clear. But the second night, it was quiet outside. So it's unpredictable if my stay would be relaxing or nerve racking. The room for 3 was a good size with a large bathroom, large windows of street view, and sizable writing desk, and arm chair. I got to use the gym once and it had all the general equipment and fairly large room. Upon check out, we received the kid welcome gift which was supposed to be at check in, but check in was chaotic so it was better late than never. It really made the difference in this case. First off, the lobby/rooms are gorgeous. It has a really fun, stylish vibe that sets a nice tone right when you walk in. I did happen to visit during a heat wave in San Francisco (rare timing) and unfortunately the AC stopped working in my room that night. But I have to give credit where it's due as the hotel handled it perfectly. They refunded the night without hesitation, and by 7am the AC was already fixed. That level of responsiveness impressed me. Three things I didn't like was they removed the gym for a conference/phone room? People like to keep their routine going while traveling and sometimes don't choose a hotel based on that. It also stated they had a gym, when they didn't. Should add it back. The bathrooms are insanely small. The lobby bar only has water? They can make some good money with such a nice bar. As for the location, if you're not familiar with Geary Street or the Tenderloin area, just do your research ahead of time. Personally, I had absolutely no issues at all and felt fine and completely safe. Try and get a higher floor for less noise, like any other city. It's also super convenient: there's a convenience store literally right across the street with snacks and anything else you might need during your stay. Between the staff, the vibe, and how well they handled the hiccup, I'd definitely consider staying here again (not during a heat wave haha)

However, from the very beginning to end ranged from confusion, annoyance, to plain nightmare. The check in process was confusing and and cumbersome. I was given no check in information, and there was no front desk. The intercom at the front door did not even work, and I had to call their actual "front desk" who apparently said they did not have my information on file and made me go through these annoying steps just to find my hotel room key in a lock box. The most frustrating and nightmarish experience came the next day when I lost the hotel room key (a physical key). I called the "front desk" several times but received no answer then finally got one after about 10 minutes. When I told the man at the "front desk," he told that he would have to speak to the housekeeper. After waiting for another 10 minutes, he informed me that I would be getting fined $200 for the lost room key, which is plain ridiculous, since they didn't have a replacement key (other than the housekeeper's key). I understand a $25 or $50 fee for a lost key but $200 for a freaking key???! After waiting for about 40 minutes total, he finally walked over with my replacement key and begged me not to lose it since that would mean the housekeeper can't even get in (how laughable). What's worse was that the other guests were able to use their phone or a passcode to get in since all the room had e-locks. When I asked the man at the "front desk" why I needed a physical key, he said that not all of the e-locks were working--including the one for my room. What a load BS. A horribly dingy hotel that can't even get its most basic sh*t together. Stay at this incompetently run hotel at your own risk or better yet find much better options.

The property doesn't really have a real lobby, spa, and the restaurant is average, as in the quality of the food was just not top notch, and they have access to the best ingredients. They only have two elevators and are quite slow, at a busy time this can be quite annoying. The room itself was small, no real furniture, would have been nice to have a sofa and table with two chairs. There was no dresser. The bathroom was great for one, but small for two. The shower didn't have a bench, no his or her's sinks. The bed when we got into it was super soft and not supportive, when we called they did something really odd and put a board on the mattress and then a topper. I guess they have a guest that asks for this. Why didn't the service people know they have a firm version of the mattress topper they could have switched for us. We didn't have the best sleep. Again, usually the Four Seasons beds are amazing. While this property doesn't charge regular Four Seasons prices, it also doesn't deliver the experience and it would be a shame if the brand started doing this.
